Chapter 146 - The Notebook

"How did you know?"

"Just a coincidence." Watching Mirajane and Lisanna approaching from the front, Ur replied casually.

Mirajane and Lisanna had also heard Ur's earlier words. It took them several minutes to fully recover from their shock. After all, whether it was Gildarts or Cana, they had been companions for over a decade. Suddenly hearing that Gildarts and Cana were father and daughter—how could they not be astonished?

"Where are you going?" Seeing Ur suddenly get up and leave, Mirajane asked instinctively.

"Where else? Our assessment is over. Of course, I'm going to find a place to sleep!" Ur waved his hand without looking back and left.

Ur didn't care much about these emotional father-daughter reunions. Seeing such a scene didn't inspire any warmth in his heart; instead, it gave him goosebumps and an awkward feeling.

The S-Class mage assessment wasn't something that ended in a day or two. Ur had no ship, so he would have to wait until everyone completed the assessment before returning to the guild with them.

Monsters also existed on Tenrou Island.

Because the Tenro Tree gathered magic, the monsters on the island were generally huge and powerful. Ur only needed to hunt two or three to fill his stomach. He hunted two large monsters, gathered firewood, made a fire, and roasted them—all in one go.

Soon, the delicious smell wafted along the coast.

He even made a simple fishing rod from a branch, casting his line while enjoying the barbecue.

Lately, Ur had found himself increasingly interested in fishing. It helped him calm his mind and aided in practicing meditation magic.

The island's abundant magic attracted marine life. Even with his makeshift bamboo-and-vine rod, Ur caught several decent-sized fish.

After a while, a figure slowly approached from a distance. It was Cana. Her face still bore traces of tears. She walked over, glanced at Ur, and said, "Ur, thank you!"

"Mm! You're welcome." Ur didn't feel much about such matters, but when he noticed Gildarts slowly approaching behind Cana, he suddenly slapped his forehead. "Damn, I almost forgot the main thing."

"Since you're having a happy reunion with your father, I have a little gift for you." With that, Ur quickly pulled a notebook-like object from his pocket and handed it to Kana, then turned and walked away.

Cana opened the "notebook" with curiosity. The next moment, her expression turned icy, and Gildarts shivered inexplicably behind her.

Without a word, Cana turned and walked toward Gildarts.

Gildarts noticed the change in her expression and quickly forced a fatherly smile. Carefully, he asked, "Cana-chan, what's wrong?"

Cana: "Heh heh!" With a cold, inexplicable laugh, Cana slapped the "notebook" onto Gildarts and walked away without looking back.

Gildarts scratched his head in confusion, opened the notebook, and immediately froze.

Then, a furious, angry roar suddenly echoed through the sky.

"Ur, I'm going to kill you!"

Far away, Ur, who had long escaped, heard the roar and felt as if he had just drunk an ice-cold soda on a scorching summer day, utterly refreshed.

After all the effort spent gathering all the embarrassing histories. He had finally reached this moment. Ur was eager to see how Gildarts would manage to act all high and mighty now.

The S-Class assessment consisted of several stages. Ur had originally planned to go through a few stages with Cana to gain experience, but fate had other plans. She was eliminated in the first stage.

Without assessment eligibility, Ur could no longer continue observing; he had to wait for the assessment to finish. He dared not wander the island recklessly. Putting aside the question of whether there were incredibly powerful monsters here, even the mere presence of a certain "recluse" black mage was enough to keep Ur cautious.

So, he waited two full days.

The assessment finally concluded the next evening. As in the original story, Mirajane successfully passed the S-Class assessment.

Thus, the third S-Class mage of Fairy Tail was born!

After the assessment, everyone returned to the guild. When news spread that Mirajane had passed, cheers erupted.

When they learned about the relationship between Cana and Gildarts, everyone froze. Shocked murmurs rose one after another, and even Makarov's mouth fell open in surprise.

Then, the celebration began. This double-celebration party lasted all night. The guild was in absolute frenzy.

The only issue? Fairy Tail's "celebrations" were always… unique.

By the next morning, when everyone sobered up, they found half the guild destroyed. Tables and chairs were scattered everywhere; one even ended up on the guild's roof—how it got there, nobody knew. The guild walls had several large holes, and the air was thick with traces of magical destruction.

Sunlight streamed through the gaping holes, illuminating the guild's battered interior.

When Ur woke up, he found someone lying on top of him. A glance revealed it was Levy—no doubt about it.

As for Makarov, before Ur woke, he had already frozen in place atop a table. In the distance, Ur even heard the sound of a heart breaking.

First, he carried Levy back to the library to let her continue resting. Along the way, Levy, sensing some movement, nuzzled Ur like a little piglet before returning to sleep.

Once Levy was settled, Ur returned to find the entire guild scattered with "fallen bodies."

Seeing the scene, Ur actually felt a bit of sympathy for Makarov.

Just as Ur returned to the main hall, a soft knocking sound rang out.

Knock. Knock. Knock.
