Still the forest; the Johto region had an abundance of them. Meganium, being a Grass-type Pokémon, was quite happy, singing with Mei all the way, looking very cheerful. But suddenly, dark clouds gathered above the forest, and then a torrential rain poured down.
Ash looked at the overcast sky, frowning. "What's going on? It was bright and sunny just a moment ago!" Misty complained along the way as the group found a large tree with a dense canopy to temporarily shelter from the rain.
Mei, however, was somewhat shielded by Meganium's large leaf, so she didn't get wet. Ash quickly took out her small raincoat and put it on her; it wouldn't be good if the little girl caught a cold. Among Ash's group, only Mei had the most complete gear.

Little remained of that tower, and it is now called Burned Tower, or Brass Tower. In that fire, three unknown Pokémon were unable to escape and burned to death. Fortunately, Ho-Oh descended from the sky and revived them. This was the birth of the three Legendary Beasts: Suicune, Entei, and Raikou!
