Chapter 120 - The True Roar

"Humans, you have thoroughly angered the great dragon Hitsuya. I declare that from now on, you shall suffer the harshest punishment the world can deliver!" A mighty voice boomed from the drake's mouth.

In the next instant, Hitsuya opened its massive jaws wide. An astonishing roar shook the heavens and the earth. The rolling sound waves, coupled with overwhelming magical energy, swept across the land without restraint.

The drake's wings beat violently, whipping up fierce winds that snapped massive trees like twigs. The ground quaked and cracked, and the ambient magic in the air became completely chaotic, even causing the magic within everyone's bodies to tremble for a moment.

Under this terrifying surge of magic, everyone's movements froze entirely. Even the battlefield where Ur stood seemed to come to a halt, and fear was painted across everyone's faces.

"What kind of joke is this? What the hell is this magic?!"

"Were we really trying to take advantage of this thing just now?"

"Heavens! What have we done?"

Everyone's expressions were filled with terror. Even Ur's eyes betrayed his shock.

It was simply too astonishing. Though Ur had previously sensed the immense magic within Hitsuya, seeing it fully unleashed made him realize he had underestimated the true power of a drake.

Under the bright moonlight, dark clouds slowly began to form. Hitsuya alone was enough to subtly stir anomalies in the natural world, a testament to the drake's terrifying might. All magic in the area collapsed under just a single roar, including Ivan's!

Can you imagine Ivan, confidently using his illusion magic, suddenly appearing before Ur with a flourish? Ur couldn't—no one could imagine that feeling. But Ur knew exactly how he himself felt at that moment.

When Ivan appeared, Ur paused for a brief second. Then, a wild smile crept across his face—an uncontrollable mixture of joy and killing intent.

Ivan turned green.

Seeing Ur's progressively maniacal smile, Ivan felt as if he had swallowed something vile.

Without a moment's hesitation, Ur drew his sword and struck. This time, he would not give Ivan a single chance to cast illusion magic.

Swish, swish, swish!

A flurry of blade flashes engulfed Ivan, and in an instant, he was in grave danger.

"Shikigami!" Ivan waved his hand, and several paper figurines appeared. Under Ur's watchful gaze, they quickly transformed into humanoid forms. They were ugly, but they had heads, arms, and legs.

Ur glanced briefly and swung the Dark Dragon Fang, cutting all the shikigami down in less than two seconds.

"Damn it! Where did that old man recruit such a monster?!" Ivan's expression twisted. Ur had him questioning reality itself.

Ivan's face turned grim. Up to this point, Ur hadn't even cast a single spell; relying solely on his sword, he had suppressed Ivan, leaving him no chance to fight back or escape. Whenever Ivan tried to cast an illusion spell, Ur would strike first, aiming at his arm. If Ivan didn't stop, that arm would be gone.

"Damn it!" Ivan, enraged, gave up on using magic for defense and resorted to close combat, charging at Ur. He was kicked away instantly.

A joke!

Since Ur's body had grown stronger, few mages could withstand even a few moves against him in close quarters. With 70 HP and his innate Lava Beast Armor enhancing his body, Ur could now charge head-on against even monsters, let alone mages.

Though he didn't go all-out, Ivan's eyes nearly popped out from the force of the kick. He tumbled like a rolling gourd, flying dozens of meters before barely stopping. Half-kneeling, his round eyes bulged in sheer shock. "What the hell is this power?!"

Before he could recover, Ur charged again, delivering a sweeping whip-kick.

Ivan barely raised his left arm to block and was sent flying once more.

"Damn you! Are you even a mage? Use magic if you can!" Ivan's anger boiled over.

Two consecutive strikes had already destroyed his left arm and abdomen; he knew his bones inside were broken.

In a few flicks, Ur was in front of Ivan again. This time, he raised the Dark Dragon Fang.

Ivan's pupils constricted sharply. He felt the aura of death.

As the sword glinted coldly in the moonlight, Ivan's panic reached its peak. He didn't want to die—he wanted to live.

Just as he prepared a desperate final move, Ur's hair stood on end. An unimaginable chill surged from his core. Without hesitation, Ur grabbed Ivan, threw him aside, and slammed both hands down on the ground.

Rumble!

Earth Magic, Eightfold Rock Wall!

Deep yellow magic circles flashed as eight massive rock walls erupted from the ground in front of Ur. Each was over a meter thick, radiating immense weight.

The moment the walls appeared, a blinding white light filled Ur's vision, his sight completely obscured. A tsunami-like shockwave surges forward. In less than a second, the Eightfold Rock Wall shattered through five layers; the sixth held for two seconds before also collapsing.

Ur recognized this magic instantly—it was Hitsuya's roar!

At this moment, if viewed from above, the peak in the Hogria Mountain Range looked as though a colossal missile had struck. The terrifying magical shockwave radiated outward in a circle, obliterating everything in its path.

This was Hitsuya's true roar.

Compared to this, its previous roar had been nothing more than a playful exhalation.

A white light enveloped the mountain peak.

After more than ten seconds, the residual magic began to dissipate. A gentle breeze passed, and the dark clouds blocking the moonlight slowly drifted apart, and silver light shone over the landscape.

Only now did the scene on the mountain finally come back into view.
