"I think old families use old lawyers, and old lawyers use the same six forms they've used for sixty years, and half the sealed paperwork in the central district probably looks identical if you squint at it long enough." She gathered the sheaf together and squared the edges against the table. "Lynea's family sealed her records because that's what that kind of people with that kind of money do when they try to be sneaky. It's not the same thing - it's not even close to the same thing."
After a small pause, she added: "I even saw an attempt to file a "deceased" file - essentially erasing Lynea from this world, and blocking her from doing anything - transactions, enrollment, marriage, everything."
