Except for during the school term, Tiana Hayes stayed in the countryside and was a very down-to-earth girl. When Ms. Hayes was cooking, Tiana eagerly helped out. She was quite enthusiastic about doing chores.
When it was time to eat, Serena and the others were all cooped up in their rooms. Tiana stood in the living room and shouted, "Time to eat!" Her voice was much more penetrating than Ms. Hayes's; as soon as she called out, everyone came out.
Serena noticed Norbert's face didn't look too good and curiously asked, "What's up with you? Why do you look so unwell? Did you stay up all night coding again?"
Norbert irritably scratched his head, his voice hoarse and full of fatigue, "I was startled awake."
He had been napping earlier, and when he heard the call for dinner, he was startled awake with a sudden jolt, and he still hadn't recovered. This girl's voice was so loud, it totally left Ms. Hayes's in the dust.
