Chapter 59 - Trying to Protect a Business Leader

A family car is driving down the highway; inside, a family is on their way to the beach. The trunk looks fully packed, and the children look very happy.

In the car were a father, a mother, two younger siblings—a boy and a girl—and an older sister.

"Okay, kids, what do you say if, before we get there, we stop to get some ice cream?" said the father.

"YES!" shouted the boy and girl excitedly.

"Oh, that'll be a hassle, Dad. We'll be late," said the family's older sister as she looked at her cell phone.

"Hey, don't be like that. Your siblings are happy about this," said the father.

"Hey, Dad, what's that happening over there? It looks awesome," said the boy, his eyes sparkling as he looked out the window.

"What's going on, son?" asked the man, confused, when suddenly…

A car sped past them at full speed. The man was startled, and even more so when, right after that car had passed them, another one also sped past at high speed.

The man was extremely confused, and the mother saw everything. "What's wrong with those drivers? They're crazy; they could cause an accident," said the mother, worried by what was happening.

"Don't worry, honey. They're probably just filming a movie or something like that," said the father nervously.

(In the car in front, which is going fast)

Ocho, with his exceptional driving skills, manages to accelerate without braking while dodging the other cars. Suddenly, a car crashes into Ocho, causing him to lose control.

Ocho slams on the brakes to avoid crashing into the highway wall; his car comes to a stop just one centimeter from hitting the wall.

"Damn it, hold on tight to your seatbelt because this is going to hurt," said Ocho, starting to press the accelerator harder and turning the steering wheel more sharply.

The car moves forward, but just then another vehicle comes along and hits it. Ocho, however, uses the impact to swerve to the side. He moves forward and increases his speed when another vehicle hits him from behind.

Ocho's car is now more damaged than the pristine condition it was in before. "Damn, and I even polished it before we got here." Ocho no longer has the speed he had before, so he changes lanes, entering a new road thanks to a downhill slope.

Ocho drives on and reaches a road further ahead where there are more trees and plants; since it's a more rural area, there are also ditches in the surrounding area.

"Damn, at this rate we'll barely make it to the festival ceremony," thought Ocho.

"Hey, do any of you know how to use a firearm?" said Ocho, looking at Kiyoshita and the secretary.

"No!" they said at the same time.

"Well, I see. 'I'm screwed,' then. Don't worry, I'll think of something," said Ocho, pondering what to do.

"But doesn't even one of you know how to drive?" said Eight.

"I know how to drive!" said the secretary.

"Good. Then wait for my signal to take the wheel," said Ocho, looking at the secretary.

Ocho got ready, and just then a car approached him quickly and hit him, causing him to swerve. But Ocho smiled and took advantage of the moment to pull over to the side, and one of Ocho's tires fell into the ditch.

But Eight did it on purpose to use it as an accelerator to change positions; the car swerves and ends up in front of the others. Eight smashes the car's windshield and then gives a signal.

"Now," said Eight, finally giving the signal to the secretary.

Ocho unbuckles his seatbelt, and the secretary switches seats as well. Ocho sends Kiyoshita to the back seat and takes the passenger seat.

"Alright, get ready. When I tell you, step on the gas and don't brake—we're going to plow through them," said Ocho.

Eight fired at the other vehicles speeding toward them, hitting several in the tires. Several cars flipped over and crashed into the other vehicles, which piled up and collided; some exploded.

"Now!" Eight shouted to the secretary at the right moment.

The car accelerates and passes through the other crashed cars, but due to the explosion, the fire builds up in front of them.

"Oh no, this can't be happening—I have to stop," said the secretary, trying to brake.

"No! Don't do it—this is the right moment," said Eight, grabbing the secretary by the shoulder.

The secretary hesitates but sees that it's already too late to brake, so she accelerates at full speed through the fire, but a piece of a car is on the ground, causing them to fly through the air as if off a ramp.

"Wow, this looks great, hahaha," said Ocho cheerfully as they were in the air.

"This can't be happening," said the secretary fearfully, terrified by what was happening now that they were in the air.

"Whoa! This is so much fun, just like we're at an amusement park," said Kiyoshita, surprised and excited at the same time.

"Hey, you too!" shouted the secretary, more scared by the situation than anything else.

The car hit the ground, but luckily it stayed stable. "Now brake!"

Ocho shouted at the secretary.

The secretary slammed on the brakes in a panic, and the car nearly tipped over and fell, but luckily it landed on its wheels without any damage.

"Everyone's okay," said Eight, still a bit dazed from the car's hard impact as it landed.

"Ugh!" said Kiyoshita and the secretary, feeling dizzy from the spinning.

"Well, if that's the case, then let's switch back. Give me the wheel," said Eight to the secretary.

The secretary agreed, and they switched places; now Eight was behind the wheel and the secretary in the passenger seat.

"Well, now it's time to go. That mess won't stop us for long," said Eight, stepping on the gas.

The car speeds down the highway. Ocho takes a curve in the road, smiling until he sees something in the right rearview mirror—it looks like more vehicles are passing by from the road above.

"Well, it looks like this is going to be tricky. If they're coming from above, there's a downhill section of the road where they'll catch up with us," said Ocho, assessing the situation.

Eight speeds up, pressing the gas pedal even harder; they're going faster than before, but right on the road ahead there's a sign indicating the speed limit is 80 km/h.

"Oh no, you can't ignore the rules—we'll get in trouble with the law," said Kiyoshita, seeing the sign.

"Hey, listen—I'm a mercenary anyway, so I'm already illegal. We're already as good as arrested if they see us," said Ocho.

"Besides, the organization is secret, so they can't find out who I am or get any information," said Ocho.

Ocho slows down, but just then there's a downhill stretch on the side and the cars start speeding down. Everyone sees this and gets worried (except Ocho); Kiyoshita and the secretary turn to look at Ocho.

"Well, this situation might look bad, but I'll think of something," said Ocho, pondering a plan.

Suddenly, they drive through a large pool of blood surrounding the area. "What's going on?" asked the secretary and Kiyoshita.

"Wait, I'll see what I can do. 'This situation is bad.' I'd better get ready," said Ocho.

In the middle of that pool of blood, there's a person reading a home appliance magazine. Ocho sees that person and smiles when he realizes who it is.

"Hey, look, there's someone else up ahead," said Kiyoshita, spotting someone.

"Hey, it's another one. We have to stop now; we can't run him over," said the secretary, seeing the man in front.

"Relax, we don't have to do anything now. We can just chill," said Ocho calmly.

The car drove past the man, who was completely calm, looking at the home appliance magazine. Kiyoshita and the secretary looked out the window at the man.

"Well, it looks like this time we really don't have to worry about anything," said Ocho, stretching his arms out calmly.

"Seriously, you're not going to do anything?" said the secretary.

"Relax, nothing's happening. Everything's fine for now," said Eight.

"Sir, say something! I don't know what to say to this guy—it's impossible to talk to him," said the secretary.

"If he says everything's fine, then it's fine. I believe him," said Kiyoshita.

"Oh, no way," said the secretary, already frustrated by the whole situation.

"Hahaha, you can stop now. Just have some fun with this, 'and thanks for taking care of this, Ten,'" said Eight as he thought, and they finally passed the pool of blood.

(On the road, in the center of the large pool of blood, the person who had been there)

~"Wow, you guys sure know how to have fun. Although, well, you're idiots—I should've expected it."~ said Ten, standing on top of a car.

Everyone who had been following Kiyoshita is out of their vehicles, surrounded by the others; the vehicles are floating in the air around them, covered in Ten's blood.

Everyone is on edge; each of them looks somewhat worried. "Hey, you're not leaving, are you?" said some of them.

"So you want to be forgiven, huh?" said Ten, pointing at him.

"Yes, sir, I swear I won't do it again," said the man.

"Yeah, well, you know, you should keep quiet—this magazine has some good gadgets," said Ten.

"So if you'd just let us go…" said the man.

"Let me make this clear: No!" said Ten.

"What?" said one of them who was standing there.

" Magnetic Contraction "

The vehicles contract and close in on the group of people, and in a swift and cruel manner, without a shred of mercy and in a brutal way, they wipe out the people.

The vehicles all strike the people as they converge, crushing and shredding everyone's bodies and flooding the street with blood. They press so hard they crush everything, eventually contracting until they form a neat little pile made of the victims' metal fragments, flesh, and blood.

"Well, their death wasn't the most merciful, but at least it pays for my deal with you, Eight, for the gift," said Ten, looking up at the sky.

(2 hours later)

"Well, I'd like to thank you for this celebratory ceremony to mark the new change coming to the world," said Kiyoshita into a microphone to a crowd of people.

"Well, now, if you'll allow me, I'll do the honors for this new change," said Kiyoshita, grabbing a pair of scissors.

Kiyoshita walked across the venue and reached the red ribbon. "Well, now it's time to change the world," said Kiyoshita, cutting the red ribbon and finally opening the new highway that would prevent more problems and reduce theft.

Everyone applauds the success and celebrates the new development; the celebration lasts several minutes, while Ochoe is inside the building at the counter.

Kiyoshita arrives, sees him, and walks past but speaks to him from a distance. "Hey, you know, I had no idea what all could have happened, but thanks for helping out so much," said Kiyoshita.

"Yeah, come on, that was my job, you know. Although, well, you're going to have to pay me a lot because the damage to my car isn't going to pay for itself," said Ocho.

"Yeah, you're right, you're always thinking of everything, hahaha," said Kiyoshita, laughing.

Suddenly, Ocho receives a call from the mercenary organization. Ocho answers the call and listens to what they have to say.

"Well, you know, with this, I want to ask you for a favor. I need someone to help me at the company," said Kiyoshita, but Ocho was listening intently to the call.

"I'm thinking about something big and new. Ocho, are you listening to me?! Hey, Ocho, wait—where are you going?!" Kiyoshita shouted, watching as Ocho ran off.

Ocho ran toward the exit, moving quickly. "Hey, wait—you forgot your—" Kiyoshita said. As he spoke, he saw Ocho's phone lying on the ground, still on the line.

Kiyoshita picks it up. "Ah… hello, this is Kiyoshita, the one who was supposed to protect Ocho," Kiyoshita said with complete confidence.

"Mr. Kiyoshita, look, we're just calling to inform Mr. Ocho that his home was attacked, and his wife contacted us a while ago, but then we lost communication with her," said the person on the phone.

"Wait, what are you saying?" asked Kiyoshita, confused.

"I'm saying we don't know if his wife is alive or dead," said the man on the phone.

Meanwhile, Ocho rushes home, driving his car at full speed, worried about what might have happened to her.
