Pohang local police station :
Woah, isn't he cute , babies seriously look more cuter while they are sleeping! one of the policeman uttered out of excitement.
The whole atmosphere of the police station had taken a total 360 degree turn with the sudden appearance of a baby in their station.
The station was not too big and only consisted of four members, the three juniors who had joined the police service very recently and their senior who were in his 40 s.
The three youngsters had gathered in the place and were continuously staring at the baby, who was sleeping very peacefully . It ws a very rare sight to see such an innocent life in a place where notorious criminals were punished.
" Hey chief what is this baby doing here, I didn't thought that you would hide from us the fact that you were married? " one of the young policeman asked to the senior who was sipping his coffe seated on his old table.
Cough! Cough! The senior started coughing violently due to the question " Shut up ! Why don't you use your brain , I am not married and that kid is not mine! and if it was my kid why would it be drenched in blood a few hours back.
"Oh yes one of the officer exclaimed, so chief will you tell us this kids story or should we start calling you his grandfather" , (pufft) ha ha ha ha!!!... ,they all laughed.Oh that was a good one the other officer cried.
" Huff " The chief sighed who was clearly irriritated by his two immature juniors. "Ok so listen now" The chief explained the whole incident to the officers.
"And so after the whole case was resolved Mr Carter the special officer from ZAF handed this kid to me and told me to hand him over to the nearest orphanage "
" Wow what a gripping and unreal story it is like a scene of an action novel , so this kids name is Erebus right. " One of the officers exclaimed constantly staring at Ace.
"Well he is sleeping very peacefully even after all that happened , he will surely be a brave person " Another Junior officer exclaimed while examining the baby .
" Today evening we have to hand him over to the orphanage we don't have time to play with him we have important work "
"But chief we also want to play with the baby so please let's take him tomorrow "
Uh! Ah! The baby made some noise while moving and as soon as he moved an inch the two juniors quickly ran towards the baby to see his cute moments.
" These two are themselves kids and they want to take care of another kid , surely no ! I would get rid of this kid till evening " The chief said it to himself.
After half an hour :
"Chief we both are going to have lunch so you are in charge of the baby will you be able to handle him? "
"What do you think of me if you both can do this job then don't forget that i am your senior I can do it way better than you, go and have your lunch "the chief proudly announced
"Well ok then ! " Both of them left the station,
" Ok now all these cases have been solved so now I think we have to work in the money laundering case so where are the papers of tge case " The chief was talking to himself "
"Uaagh uaagh! " Suddenly there was loud sound of crying in the station as the chief heard the sound the chief finally realised about the baby.
"Oh how could I forget about the baby! The chief ran towards the the evidence room where the baby was kept .
As he entered the room he quickly went to the baby craddle and and saw the baby , he lifts the crying baby and tries to console it by carrying him around the station. " Don't cry don't cry uncle is here ! " He gives the baby some of the toys kept in the room and finally the baby stops crying.
The chief keeps the baby in his lap and again starts working with the files but after some time he leaves his work and sees the baby again who was staring at him " Well the two idiots surely said the right thing you are surely very cute, aren't you? The chief tickles the baby's stomach making the baby laugh.
" Oh you like the tickles little boy so how about you travel in an aeroplane", the chief holds the baby in his arms and poses the baby like superman and roams with him.
The baby laughs with joy as the chief plays with him, the chief after two three rounds completely exhausts and lands in his chair " Wow that was good ride dear, it is surely fun to play with little kids like you my boy " The baby continuously laughing at the chief.
Hoof ( yawn) the baby yawns at the lap of the chief " Do you want to sleep should I sing you a lullaby, do you want me to sing ha! the chief asks tickling the baby once again
Hahahahaha! The chief was totally shocked by the sudden laugh and the opening of the door, the two officers Kevin and Judice had arrived from their break and had been listening to their strict chiefs conversation with the child.
" Wow I didn't thought that you were this soft with children chief ! ,a while ago you were telling us to be serious about the job and ignore the baby and now you were going to sing a lullaby to the baby "
"Hey Judias did you saw the chief tickling the baby and playing aeroplane with him Hahahahaha!"
The chief was trying to suppress his anger , but now he had no patience left.
Chief placed the baby at the chair and went towards them and game them a nice smack on each one of their head, after which both of them stopped making fun of their senior . The rest of the day passed normally, the three of the officers all played equally with the baby and now it was the time for departure .
An officer had arrived at their station to take the baby before giving the baby away each of them said their goodbyes to the baby and the chief had a special message to the baby " Hey kid, the beginning of your story was not too good but that does not mean the end would be the same! Stay healthy and become a good person ! saying these last words he handed the baby to the other officer.
