Hearing Luo Shu's teasing, Megumi Kato simply raised an eyebrow at him, then hugged the sky-blue folder in her arms tighter and said in a soft tone, "To think you'd ask me to deliberately frighten a group of already nervous girls. Does the Director enjoy watching startled cats that much?"
Luo Shu paused at her words, rubbing his chin curiously. "Do I really enjoy that sort of thing?"
Just then, Megumi Kato gave an affirmative reply in her gentle voice. "When you're slacking off, don't you often scroll through cat videos on short-video apps?"
"And you've also done it before. You secretly dangled a piece of string behind Nana—Yukino's British Shorthair—and scared her so much she scurried all over the place."
"Senior Kurumi and Senior Yukino have been looking for the culprit for a long time. They still suspect Miss Nia."
"Ahem." Luo Shu coughed drily, cutting Megumi Kato off. "Let's not mention such trivial matters," he said, sounding rather guilty. "In any case, I've provided a safe home for these little cats, haven't I?"
Megumi Kato glanced at Luo Shu, her eyes devoid of emotion, filled only with purity. "That may be so, but next time you decide to cause trouble, could you please avoid me? I find it rather troublesome to always be cleaning up after you."
Luo Shu casually retorted, "It's clearly your stealth ability that's too strong, Megumi."
"Using the Power of Existence to erase your own presence... that technique is just too cheap. It's completely impossible to guard against."

Megumi Kato did not bother to expose Luo Shu's lie, simply changing the subject deftly. "So, are you planning to use the properties of the Power of Existence to cover up the commotion Miss Giada caused this time?"
As the master of the Divine Pantheon, Luo Shu had extremely high authority over his Familia and could naturally borrow their abilities with ease.
And the effect of wielding the Power of Existence with Megumi Kato's strength versus Luo Shu's strength was two different concepts entirely.
Megumi Kato could only use the Power of Existence to hide herself, whereas Luo Shu could easily erase the existence of an ordinary person, or even an event that had already occurred, from the world.
With such a method, covering up Giada's major disturbance would not be difficult.
He just needed to erase the existence of the explosion at the Ministry of Environment headquarters from the world, allowing the headquarters to reappear completely intact.
Unless one was a Demigod who had mastered the power of concepts, the fact that the Ministry of Environment headquarters had been reduced to ruins would vanish from the minds of anyone who knew about it.
Without this key piece of evidence of Giada's attack on Kasumigaseki, the rest would be much easier to handle.

Luo Shu had no intention of hiding anything from Megumi Kato. He was not guarded around the secretary who managed his daily life. "We both know that the true trump cards of the Five Great Powers are those Divine-level Abyss Artefacts with unknown mechanisms of action."
"Every single one of them is a dangerous item of Angel Rank or even higher."
"The total number of these dangerous items controlled by the Five Great Powers, and what each of them does, has always been unknown to us."
"But the functions of a very small number of Divine-level Abyss Artefacts are public knowledge."
At this point, Luo Shu narrowed his eyes, concealing the gravity within his dark pupils. "One of them is the Divine-level Abyss Artefact we internally call the Scales of Order. Its function is suspected to be maintaining the current international and scientific order. It will indiscriminately strike any individual or group that attempts to publicly reveal the existence of the mystic side, subvert the scientific worldview of the masses, or overthrow a nation's government to establish a sorcerer state."

Hearing Luo Shu suddenly bring up the two known Divine-level Abyss Artefacts, Megumi Kato sighed softly. "So, Director, you intend to probe the boundaries of these Divine-level Abyss Artefacts' abilities?"
"...I do have that thought." Luo Shu pondered for a moment, then shook his head slightly. "However, the probing can only be done within the safest possible parameters."
"So, you intend to?"
Luo Shu narrowed his eyes, his voice low as he revealed his idea. "I want to see what happens if I have Evangeline enter the Hidden Management Zone and remotely control the Prime Minister of Japan. Will such a violation trigger a counter-attack from the Scales of Order?"
