Chapter 234 - Cap.221 - Cosmic Slug, Charriot and Sage

Ringo looked at the list of Hell players who had reached the finals, among the foreign teams, two were from Hell: Throne of Gods and Golden Orange, and of the 16 individual players, 3 were from Hell.

One player with Esper powers became quite famous among them, his name was Cosmic Slug. His Esper power was basically to create a liquid as dense and viscous as tar!

Fighting him was truly extremely annoying, he basically created various tar traps across the field, and even with Pugilist energy, it was extremely difficult and wasteful to get rid of it.

The player was also very good at using his Esper power in various ways, he resembled Ringo, a mix of Spider-Man, using the liquid as 'webs', and Hisoka, being able to change the elasticity and grip of his 'tar'.

The player reached the top 8 using this Esper power, but didn't go further because he encountered a Cannon Master.

The player named Charriot invested heavily in his equipment, not letting Cosmic Slug get close. In fact, this player was also one of the Hell players who reached the Top 4. He was disqualified by Admiral King, the guy really gave up all defense and his life almost reached 0 while he was getting close enough, but the moment he got close, a series of quick and ferocious combos didn't give the mechanic time to defend himself.

It was a close victory.

The last player to make it into the top 16, Sage, she is an Esper, but the novelty was that her Esper power was Technopathy. A technopath is basically someone who can control, alter, and interact with electronics, systems, and virtual networks with their mind.

It was not unusual for an Esper's power to resemble one of the other four main classes, such as Sorokin, who looked like a Psychic but was an Esper.

Her power didn't encompass everything over the mechanics, but that didn't make her weaker than them. Instead, although her power was only so-so for low-level mechanics who used mechanical weapons, for more advanced mechanics, she was a nightmare.

With her power, she bought several combat drones in Hell, and with that, she basically became an extremely hated camper. She used her drones to gather information and attack, as well as staying away and using her rifle to fight in hiding.

She may have finished in the top 16 individually because her strategy was already known, and she had encountered an Esper who could become invisible, including silencing sound and preventing electronic readings, assassinating her without her even noticing.

Even so, in terms of hate, she's clearly in the top 4.

Ironically, the player who eliminated her was also extremely hated.

In the end, the 3 players, Cosmic Slug, Charriot, and Sage were the cream of the crop of Hell players, they even received many invitations from clubs.

Ringo thought for a moment and sent a request to Melissa, whether it was the 3 players or the two guilds, he would let them join T6.

He would inform Eva and Hila in the meantime, they would be responsible for dealing with these guys.

Ringo didn't want to involve the players in the Universe so early because Han Xiao would find out about it immediately.

However, he no longer needs to worry about that, Han Xiao is already leaving the planet on his own.

Cosmic Slug was reading the Throne of Gods contract, the excitement evident in his eyes. He would have to change his nickname to one of the gods' names, but it didn't matter much, he would receive an astronomical salary, as well as several other benefits. However, he needed to sign a contract for at least 5 years (in 'real world' time). He was a little apprehensive about it, but going from an unknown player to one of the best guilds in Aquamarine...

Besides, he could participate in the Groups tournament that way! He would become even more famous, which excited him a lot.

It was really worth practicing PvP for so long. When he started the game, he thought the skill was weak, it was only when he used it to 'play pranks' on other players that he realized its usefulness.

Eventually, he grew quite fond of his 'Tar', mainly for 'collecting tolls', he basically set traps in the forests, and if the players fell into them, he charged them to get them out.

He made a lot of money that way, but he was also persecuted for a while by various players and guilds because of it. This led him to call his friends, and in the end, it turned into a 'small' large-scale battle.

If it weren't for the intervention of Hell's officers, it would have turned into a full-scale war.

Cosmic Slug became famous for this, although it would be more accurate to say he became infamous. He entered the individual tournaments for fun, but the further he progressed, the more fun he had. He didn't even care about winning or losing, just seeing his enemies covered in tar while cursing him...

That makes him incredibly excited!

However, while Cosmic Slug was struggling to accept the invitation, wondering whether he should choose between the less lucrative but less restrictive options, he received a message on his communicator.

[Dear Cosmic Slug, we are pleased to announce that you have received specific rewards for placing in the top 16 while representing Hell in the Inhuman tournament. This includes a series of rewards such as cash, entitlements to internal professional assignments, and exclusive equipment. Furthermore, you have also been given the opportunity to go even further. Three days later, at 2 PM, please report to Terminal 23 of Hell's General Office in Death Scream Sanctuary. Failure to appear will result in forfeiture of the prizes.]

Cosmic Slug looked at the notice in surprise, but the next moment, an excited smile grew on his face.

-Fuck Yeah! - He shouted excitedly.
