Chapter 202 - A Year Before the Heavens

The wind over the Celestia God Academy felt different.

Calmer.

But beneath that calm—

Something was building.

A full year.

That's how long remained before graduation.

One year before students would step beyond the academy…

And into the wider divine world.

The courtyard was alive with movement.

Students packed their belongings.

Some laughed.

Some trained even now.

Some stood silently, knowing that when they returned—

Nothing would be the same.

At the center of it all stood five figures.

The ones who had changed everything.

Eryndor stood with his hands in his pockets, calm as ever.

Beside him—

Darius leaned against a pillar, eyes half-lidded but observant.

Kaelus stretched, letting out a long yawn.

Stellar stood quietly, arms folded, frost faintly forming at her fingertips.

And Rein Clark…

He smiled.

Kaelus rolled his shoulders.

"Well…"

He exhaled.

"I'll be heading back to my family."

He glanced at Eryndor with a grin.

"But first—I'm stopping by the Nasarik family with bro."

Darius pushed off the pillar.

"I'll visit my family too."

He paused.

Then added calmly—

"But I'll be training with Eryndor for the year."

Stellar smirked slightly.

"I'll be training as well."

Her eyes glinted faintly.

"Hope you all come back ready for graduation."

Rein chuckled.

"They've been calling us something, you know."

He looked at the group.

"The Black Sun Syndicate."

Eryndor smirked.

"…It does have a ring to it."

Darius frowned slightly.

"…Who started that?"

His voice dropped a bit.

"And how did they know Atlas fell so fast?"

He looked toward the horizon.

"…Unless they've been watching us for a long time."

"In silence."

Kaelus shrugged.

"Probably some information network."

Eryndor shook his head slightly.

"…Doesn't matter."

Silence settled for a moment.

Not awkward.

Just… understood.

Then—

One by one—

They nodded.

No dramatic speeches.

No drawn-out farewells.

Just quiet acknowledgment.

Because they all knew—

This wasn't the end.

They turned.

And walked their separate paths.

High above the academy—

Inside the principal's office—

Seraphina Caldris stood by the window.

Her gaze followed them.

A small smile formed on her lips.

"…They're ready."

Below—

Eryndor stepped forward.

The air shifted instantly.

Dark clouds gathered overhead.

Lightning crackled softly.

A storm answered his call.

A cloud descended.

He stepped onto it casually.

Kaelus grinned.

"Still showing off, huh?"

He jumped up beside him.

Without another word—

The storm surged forward.

Cutting across the sky like a streak of thunder.

Nasarik Territory -

The sky above the Nasarik lands darkened slightly.

Storm clouds rolled in.

Wind swept across the grand estate.

Then—

They descended.

The guards at the entrance immediately straightened.

"Welcome back, Young Master."

"And Sir Kael."

Eryndor waved lightly.

"Rise."

Beyond the gates—

The estate stood just as it always had.

Elegant.

Powerful.

Alive with legacy.

In the garden—

She was there.

Lyanna.

Sitting peacefully among blooming flowers.

She looked up.

And froze.

"…Eryndor?"

Then—

She ran.

Straight into him.

He caught her easily.

Held her close.

Smiling softly.

"Hey, babe."

"…I missed you."

She laughed quietly against his chest.

"I missed you more."

Then—

A small voice echoed from behind.

"Papa!"

Aren.

He ran—

But not on the ground.

The air itself formed beneath his feet.

Each step carried him upward.

He leapt—

Straight into Eryndor's arms.

Eryndor lifted him effortlessly.

Smiling wider now.

"Hey, son."

"How are you?"

Aren giggled.

"Good!"

Kaelus crossed his arms, watching with a grin.

"So this is my nephew, huh?"

Lyanna looked over.

"Hey, Kael."

Kaelus nodded casually.

"Hey, sis."

"How've you been?"

Before she could answer—

A voice cut through the moment.

Gruff.

Familiar.

"Only know how to come back home now?"

They all turned.

Zephyr.

The old man walked out slowly, hands behind his back.

His presence alone made the air feel heavier.

Eryndor smiled.

"Hey, Grandpa."

He stepped forward.

And hugged him.

Zephyr scoffed.

"…Don't get all sentimental."

"It's not like I'm dead."
