Chapter 86 - Identification

No. 10 knew that no. 1 didn't mean it and the wording seemed calm enough, but no. 10 understood what the other party meant. The achievements that no. 1 has was something that he exchanged with sweat and blood. Perhaps also tears over the past three years.

They were all treating this as a game and didn't care too much even if they died in the first half.

After all, they would not really die at that time.

Even though they lost the chance to get skill points on their own, when they were not confident of their own ability, it didn't seem to be of much use. At least for him, he didn't even get even a single skill point before he was killed by no. 11 retaliation.

So no. 10 didn't care that much.

After entering the main storyline, he was simply fed up with the fact that they have to follow the main storyline and the fact that these people were protected just because they were the protagonist of the story.

The world is revolving around them and he could only become the supporting role.

'In that case, let me make my exit memorable enough.' No. 10 sneered.

Anyway, he would not really die and in this game-like world, he just wanted to have enough fun before returning to his own world.

That would be for the best.

But he respected other people's opinions. Because he could guess neither of those six people (including no. 9 who died at the last moment) who were able to survive for so long should have it easy. The black and red sides were really busy.

In the past few months, he was already going crazy with his work and so on.

Yet, no. 1 was able to complete his side mission and even advanced the main storyline so much while no. 5 was able to rise steadily through ranks. No. 7 also managed to survive for a long time without being found as an undercover agent even though he claimed that he was being lazy enough. No. 4, despite being suck at her work, was actually quite stable and had been promoted to be a police sergeant recently. No. 8 was able to finish his second main mission on his own and even if he made a lot of trouble, he was also extremely capable.

As for no. 9, no. 10 was not entirely sure, but she shouldn't have it easy as a member of the black side who was put into the CIA alone. The only good thing might have been the fact that she was not really from the black side, so she didn't suffer much when doing her work.

Each and every single one of them survived with great tenacity and might have long treated this world as a real world instead of a game. It was different from those who didn't survive for long and still have more of a mentality of having fun.

…Though, the greatest troublemaker so far seemed to be no. 1 and no. 8.

It's outrageous.

No. 10 felt that no. 5 will become bald because of them.

Anyway, he should have been a real member of the organization and based on the log, he's indeed one.

He joined on his own initiative because he was crazy enough.

It surprisingly fit his personality very well.

Kurokawa Saki had already dressed up as Midori Yuki and took her usual hoodie as she was prepared to walk out.

"Any mission?" Kenan asked curiously.

"No. I just need to stay in the bar for a while." Kurokawa Saki chuckled. "I heard that Gin will come back today and I can take this chance to have a fight with him."

Kenan: "..."

She's really a girl, right?

Why did it seem that she was so eager to fight all the time?

This made him feel as if he had raised 'his daughter' wrongly.

On the other side, Miwako and Megumi Aiko were checking the surveillance cameras of Kinoshita Kobashi's movements.

Megumi Aiko suddenly said, "Come to think about it, I saw this man outside the convenience store that day."

"Huh? Really?"

"Yeah, his scar is too obvious and it scares me for a moment." Megumi Aiko complained. She was more startled because of Amuro Toru's appearance than this man, but she couldn't say that.

Normally speaking, she shouldn't have known him.

"Let's check that area."

The surveillance footage moved towards the areas where they had a case that day. Megumi Aiko could still remember that case very well and she didn't like it that much.

It was so simple, yet she couldn't find it.

And then they moved towards the surrounding area. They saw Kinoshita Kobashi entering the alleyway and stayed there for a while before leaving again.

"Are there any cameras that caught the alley or at least, the entrance and exit?"

"Let me see…"

Several other surveillance cameras were used but there were still three people who entered the alley.

'One of the three, the classic rule of the Conan world.'

Megumi Aiko sighed and then propped her chin. They should start doing elimination one way or another, but this time, they have a cheat.

"Hmm? That person's appearance is fake," Kami Shita words could be heard loud and clear, reflecting her surprise as she repeated what no. 1 said in her private channel.

She was genuinely surprised because the message came suddenly.

And at this time, Midori Yuki had already arrived at the bar. She came to sit down in front of the table and tilted her head. "You don't look so good, Gin. Did something happen?"

"It has nothing to do with you." Gin sneered and turned to look at Cava. "Cava, the lines you're responsible for have some problems. Did you really not notice anything wrong with it?"

Cava was stunned. "Gin, the last time I worked on it was more than half a year ago. I handed over the work over there to Champagne. If there's any problem, it should be her problem, isn't it?"

Gin sneered. "You better not lie."

Cava pursed his lips and sat further away. He rubbed his finger and knew that no. 5 should have made the move and finished their exchange of information with those countries. Only in this way would it be possible for these lines to have problems.

He had been working hard for a long time and felt that it was far from enough.

And it seems that he has been criticized a lot by Gin lately. This wouldn't work. If he continued to be suspected, he wouldn't be able to stay in the organization for long.

"You're always so suspicious, Gin. Are you not worried your beautiful long hair is going to turn bald?" Sake clicked her tongue with a curious and playful tone.

"Brother will not turn bald!" Vodka was shocked by Sake's words.

"Eh, I'm just saying~." Sake chuckled.

"Ignore him, Vodka." Gin didn't bother to pay attention to this person anymore. This was a madman whom the organization had cultivated in the past few years.

Aside from the first few times he met with the other party when Sake first joined, she spent the next few years in faraway places. Her reputation was also quite loud in those places.

Sake chuckled and didn't make trouble. She just went to the bar and knocked. "A glass of sake."

"Yes." the bartender's low male voice could be heard.

When the bartender raised his head, Sake arched her eyebrows. "So it's Vermouth. Why did you come here with your face changed?"

"You're not fun, Sake." Vermouth's helpless voice could be heard and Sake just shrugged.

She sat down on the chair and looked at the video that no. 6 was watching. Seeing someone suspicious, she simply started giving messages and reasons to the other party.

For Sake, identifying Vermouth's disguise has become a daily occurrence for her. She had done that so many times because the organization wanted to make sure that she did kill all of her targets.

Because sometimes, some information still leaked out.

Naturally, Sake put the blame on the intelligence officer. Before she built her ghost army, the three ghosts were busy every day transporting the newly born 'ghosts' from her mission. She could do up to five missions in a day and barely had a rest.

All of those missions were killing missions and Sake always acted as if she was interested in killing.

Those were low ranked missions and many people could actually be handled by others. But for the sake of getting enough points, she took it over and then secretly saved the targets or their family members who were implicated.

It was very tiring.

Later on, she started to orchestrate various killing methods and so on, reducing her killing mission and participating in more complex missions.

The target was no longer low ranked people but also those with real important power and position.

But that was for later.

The problem is, some information that should only be known by these dead people somehow got leaked out. The organization wasn't fully suspicious of her since she had never gotten close to them and with her mission frequency, there was simply no chance for her to do anything.

But they still have to test her.

Vermouth came to her frequently, appearing in the form of these people who should have been dead. The only way for Sake to recognize her was if she could see the other ghosts.

So during that time, she forced herself to watch over Vermouth carefully.

Every disguise will leave some traces, even if it's very faint.

There was a time when she had no ghost accompanying her and she saw someone who should have been dead or to be exact, in the state of ghost. It took her a few moments before decisively pulled a gun on the other person's forehead and almost killed the other party.

It was naturally Vermouth.
