Their whispers slithered around her like snakes, but Elena held her chin high. Who was she to stop them from talking, let them talk...
They both walked towards a table, gathered around it were five people. Two elderly men and women and a young girl with her hair braided in a pony tail.
"Brother" She waved happily at Adrian and he smiled at her
Oh! here were Elena White's and Adrian Black's parents and of course his little sister
Okay, let's at least be respectful, she was about greeting both parents as a proper lady about to get married to a very wealthy family but stopped herself. This was the same thing Elena did in the novel. Greeting them and got ignored
She smirked, everyone's eyes were on her waiting for her to greet the elders especially the Black but sorry to surprise you all, she wasn't going to be known as the Arrogant young lady White anymore.
"Elena" Her supposed mother smiled at her telling her what she needed to do with her eyes
Giving her a cold face, she walked further into the room standing at the front, she faced the room still with a cold expression.
"Can I get everyone's attention?" All eyes turned to her waiting for her to spit out the gabbage she had to say
Clearing her throat, she smirked "Tonight, I am breaking off the engagement between the White and the Black family"
Gasps followed her words...
"Is she crazy?"
"After suffocating the Black Empire on wanting to marry their son, now she was breaking it off?"
"What a shameless daughter the White group has!"
Her mother walked towards her, anger evident on her face "What do you think you are doing?" But Elena only gave her a blank expression
"Do not interfere, mother" This time her face had turn cold again
Alvera was surprised at her daughter's attitude, she has never spoken to her in this manner, what has come over her?
Elena's eyes didn't fail to catch the cold brown eyes staring at her...
He stood watching her actions. What was happening to her?, Was she drunk? Ending the engagement? His always cold eyes were now filled with amusement. What was this woman up to?
Not minding what she said, he walked to her. Standing right at her front with a smirk, his voice low and mocking "Amuse me very well, let's see how long you can keep the act"
Ignoring him, Elena walked away from his presence
"How dare she!"
"Walking out on the Black Empire's son? How audracious!"
"Is this how she would continue to disrespect the Black Family?"
Adrian stared at her retreating back, walking out of the hall. He must say this woman really amused him tonight, acting all clingy all these years and suddenly breaking off the engagement? He was sure shocked and surprised
Elena threw herself to the bed. There was no use in waiting when she had made herself clear, she was ending the engagement. Nothing more, nothing less. She rested her head on the pillow about to doze off.
