"You mean that when NPCs evolve, the game client becomes more bloated?"
"Exactly!"
Chen Ba frowned and said, "When NPCs evolve from level 1 to 9, no additional resources are generated, because the client already includes those parts."
"But when NPCs evolve to level 10, the game will generate some new resource files..."
This process is quite hidden.
So hidden that Chen Ba didn't notice it at first, and regular players would pay even less attention to this detail. After all, everyone's focus is more on the in-game experience, so who cares about changes outside the game?
When hundreds of gigabytes, or even terabytes, of hard disk space are secretly occupied by the game by a gigabyte or two, would anyone really notice?
Even if they did notice, they wouldn't think it's a problem with the game's core, but rather suspect that another update was made.
"Is there really such a thing..."
