"Hmm… May-san, your meatloaf is great as always."
Loid spoke with May as he wasn't wearing a white lab coat. He is wearing a simple shirt with a vest.
"Aw, thank you Loid, I'm so glad you enjoy my meatloaf. Ben, Sekinin, would you like more slices of meatloaf?"
Sekinin nodded while crewing a piece of meatloaf, while Uncle Ben declined saying he is full but in reality Sekinin knows Uncle Ben doesn't like Aunt May's meatloaf but doesn't wish to say anything.
It was dinner once again, as this time Loid came by as he wished to catch up with the Parker family. May expresses her pride in Loid being a doctor, while Ben asks how many patients Loid checks up on, as Loid explains.
Sekinin just looks at his family and really wonders just how big it would be should Yor and Yuri also arrive here for dinner. Plus Sekinin did want to know how Loid would greet himself to Yor and Yuri while the two do the same greeting to Loid.
But Sekinin is still wondering how the three of them never met while Sekinin heard about the three of them from his parents when they were still alive. It just doesn't make sense.
And now that he thought about it, he knows Loid is a doctor, which means Gorou must know about him, well actually that depends on how Spider-Man would explain how he would know of a man named Loid Forger.
Plus, from what Yor said she is an office clerk at City Hall which is impressive while Yuri is working as the Police Captain in the Metropolitan Police Department.
"Richard would be proud of the man you become Loid. I'm sure he would absolutely be."
"Thank you Ben-san, it really means that much to me… I just wish I had gotten to see him one last time."
"Believe us dear, we all wish we could have, including Mary."
May said as she placed her hand on Loid's and spoke with a sad smile as Loid nodded.
"So, Sekinin, have you decided which school you wish to go to. Sure Shimokitazawa Middle School is an obvious choice, but I wonder if that is where you wish to go."
"Yeah, it is. Nijika and I are planning on going there once we graduate from Shimokitazawa Elementary. But I did hear my other friend Usagi and her friends Naru and Umino are deciding on heading to Juban Middle School as it is a bit closer to their district."
"A school closer to home does sound good, are you going to keep on hanging out with that friend of yours?"
"Oh absolutely! Usagi is my Bun-Head friend. Of course, I'll still hang out with her even in different schools."
Loid nodded as the family dinner went on with the Ijichis also arriving with Senatsu and Seika meeting Loid again as they greeted him with Loid doing the same.
While Nijika asks who Loid is Loid as Sekinin explains until Nijika remembers and apologizes to Loid for not remembering him. Loid said it was no issue.
Hours go back as Sekinin is currently sleeping in his bedroom, meaning his other half Spider-Man is currently webbing up another group of thugs who decided it would be funny to graffiti an artwork.
"As if messing with civilians wasn't enough for you, to think you would try to ruin this good art."
Sekinin spoke as he swung away while texting a message to Yuri about the thugs as all he got was a thumbs up which said Yuri is busy at the moment and can only send that.
While Spider-Man is once again swinging across the street he couldn't help but decide it would be a good time to check up on another spot where another idol murder was found.
Before he could check another location that he had pinpointed, he got a message from a phone number Sekinin had forgotten he even saved on his contact list.
[Hey Spider, come to a kilometer from the Ryuju territory, more specifically the rooftop of that pizza place.]
Now Sekinin just sighs and begins to swing to the Minato ward, again. Once he reached the rooftop, he mainly stuck his hands on the water tower. He looked around for a moment before his eyes caught his lenses locked into a pair of eyes in the shadows.
When the figure walked to the moonlight, well no introductions were made.
Behind the mask, Sekinin instantly recognized her, the light brown hair and light blue eyes. He recalls this girl from his first meeting with Ryuju Yazuka, the daughter of the Ryuju Group. Momo Ryuju.
"Miss Ryuju, I guess this evening meeting is something I need to hear?"
Spider-Man said as he web-lined down to her spot as Momo was just sitting on the floor with a folder, perhaps more victims' information.
Momo didn't say anything but just looked at the city from the top of the building.
"In a way, yes. But it is more than just that bastard's kill count. You know others are trying to find Kamiki right?"
"The Ryuju Group, the police, me."
Momo nodded but then turned serious.
"What if there are two more who are also trying to find him?"
This confused Spider-Man, he couldn't think of anyone else who was trying to find that man. He really couldn't. But the look on Momo's eyes said something.
"I overheard some of my father's men talking about something. Something that I believe you should know. Have you heard of the Chameleon and the Kraven?"
For Sekinin, the Chameleon was of course known to him thanks to that warehouse raid.
"I have seen the Chameleon, taking the identity of someone, he didn't fight me, but I'm guessing it's more than just another name he has, Twilight?"
Momo chuckled as if what Spider-Man knew was only a small amount.
"In the underground, he is infamous to those who had the displeasure of encountering him, he would realize too late when he is already within a secret group. A guy who can literally be anyone with a perfect personality, and no one will know. A very strong spy."
A spy. First time Spider-Man has, well actually unless you count that warehouse raid, the Chameleon did act like a spy for impersonating one of the men there.
"Anyone? Like any adult, what about a teen, or a child?" Heck, even a woman?"
"Some rumors here and there, but not all are confirmed. But that doesn't mean we should underestimate him. Though it seems he was infiltrating one of the members of the Ryuju yakuza just two hours ago, in a twist of misfortune for Twilight the real person he impersonated showed up."
Spider-Man felt an instant of Déjà vu despite being in completely different scenarios.
"But that didn't stop him from taking half of what we were supposed to give you. That folder only has half of what we managed to gather. It seems you aren't the only one who is using the information to gather clues."
And she wasn't kidding, because the last folder Spider-Man had was more full than what this current one has.
"Whatever the reason why the Chameleon is trying to find Kamiki is unknown, but hey, at least his hobbies would perhaps be good should he ever decide to actually wear his face."
Spider-Man just thought of the process that the Chameleon does. Sure it would surely bring out attention, but that would depend on whether the real Kamiki decided to let the impersonator cause more harm to his reputation or not.
Plus that would depend if the Chameleon would ever escape a literal army of police and yakuza should he decide to put himself in that kind of risk. Momo decided to add something else.
"Plus, even with the Chameleon being anyone, should he ever decide to take your identity. Well, that would be a problem that you are already dealing with. There isn't a shortage of Spider-Man impersonators is there?"
Spider-Man sighs as he knows Momo is right, there isn't a shortage. It was like some people truly have a death wish to try to take the credit or would try to frame him. Thankfully he has Yuri as an ally as he would spin the story to not seem like he personally knows Spider-Man.
"I swear if I see one more person trying to impersonate me while wearing a ripoff costume of my suit…"
"Well, maybe you should just tell them to stop trying to be you Spidey. Have you ever thought about that?"
"Would you believe me if you're the tenth person who asked me that question?"
Momo sighs as she decides to change the topic.
"Not sure if you heard this or not, but have you heard of the Tokyo State Security Service, also known as the SSS?"
"Them? Yeah, the security force that arrests anyone who is a spy like the Chameleon, and monitors anyone whom they deem a threat or suspicious. I heard they are feared by the public because of rumors of how they interrogate their suspects. But why are you telling me… Unless, are they after me?"
"Well, from what I heard, someone is currently monitoring you, not sure who, but they deemed you not a threat but still someone they should keep an eye on just in case. It seems you being a vigilante hero truly caught the attention of the SSS."
"Hmm…"
Spider-Man tried to think of how someone could be monitoring him. But he couldn't think of anyone, but if someone should have been monitoring him, then perhaps he should really train up his spider-sense. More than ever.
"Good to know. Is there anything else I should… Actually, you mentioned that there was someone else looking for Kamiki. Could this other person be a part of the SSS?"
"Oh! The SSS are also searching for that bastard, but the other person is someone else from the underground."
"Then who is the other person?"
"Well, it depends on whether you have heard of her. And I think I have said the name, but I'll say it again. Kraven the Hunter or Thorn Princess, whoever you prefer, her weapon is golden stilettos, rumored to have poison to kill an elephant. An assassin you hope to never cross or meet. So unless those clips or videos of you having fast reflexes then you'd better set them up to the max if you wish to live."
As if a spy wasn't enough there is an assassin as well.
Sekinin just thinks he should buy regular stilettos just to practice with his spider-sense to learn how dangerous they could be, without the poison of course.
Still, this Thorn Princess truly sounds really worrying especially with the second name Kraven.
"Kraven, yeah I keep a lookout… Wait, I just realized this. Wow, unless this Thorn Princess is for hire then perhaps there would be a chance to find him."
"Really depends if either side found a lead to where he is."
They suddenly heard sirens in the distance but it wasn't in the district where they both are currently in but it was still a crime happening.
"Guess our meeting has to end now. I hope that sirens must mean something or perhaps just another idiot, just either car hijacking or something."
"As it is, car chases are suddenly common. I'll see you around, try not to make me do something that will make me end our truce, and by try not, I mean any of your father's men."
Momo just smiled as she looked at Spider-Man as he swung away to the most certain police chase. She then said in a whisper:
"As if I'll ever use my connections for bad things."
Spider-Man just began to swing to the source of the sirens, and once he got close he suddenly began to sense something. Something… Scary, dangerous? Spider-Man instantly landed on a nearby rooftop as he looked around his surroundings, more like observing what got his spider-sense to react that way.
So far, he sees nothing, well it makes sense as it is dark, but the thing is his senses are still letting out a tiny buzz. Saying the danger is still nearby. Spider-Man carefully looked around until he spotted a figure jumping from building to building with impressive speed.
"Should I tail, or should I…"
He quickly looks back to where the police sirens are still heard and wonders if he should just follow that figure or see where the police are going to maybe find a clue that could lead to Kamiki.
But before he could make his decision, the spider-sense flared up telling him to dodge. Now! As he quickly moves his head just in time when a fast-moving something flies past him, he nearly makes a cut on his face, possibly near his left eye.
Spider-Man looked at a golden object and instantly saw it was a stiletto. He then turned and saw the figure who was just from a distance now feet away from where he was standing, holding onto the other stiletto. And while he couldn't see the woman's face, that didn't mean his spider-sense was now telling him to run.
Her outfit is a halter-style black dress, which features a red rose pattern lining the inside of the skirt. A black choker with a golden rose pendant and fingerless gloves. A gold headband with a rose and two long, thorn-like horns on the sides. And black thigh-high leather boots.
"The Spider-Man, to imagine that I'll see you here tonight."
The woman said in a cool tone, her weapon ready to strike in case Spider-Man proves to be a threat to her.
"…Yep, as if this night hasn't been enough for a simple quiet night. So… Should I address you as Kraven or Thorn Princess?"
The woman in question tightened her stiletto as Spider-Man's senses were literally telling him to be ready to dodge.
"To imagine even a bug has heard of me."
"It's an arachnid, not a bug, Miss Assassin."
The two stare each other down, waiting for the other to make a move. Then both of them instantly start to fight as Thorn Princess attempts to use her lethal punch but to her pure shock and mid astonishment, Spider-Man caught the punch and was holding the fist in place.
"Impressive strength!"
"Holy—! Just how much force did that punch have?"
Spider-Man can feel the pure raw strength of that, and is very certain that it would have pretty much hurt him had he not caught that punch.
He then used his webs to trap Thorn Princess' feet as she couldn't move, or so Spider-Man thought. Because in an instant she used her stiletto to free herself and threw that stiletto at him as he dodged.
Using the chance she ran and grabbed the other stiletto and began to try to hit Spider-Man as he dodged with the help of his fast reflexes and spider-sense. But when she did a kick and Spider-Man barely lifted his arm to block the attack, he was met with an impact that sent him into a wall.
But Spider-Man recovered just in time to dodge a deadly strike from Thorn Princess.
"Wow, you're truly that scary. There must be a reason why you're also… Wait actually if you don't mind me asking Miss Kraven why are you after Kamiki?"
Sudden Thorn Princess stops her movements. For a second, Spider-Man can feel the pure, intense murderous atmosphere. But she didn't do anything else but stare at Spider-Man as if she could see his eyes behind the mask.
"That is none of your concern, Spider-Man. That scum shouldn't have dared to do what he did, especially to…"
She didn't say anything else but just walked away before leaping off the building and vanishing into the darkness of the streets. Spider-Man didn't follow her like he tried to follow the Chameleon.
Spider-Man didn't linger a bit longer as he immediately went to see if he could see what the police sirens were heading towards. But the moment he got to see what could be said made Spider-Man assume Thorn Princess was just there.
A full crime scene of police tape, bodies being covered by white sheets. And from what he overheard while being hidden by the police was that the people who were killed were part of corruption involving other idol agencies.
And the stab wounds were mentioned and how some witnesses claim to hear someone shout the name Kraven. Which again confirms that Thorn Princess was just here. But that just makes Spider-Man wonder if the people she killed had some kind of connection to Kamiki in some way.
