"What if I refuse? Do you intend to force me to stay?" Doran asked, his eyes gleaming with defiance.
Taranis turned his head back, his dual pupils glowing a brilliant gold as he spoke in a deep, commanding voice,
"Watch your tongue, boy."
Doran did not respond. Taranis's gaze sent a cold shiver down his spine, making his entire body tremble uncontrollably.
As Taranis was about to leave, Doran murmured in a low voice,
"If I do not participate in the war, I will never be able to meet elder sister and father in the eye."
He bowed before Taranis, tears forming in his eyes as he continued,
"I beg you to let me participate. I would rather die in battle than stay out of the war against the people who destroyed my family."
Taranis halted his steps and spoke before walking away again,
"You will stay close to Lord Tartaglia."
"Thank you... brother-in-law," Doran said, a smile of relief forming on his face.
