Bend Will took effect immediately as not only Tyrion, Illyrio and Varys, but also Jon, the Golden Company soldiers and the guards of Pentos stopped in place. Each of them had a dazed look on their faces and I turned my head to Tyrion.
"What brings you here to Pentos, Lannister?"
"I committed the sin of kinslaying when I killed my father Tywin Lannister," I watched as Daenerys and Barristan looked shocked at his words. "The Spider Varys and Illyrio here were kind enough to grant me safe haven and shelter as long as I agreed to join their cause."
"And what is their cause?" Daenerys was the one to ask this time and I narrowed my eyes when Tyrion paused for a moment before speaking.
"They wished to form an alliance with you by having you marry Illyrio's son, Daemon IV Blackfyre also known by the false name of Aegon VI Targaryen," I paused at that and slowly turned my head with everyone else, Aegon staring wide-eyed at Tyrion as he shuffled forward.
"N-No. My name is Aegon VI Targaryen. My father-"
"-is me, Daemon," My head snapped around as Illyrio was the one who spoke and without my order at that. That shouldn't even be possible considering that his consciousness should be unconscious right now unless...
'Different world means different rules for each shout? This is confusing.'
"Your mother passed while birthing you and I was forced to not claim you as my own lest you be targeted by the Westerosi families," Illyrio continued with a sad frown. "I wished to tell you on the day that you were crowned king, but unfortunately, Daenerys here and her army grew to be a thorn in our plans."
"So, you're telling me that my entire life...everything I know...it was all a lie," I did feel that Aegon/ Daemon was telling the truth by the betrayed look in his eyes, Daenerys herself looking a bit sympathetic as Aegon spoke.
"What was your plan should that not have worked out? What if Aegon decided not to marry my mother?" I asked, deciding to give Aegon a time to properly absorb what just happened as Varys was the next to speak.
"If Daenerys or Aegon denied any attempts for marriage, we were going to kill Daenerys Targaryen and instill Aegon as the true blood son to Rhaegar Targaryen."
"You truly believe that my dragons would simply follow the command of anyone?"
"No, which is why we were taking measures to ensure that your 'children' would be taken care of in the dead of night."
'Ho-Magic? No, Varys hates magic. He wouldn't have used it,' I thought, pushing it back when I noticed Visenya and Rhaenys sneering at Illyrio and Varys.
"Sisters, calm yourselves. You will be able to kill them at a later date, but for now, keep yourself calm for Mother's sake," I spoke, watching warily as the two glanced at me before Visenya let out a shaky growl.
Still, the two forced themselves to calm down and Drogon gave a thankful smile as Daenerys stepped forward. She didn't say anything as she looked between the four figures, her gaze focusing on each of theirs for a few moments.
"Drogon, is it still active?"
"As long as I command it to be," I replied and she nodded before turning to Illyrio on the farthest left.
"Illyrio Mopatis, should I let you live, do you swear to follow my command as the rightful Queen of Westeros?"
"Yes, your Grace. As long as Daemon is left alive and safe," the man replied with a dazed, stoic tone.
"Varys the Spider, should I let you live, do you swear to follow my commands as the rightful Queen of Westeros?"
"No, my duty is to the people of Westeros, not its rulers. My duty will always be to the people," Varys replied in the same tone and Daenerys nodded before we watched her look to Tyrion.
"Tyrion Lanni-"
"As long as I get to drink and fuck whores, I am more than happy to help you become Queen."
"...Drogon?"
"That was his brutally honest response, Mother," I replied with an amused tone, pleased to see that Tyrion wasn't that much different from the show one, which was good.
Book Tyrion was, uh...well, let's go with not the best person and leave it at that.
"Very well. Jon Connington, should I let you live, do you swear to follow my commands as the rightful Queen of Westeros?"
"If you promise to spare Daemon and let him live, both the Golden Company and I will serve to fight for your cause."
"Drogon, end the spell, please," Daenerys spoke up and with a thought, I let go of their wills, everyone pausing with slow blinks before their eyes widened as their memories began to filter in.
"Anyone that wishes to attack us know that my son has far worse abilities at his disposal so I would not recommend doing so," Daenerys spoke with a thin smile and they all glanced at me as I spoke.
"WULD NAH KEST!" In the blink of an eye, Whirlwind Sprint carried me up into the air and onto the gate of Pentos, the guards beside me jumping back in surprise as I manifested in front of them out of thin air.
Turning my body to look down at the others, I gave a loud roar that echoed across the city and made the ground tremble beneath our feet.
"Listen well to what Mother wishes to say and Pentos may survive to see tomorrow," I growled and everyone turned to Daenerys as she took a deep breath before looking to the four in front of her.
"Illyrio Mopatis, Tyrion Lannister, Jon Connington. In response to your words, I have decided to grant your wishes and have you at my command. Do you swear to follow your word as I will follow mine?"
"Yes, your Grace," Tyrion spoke with a bow, Jon doing the same immediately after. Surprisingly and despite what I expected, Illyrio only took a few moments before he bowed his head as well and Mother gave a pleased smile.
That smile faded away just as quickly as she turned to Varys, who stood with a stoic gaze despite the two she-dragons at her side that was snarling at him.
"I will not apologize for my decision."
"And I will not burn you for it," Daenerys replied and I smirked as I saw the flicker of surprise in his eyes when I floated down.
"You...will not?"
"I am not my father that would kill every person that disagrees with me over every little thing," Mother replied with a sigh. "Yes, I do not trust you, but now that I know that you are more focused on the safety of the people, I can only ask that you help me figure out how to end this war in the most efficient way possible."
"...I will need time to think on that," he replied and Mother smiled before looking to her commanders.
"Barristan, Missandei, Daario, Grey Worm, Belwas, follow us to the meeting. My bloodriders!"
"YES, KHALEESI?!" The khalasar bellowed as one and she smiled.
"Stay here on the outskirts of Pentos and prepare yourselves for the journey across the poison water will be dangerous!"
"We shall do so, blood of my blood!" One of the older khals spoke with a thump to his chest, which the other riders repeated as she nodded.
She then turned to us, but before she could speak, I smiled and nodded.
"We'll follow closely."
"...Thank you. Now then, Illyrio?"
"Yes, your Grace?" Illyrio asked and I watched as Daenerys turned to him.
"Do you perhaps have a meeting room that we can use? There is a lot to talk about."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
A groan escaped my lips as I stretched myself out, my scales scraping against each other with loud pops. Visenya and Rhaenys laid beside me, the three of us unable to sit with Daenerys in the meeting room thanks to our larger sizes.
A content rumble rolled through my chest as I shifted to get comfortable, Rhaenys letting out an annoyed huff when my tail brushed at her side while Visenya just opened an eye.
"Some of us are trying to rest, brother."
"We are resting. You are just pretending."
"Which one of us stretched three times in the last minute?" Visenya asked and I rolled my eyes with a grumble.
"The stone feels uneven."
"It's built to be that way," she replied and I just snorted.
Lifting my head forward, I stared out at the crowd gathered in front of Illyrio's manor, all of them flinching back the moment they noticed my gaze.
"Leave before I start getting hungry," I grumbled, letting out an amused huff when all but the guards to the manor immediately scattered.
"You need to stop threatening people."
"Not my fault they make it easy," I replied with a shrug, Visenya closing her eyes with a huff before I glanced back at the meeting room.
In there, I could hear Daenerys's voice speaking with Illyrio, Tyrion and Jon Connington that was also now the guardian to Aegon VI or Daemon as we found out.
'If Tyrion is here, that means we're past season 4 after his trial. Wait, doesn't Jon get stabbed in the episode directly after the trial?' I thought before shaking my head with a frown.
Unlike the series, I know that it's going to take me at least a day to get there and even if I do, most of Westeros do not like dragons or anything related to them so I'd get shot down by scorpions and trebuchets before I could even get a word out.
No, saving Jon was not feasible now, at least not without putting Daenerys in the crosshairs of every enemy across the Narrow Sea.
"You're fighting with your thoughts again," Visenya spoke up and I turned to see her fully awake while staring at me.
"I'm thinking of something."
"I expected as much. What are you thinking of?"
"The coming wars. Mother wants to become the Queen of her home country, but I fear that this is going to be more dangerous than we expect it to be."
"It is, but that is why she has us," Rhaenys replied with a shrug, Visenya nodding in agreement as I looked between them before smiling.
"Then, let's make sure she becomes the greatest queen in the history of man," I responded, both of them nodding as the doors behind us opened.
The moment it did, I watched as Daenerys walked out, followed closely by Missandei and Barristan.
Moments later, Daemon and Jon Connington walked out, my eyes focused on the Golden Company's commander as the two stared at each other before the man smiled and said something with a nod.
Tyrion and Illyrio were the last to exit, making me narrow my eyes as I searched for Varys.
"What was your decision for the Spider, Mother.?" I asked, turning around with a growl as Daenerys looked at me before shaking her head.
"I had him confined to his room and guarded by Grey Worm, Daario and a dozen of my best Unsullied."
"And them?" My gaze moved to Tyrion, Illyrio and Jon, all of whom stiffened at my gaze. Daenerys glanced at them before she turned back and smiled.
"It's okay, Drogon. We are now allies in both contract and name. You do not need to worry about them."
"You know, I never thought that I would see a talking dragon in my lifetime," Tyrion spoke up as my eyes flicked to him. "It's rather incredible to see him do so in person."
"Believe me, you would have been more stunned if you just heard him when he first started talking."
"That was when I was struggling to formulate the words," I replied to Barristan's words, who gave a soft chuckle at my words before I noticed Tyrion turning to the other two.
"What of your 'daughters', your Grace? Are they capable of talking as well?"
"FUS," Rhaenys replied, sending out a light shockwave that made the ground quake as Illyrio, Tyrion and Jon blinked.
"Unfortunately, my sisters are not as fluent in speaking the Common Tongue as I am, but it is a work in progress."
"Dragons that can speak our tongue. That would be a glorious day for House Targaryen, would it not your Grace?"
"I can only hope so," Daenerys replied, stroking the side of my neck as Tyrion glanced at us before looking back at her.
"I do have a rather selfish request to make."
"If it is to free Varys, I will not. At least, not until I have Drogon's confirmation that he is no longer going to try and make Daemon the king."
"You don't have to worry about that, aunt. I have no want for being ruler," Daemon replied with a shrug and while they were not actually blood-related, I did give a hint of a fanged smile when Daenerys smiled back and nodded.
"I expected as much, nephew. Now then, everyone, it is time that I make something known."
"Your decision on whether or not we should leave for Westeros?" I asked and Daenerys paused as she looked at me.
"Beofre I speak, I will ask all of you. Ignoring my power as Queen, what are all of your opinions on this matter?"
"You know mine. Westeros or Essos, I don't mind either though Westeros might just bring more trouble than it's worth."
"I agree with Drogon, your Grace. While I understand that you covet retrieving your family's throne, it brings nothing but misfortune and burden to all who wears the throne. Barristan would agree, right Barristan?" Tyrion spoke and everyone turned to the knight in question.
"I have been Kingsguard to your grandfather, father and King Robert, your Grace. All were powerful young men in their prime, but the very second they sat upon that throne, the duties and weight that comes with it crushed their souls."
"So, you believe I shouldn't go for it?"
"That is what I believe, your Grace. Along with that, you would be seen as a foreign invader that wasn't raised in Westeros and the daughter of a mad man clinging to a legacy that has long been abandoned.
Here in Essos, however, you are seen as a liberator, the mother of dragons, the guardian of the freedmen, the breaker of chains, khaleesi of the Great Khalasar. Here, you are free to do as your ancestor did."
"...Are you suggesting what I think you are suggesting, ser Barristan?" Daenerys asked with a raised eyebrow, everyone else looking just as surprised as the man's words while I hid my grin as Barristan nodded with a smile.
"Essos has forgotten about the rule of the Valyrian Dragonlords. Perhaps it is time you remind them."
