Two days later.
The sorcerers who had originally been dispatched to deal with the various Culling Game barriers had almost all gathered in a meeting room at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Among them were the four remaining special grade sorcerers, including Yuki.
"This... feels pretty serious..."
Most of the students had never witnessed so many special grade sorcerers gathered in one place. The moment they entered the room, they immediately noticed that the atmosphere was completely different from the usual relaxed mood.
It was pressure.
Four individuals capable of destroying entire nations stood at the front of the room. Some had their arms crossed, while others had their hands tucked into their pockets.
None of them spoke, yet the invisible pressure they radiated made the younger generation feel suffocated. Some barely dared to breathe.
Fortunately, the atmosphere was quickly shattered.
"Everyone~ This is a specialty dessert I brought back from Sendai. Top-tier sweets. There's enough for everyone~"
Once everyone had arrived, Satoru suddenly pulled a massive box out from some mysterious corner. Balancing it on one shoulder, he lifted part of his blindfold and gave everyone a thumbs-up, enthusiastically recommending his latest favorite dessert.
"Of course, none for Utahime~"
As if remembering something important, he turned around and leaned toward his former upperclassman with a mischievous grin.
"Who wants your food anyway?! Show some respect to your senior, you idiot!"
Several imaginary veins seemed to pop out on Utahime's forehead as her face flushed red with anger. Usually gentle and kind, she had one weakness, Satoru Gojo.
Just like during their student days, the two would inevitably engage in a "friendly" exchange whenever they met.
"Gojo-sensei and Utahime-san really get along well..." Yuji scratched his head and sighed.
"I do not get along with him!" Utahime's eye twitched as she pointed directly at Satoru's face in protest.
In any case, the previously tense atmosphere completely disappeared after their usual bickering.
"Alright then. Let's talk about something serious."
Once he saw the students relax, Satoru's tone suddenly changed.
"On Christmas Day, we're going to bring an end to everything. The Culling Game, Kenjaku's schemes, Sukuna's plans... all of it."
In truth, none of this needed to be shared with the students. With the special grades present, they should be able to handle everything themselves.
But Satoru had been thinking. What if?
How strong was Sukuna at his peak? Did Kenjaku still have hidden cards after surviving for over a thousand years? Would the Culling Game truly end as smoothly as they hoped?
When he seriously considered these questions, he couldn't ignore them.
Although he and Mukuro were known as the strongest of the modern era, the outcome between the strongest of today and the strongest in history remained uncertain.
Satoru had confidence in his strength, but ever since the Star Plasma Vessel incident over a decade ago, he had learned an important lesson: being the strongest did not mean being invincible.
Understanding of jujutsu, the application of techniques, and information gaps could all become decisive factors between opponents of equal caliber.
He didn't believe they would lose, but neither did he want his own confidence to push his students into a hopeless situation. That was why he intended to tell them everything.
"Who's fighting Sukuna? I want the first round."
The first person to respond was Kashimo, who was currently staying at Jujutsu High. After the Culling Game situation had mostly stabilized, the school had lifted restrictions on players entering and leaving the barriers.
Ever since Sukuna had reincarnated into Yuta's body and left right in front of him, Kashimo had been itching for a fight. Now that his strength had fully recovered, hearing Sukuna's name immediately lit a fire in his eyes.
His excitement wasn't hidden in the slightest. Even the electricity naturally mixed into his cursed energy began crackling around him.
"There's no need to waste your life. I'll start the battle myself. I'll deal with Sukuna and bring Yuta back."
Satoru immediately rejected Kashimo's proposal. His words were direct and cruel.
During the past two days, he had come to recognize Kashimo as a remarkably powerful sorcerer. Even so, he didn't believe Kashimo had any chance of victory against Sukuna, even after activating his technique.
Meaningless sacrifices served no purpose. From the very beginning, they needed to go all out.
"My second life exists for this very reason."
Yet Kashimo remained as stubborn as ever. He wasn't someone attached to life. To him, life and death were concepts he had abandoned long ago.
If not for the opportunity to fight the strongest sorcerer in history, he wouldn't have cared about being reborn four hundred years later.
Either he would kill Sukuna, or Sukuna would kill him. That was the meaning he sought in this second life: to witness the absolute peak of jujutsu.
Satoru fell silent.
"What about Uncle Mukuro? Wouldn't your chances be better if you and Gojo-sensei fought together? And Geto-san and Tsukumo-san are here too..."
Megumi frowned as he looked toward his uncle, who had remained silent until now.
Although teaming up wasn't really Mukuro's or Satoru's style, facing Sukuna was different. For the sake of minimizing damage and casualties, surely it was understandable. In fact, if all four special grade sorcerers attacked together, they might be able to defeat Sukuna quickly.
"Kenjaku won't let us have our way." Mukuro shook his head. His nephew's thinking was a little too optimistic.
At this level of combat, only he and Satoru could directly face Sukuna at full strength. Everyone knew this. Sukuna knew it. And Kenjaku knew it best.
Although nobody wanted it this way, Suguru had to remain near the Tombs of the Star Corridor and protect Tengen's true body.
The problem was that the day of the final battle would also be Kenjaku's best opportunity to carry out his plans. And Mukuro wasn't comfortable leaving Yuki to deal with Kenjaku alone.
Which meant either he or Satoru would have to eliminate Kenjaku first and then return to join the battle against Sukuna.
"As for the King of Curses, I could give it a try too."
Another voice suddenly joined the discussion.
The speaker was Ryu, recognizable by his signature spiral pompadour. He had just pulled a cigarette from his pocket, only to stop after receiving a warning look from Satoru.
Having finally gotten to enjoy some "dessert," he was willing to risk his life as repayment for that sweetness.
Unlike those who had lived through the Heian Era, Ryu had never witnessed Sukuna's true terror firsthand. In his opinion, no matter how powerful Sukuna was, he still might have a chance to fight him.
"Okkotsu-senpai and Gojo-sensei really gathered some incredible allies..."
Yuji looked around the room. He had actually thought Uro might have been persuaded to come as well.
Just as the discussion continued, the meeting room door suddenly opened and Masamichi walked inside.
Standing beside him was a beautiful young girl with short golden hair. Much like Yuji when he first arrived, a small mouth suddenly appeared on her smooth cheek.
Upon seeing everyone present, it spoke.
"If you're planning to deal with the Disgraced One, I can help too."
