I narrowly dodge the object. It speeds past, performs a precise U-turn, and accelerates toward me again.
This time, I hold my ground. I have my parrying daggers, my hook and rope, my sling... none of which fit the task. The object nears. With shame, I dodge it again.
I remember my cloak. Of course, the cloak! The object completes its U-turn, and I'm ready with my weighted cloak in hand.
It accelerates again, faster than the first two times. I extend the cloak to my side like a matador.
As the object is about to make impact, I leap to the side and throw my cloak around it. It doesn't wrap it completely, but before the cloak falls off, the object collides with the wall.
I retrieve my cloak and prepare to repeat this, but the object proceeds down the tunnel and doesn't look back. It seems they're very vulnerable to blinding.
"We've always overcome the patrol constructs by hiding. We never thought they would let go of a spotted target that easily," my guide remarks.
