Chapter 314 - Chapter 314: Lan: Completely Spicy

Yingxing slowly came to.

He struggled to open his eyes.

There was a metallic taste in his mouth.

Waves of pain came from the back of his neck.

His head and lower back both felt off, nothing felt right anywhere.

Yingxing pushed himself up with one hand, sat up, then raised his hand to rub the back of his neck.

'That guy Dan Feng really didn't hold back! Couldn't he show a little consideration for short-lived species?! Wait...'

The massive amount of information from before he passed out left him unable to focus on examining the strange condition of his body.

Yingxing suddenly looked toward the few people facing off.

Behind Zero, at some unknown point, there was now another man with blue hair and black eyes.

Yingxing was already too lazy to ask about the identity of strangers anymore.

After all, Zero was the strongest human. Having a few more subordinates who could freely enter and leave the Scalegorge Waterscape… very reasonable.

Zero still had a smile on his face.

"Dan Feng, you promised me before that you'd do three things for me."

"For the first thing, you already answered a few of my questions."

"Now, for the second thing, get me a medical kit."

In Yingxing's view, this request couldn't be simpler.

Dan Feng was the head of the Alchemy Commission. Forget a simple medical kit… buying a few hundred pharmacies wouldn't be any problem.

But for some reason, after hearing it, Dan Feng's eyes widened, and he shook his head hard.

Zero ignored him and said with a smile, "You know what I want. Alright, hurry and wrap things up."

When he turned around, his peripheral vision happened to catch Yingxing.

Following Zero's gaze, Dan Feng also looked toward Yingxing.

Zero stopped, smiling as he said, "You're awake? The surgery was very successful."

Yingxing, "Huh?!"

Didn't they just knock him out? Since when did it turn into surgery?

After saying that, Zero asked, "Dan Feng, how are you planning to handle it?"

Dan Feng was holding a windbreaker in his hands.

The High Elder had always lived in luxury and had never folded clothes before. His movements were clumsy, as if his arms might tangle into knots the next second.

The blue-haired, black-eyed man couldn't stand watching anymore and took the initiative to reach out.

A look of surprise flashed across Dan Feng's face, then his body stiffened as he handed the clothes over with both hands.

Aha, seeing this, grinned mischievously and handed the box to Dan Feng, then moved closer to that person, pulling at the windbreaker together with him while talking, "Ah, I'm way too familiar with this kind of work. When you and Nanook weren't around, it was always me doing the work..."

Lan, "…Oh."

Back when he was helping the Marshal take cloaks and put on outerwear, Nanook didn't even exist yet, let alone Aha.

Dan Feng held the box, his scalp tingling.

He forced himself to ignore the apparent argument between two Aeons and said stiffly, "I will allocate a portion of my assets as compensation for Yingxing."

Yingxing, "???"

Why was he suddenly getting compensation out of nowhere?

Zero and Dan Feng started discussing various landmark buildings of the Luofu on the spot, seemingly choosing suitable assets.

There was not the slightest bit of joy in Yingxing's heart, only confusion.

The hand he had raised to scratch his head stopped halfway.

'What is this on my head?!'

Yingxing reached up and touched it. What he felt was something like jade… a branch?

Why did it feel more and more like dragon horns the more he touched it?

Yingxing's hand moved downward, touching his ears.

They were pointed ears like those of the Vidyadhara.

His head spun, and he couldn't help interrupting the conversation between the dragon and the human.

"Dan Feng… what exactly is going on?!"

Zero pointed behind Yingxing with interest and reminded him, "There's also a tail."

Dan Feng, "..."

'Why are you still thinking about the tail at a time like this?!'

He gritted his teeth and manifested the dragon tail he rarely showed to others.

Yingxing lowered his head, and his gaze collided directly with his still-uncontrolled, crooked black dragon tail.

The corner of Yingxing's mouth twitched, "Thanks a lot."

Zero held a knife in his hand and smiled good-naturedly, "No need to thank me, it's what I should do."

His gaze lingered for a moment behind Dan Feng, and his smile deepened.

"Alright, we've delayed too long… let's go."

Lan's movement paused, and Aha reacted quickly, snatching the windbreaker, stuffing the ring box into his pocket while also taking his best friend's jade communicator, then stuffing the windbreaker back into Lan's hands.

In two or three quick steps, Aha moved to Zero's left rear.

In past cycles, he had been his best friend's capable subordinate.

Although Aha had tried to assassinate his best friend… but didn't he fail?

Back then, after dealing with all sorts of strange characters, Aha was extremely familiar with workplace unspoken rules.

For example, when walking with a superior, you should walk on the outer side, leaving the safest position to them, in case of traffic accidents.

Of course, Aha walking on the left rear wasn't because of the knife in his best friend's hand.

And definitely not because his best friend's dominant hand was his right hand.

Lan had the windbreaker draped over his arm, lagging half a step behind, walking on the right rear.

Zero casually handed the knife to Lan.

Aha stared without blinking at his former colleague's actions.

Lan put the knife into his pocket and continued to lower his head, brushing dust off the clothes.

Aha let out a sigh of relief and said emotionally, "All that's left is Nanook."

Lan, "..."

'Restart the universe together with the Marshal, is it?'

Zero, "..."

With these three Aeons gathered together… what kind of situation would that even be?

Dan Feng held the box, stumbling as he went to pull Yingxing, whispering, "Yingxing, I know you have a lot of questions…"

"Now is not the time to answer them."

"We need to stop him."

Before Yingxing could say anything, Dan Feng raised his voice, "Zero, if you leave, what about Jingliu?"

Zero didn't turn back. As he walked forward, he replied, "You're underestimating her."

"Someone like her, how could she go against the oath she made when joining the Cloud Knights just for love?"

"Even if it were me… as long as I stand against the Xianzhou, as long as the Xianzhou needs it, she would still raise her sword against me."

After hearing this, both gods and humans fell silent.

Even though Yingxing had suddenly changed race, after hearing this, he didn't have time to think about anything else.

Yingxing was deeply shaken.

So this was the Xianzhou Marshal? This was the strongest human?

So easily… assuming his lover would kill him? And judging from Zero's tone… he even seemed to admire that kind of behavior?

Yingxing couldn't help asking, "Even if you break up, you wouldn't care?"

Zero didn't stop walking.

When other people had problems in relationships, they would feel jealousy, anger, all kinds of emotions.

But he might only feel pain and sadness.

Zero's tone was extremely calm.

"I said it before, I will respect all her decisions."

"If leaving me would make her happier, I'm willing to let her go."

Yingxing's eyes widened.

'So that's what you mean by respect?!'

He had a lot of completely inappropriate things he wanted to say.

'For example, Jingliu is already preparing a proposal ring!'

'Besides, I've already saved up the money for your wedding gift!'

'I've already drawn the blueprints for your wedding present!'

'Do you know how much overtime I worked for you two? You don't!'

Yingxing wanted to speak but stopped, feeling extremely irritated, and even his tail lost control along with his emotions.

After being smacked by the tail of the person beside him for quite a while, Dan Feng finally couldn't take it anymore,

"Yingxing, control your tail."

Yingxing shouted, "Is that something I can control? It's my first day as a Vidyadhara!"

Lan shook out the windbreaker in his hand and skillfully draped it over the shoulder of the person beside him.

After only a few steps, they ran into the Vidyadhara.

More than a dozen Vidyadhara came running all the way, shouting loudly, "High Elder..."

The neatly arranged Cloud Knights followed closely behind.

Zero stopped and let out a deep sigh.

Still a step too late.

In the next moment, golden light tore through the gloom in the sky.

Two enormous golden divine figures descended into the Scalegorge Waterscape.

Zero, "???"

Hua wouldn't go as far as to send two Emanators to fight him, right?

However, whether it was the Vidyadhara or the Cloud Knights, all of them stood frozen in place.

It seemed they had no knowledge of this.

Zero instinctively felt something was wrong and turned his head to look at the Aeon on his right rear, only to see a flash of shock cross the other's face.

Lan raised his head and quickly recognized that this was the power he had given to the Luofu general and Jingliu.

He watched as the two divine generals, formed from golden light, slowly lowered themselves.

The divine generals bowed their heads to him.

Lan fell silent for a moment, then spoke with difficulty, "…What has descended here are my avatars, no different from other humans."
