Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

A slash came down from the top right, veyrah barely had time to react. tilting her head slightly to the left, the wind pressure of the slash cut the tree down and those behind it.

The tree came down with a loud slam onto the ground, blood spilled and screams of agony came from the unfortanate souls behind it.

"How weak! Is this really what the voided rogue has to offer?!" Knightbane lifted his sword over his head, only with his sheer strength he broke veyrah defenses.

"You talk too much for someone about to be covered in his own blood." Her eyes flickered from the color like that of a amethyst to void black.

Knightbane hands shot forward to grab her, but it merely went through her because she already dissapeared into the shade of a tree, his gauntleted hands holding nothing except the air.

Knightbane huffed from annoyance and let his arm fall to his sides. He looked around with caution before sending a presence behind him. He reacted too late. Veyrah dagger slipped between his armor and buried itself into his flesh with a dull thunk.

Knightbane gritted his teeth behind his helm, he turned and with the side of his fist it hit Veyrah's cheek. Sending her a couple steps away from the impact, blood spilled from the corner of her mouth.

Kgh... Another strike that powerful and i'm out of commission.

"I overestimated a mere dark elf, a void core and only this? Pathetic." Turning to her, he reached up to his shoulder and pulled the dagger out, blood spilled out much to his annoyance.

"The only dead man i see," the air was tense as he readied his sword once again, and veyrah got into a stance. "Is you."

Veyrah dashed towards him. Reacting quickly his sword came down, but. With a loud thud, steel slammed against steel. Knightbane was sent tumbling to the ground.

"A knight facing a rogue? Not a fair match up in my opinion. so, how about you face another knight?" Rowan remarked, he fixed his footing before reaching into his pouch and taking out a small red vial with red liquid inside it. Rowan tossed veyrah the vial.

Veyrah caught it, with a pop the vial was open and she gulped the liquid down. She gritted. Pain crashed her nerves as her wounds started to heal, stitching itself into one piece. She glanced at rowan. "Thanks."

That made the knight pause briefly, being thanked was... Rare, especially from anyone in this party.

"Uh- yeah, no problem." Rowan quickly got back to his senses, redirecting his focus onto the opposing knight infront of him. While Veyrah slipped into Rowan's shadow.

Knightbane got up to his knees, looking up with annoyed expression towards rowan. "You will pay for interrupting my fight you low life," he insulted him. before charging towards Rowan and tackling him into a tree.

The tree trembled at the force, leaves fell down around them as Rowan pushed his back into the tree and kicked knightbane away. Recovering quickly a slash came down aiming for his neck.

"Annoying pest, you keep clinging to the little life you have left." Knightbane raised his arm, Rowan sword buried itself deep into his gauntlet with the sound of steel crunching, his sword stopping just milimeters from Knightbane forearm.

He pulled an arm back, and with a single punch, his chestplate cracked slightly and it sent rowan flying towards jinx. She dodged easily, looking at Rowan on the ground she just giggled cruelly. "Awww~ you look so pathetic. Well too bad!"

Jinx cheerfully hopped over rowan, she then grinned. Thirsty for the screams of suffering she charged towards a group of five terrified people.

"Fuck you jinx..." Rowan groaned, his grip still on his sword his armor clanking as he slowly got up his gaze focused on the armored figure approaching. Around him was his so called 'companions.' fighting around him.

Both hands quickly gripped the blade of his sword, lifting it up just in time as steel againts steel clashed.

"Keep your attention on this fight, fool." Knightbane pushed his sword againts rowan's, struggling even more he gritted his teeth and headbutted the opposing knight. Somehow managing to stagger him through his helm and denting it slightly.

Taking this opportunity, he closed the distance. Lifting his sword to pierce his chin.

But knightbane recovered fast, his hand moved to cover his chin and Rowan sword sliding off the gauntleted hand with a spark.

For a split second Rowan was wide open, vulnerable. And knightbane took that gap, he stepped in.

The sword came for his neck, Rowan barely managed to reach. He caught the blade with one hand but the strike was too strong. It tore past chainmail and flesh. Leaving a deep gash.

"Gah-!" Rowan bit his tongue to prevent himself from screaming, gritting his teeth he kicked knightbane away, prying his sword off his neck in the process.

Shit... I can't keep fighting with a injury like this.

But this is a fight between enemies, not allies. And they never give you time to recover. Knightbane rushed in, his sword ready to strike. Rowan steeled himself and lifted his own blade. Waiting for the strike to come.

The first strike came from knightbane, Sparks flew as their swords clashed. Rowan was managing to hold his own but with an injury like that. It only gets you so far. Knightbane was getting the upperhand, he kept and kept pushing back rowan and forcing him on the defensive.

Rowan dodged the next strike, he felt his arms getting heavier and slower. But he saw it, Knightbane was getting reckless from the domination over him and he was leaving gaps, either it was a trap or not. But rowan had no other choice. It was either this or keep taking the barrage.

He took the bait, he ducked another strike and stepped in. Thrusting his sword he aimed low, knightbane knees.

It hit, Rowan tip pierced through flesh and bone. Going through the other side. Knightbane let out a roar from pain.

"Got you!" Rowan planted his foot against knightbane chest and pulled out his sword, the tide of this fight has changed as Rowan pulled his fist back and punched knightbane helm, denting it.

The barrage kept coming, not giving knightbane a single second to even think. Prolonging this fight any longer would be a death sentence.

Knightbane staggered back, ...then he laughed, something's wrong-

"Agh?!" A massive hand gripped onto Rowan neck, somehow, someway. Knightbane still had strength left.

"If I'm gonna die..." His grip became tighter, Rowan desperately tried to free himself but he was too strong. "I can't be all alone in hell."

"Kgh-! Dammit, do it now!"

Another presence appeared behind knightbane, it was Veyrah. She had moved from Rowan's shadow to his while he was distracted. And now it was a critical moment to end everything.

"No one will be accompanying you," She stated firmly, latching herself onto knightbane's back a barrage of stabs came from her dagger, punching through his back and neck. "To hell."

He finally let go of rowan, his focus now entirely directed on Veyrah on his back. Trying to throw her off him.

"Veyrah, move!" He shouted, one final time he lifted his sword againts the knight infront of him, pulling his arm back and it going forward sharply for a fast thrust aimed at the crevices of the helm eye sockets.

With a wet and squishy sound it pierced his eyes, and went all the way to the other side.

"...he's dead," Veyrah said, finally moving herself from the dead knight back, her feet touching the grass.

The knight breath was heavy and shallow, he slowly pulled his blade back. Knightbane then finally fell forward.

A brief silence fell, his grip on his handle tightening and then relaxing before a small chuckled escaped his lips.

"I'm still alive, Hah..." He exhaled slowly, before collapsing onto the grass "I wonder how the others are doing." Rowan muffled voice came out from the grass again. "They better be alive..."
