200 Million Volt: Amaru (Thunder God).
Enel unleashed every single volt of electrical energy within his body, transforming himself into a colossal, crackling giant of pure, destructive lightning. It was, without a doubt, his absolute most desperate, all-or-nothing ultimate attack.
Seeing the terrifying transformation, Bardock didn't panic; in fact, he was secretly thrilled.
When it came to sheer, unadulterated movement speed, the Glint-Glint Fruit (Kizaru) and the Rumble-Rumble Fruit (Enel) were fundamentally unmatched across the globe. If Enel had decided to swallow his pride, turn into a lightning bolt, and simply run away, Bardock would have never been able to catch him. But by transforming into the massive Amaru form, Enel was committing to a stationary, head-on clash of raw power. He was risking it all.
"Monkey King: Maximized!"
Bardock instantly activated his Mythical Zoan transformation. Channeling the innate Size Manipulation ability of the Sun Wukong fruit, his simian body rapidly expanded. In the blink of an eye, he grew into a colossal, golden-furred Great Ape, towering even higher and wider than the crackling Thunder God before him.
He was going to crush Enel head-on.
"On... Only a God can harm a God! He really is a God too!" "God above...!" "..."
The 53 Divine Enforcers completely abandoned any lingering thoughts of resistance. They uniformly dropped to their knees, pressing their faces into the dirt and praying frantically. Their loyalty to Enel had never been born of love; it was entirely based on absolute terror of his power and the deep-rooted Skypiean cultural submission to whoever held the title of 'God'. Now that a visibly larger, infinitely more terrifying God had appeared and was actively beating the old one, all they had to do was wait for the victor to emerge and pledge their undying loyalty to him.
"Lord Ape God! Please destroy the evil God!" "Please defeat Enel! Save us, true God!" "Die, Enel! Just die!" "..."
Seeing Enel visibly backed into a corner, the civilian population of Birka finally found their courage. They began screaming prayers and curses into the sky. They were absolutely, soul-crushingly terrified of Enel.
What Enel had been doing in Birka over the past few years was significantly more tyrannical and horrific than what he eventually did in the canonical timeline on Angel Island. The moment any Birkan citizen even whispered a complaint or committed the slightest infraction, they were instantly vaporized by a column of divine lightning from the sky.
In his Amaru form, Enel's Mantra was amplified by his electromagnetic field, allowing him to clearly hear every single curse and prayer across the entire island.
His fury instantly skyrocketed into blinding, apocalyptic rage. These pathetic mortals! Not only had they bullied him mercilessly when he was a weak, wingless child, but now they were actively praying for a filthy Blue Sea dweller to murder him?! They were a disgusting stain on the Endless Vearth! They all deserved to die! Those cowardly, kneeling Enforcers deserved to die too!
"200 MILLION VOLT: AMARU... DISCHARGE!"
In his Thunder God state, releasing a point-blank, omnidirectional discharge possessed genuinely apocalyptic, island-shattering destructive power.
Seeing the blinding, rapidly expanding sphere of hyper-charged lightning, Bardock didn't dare hold back. He channeled every ounce of his Armament Haki into his right index finger, coating the massive digit in an impossibly dense layer of invisible, black armor.
"Hasshoken Secret Art: Shigan (Finger Pistol)... ONE FINGER MOUNTAIN!"
It was a terrifying, hybrid technique combining the armor-piercing lethality of the Navy's Shigan with the internal-destruction shockwaves of Kano's Hasshoken. Even in his base human form, Bardock's application of this technique possessed the exact same catastrophic destructive power as Don Chinjao's legendary Drill Dragon Nail.
Executing it for the first time while transformed into a colossal, strength-amplified Great Ape... even Bardock himself didn't know exactly how utterly devastating it would be.
The colossal, Haki-coated finger pierced straight into the blinding sphere of 200 Million Volts, tearing through the electrical discharge like a hot knife through butter. It didn't stop there; the finger plowed directly into the chest of the Thunder God.
Enel was completely powerless to resist.
The colossal finger forcefully pushed the lightning giant backward, grinding his feet into the cloud street. When Bardock finally fully extended his arm, the concentrated Hasshoken shockwave detonated directly inside Enel's chest.
The Thunder God form instantly shattered. Enel's physical body was violently launched through the air like a cannonball, skipping across the dense Island Cloud of Birka before violently crashing into a massive plaza.
KRACK-A-THOOOOM!
The sheer kinetic shockwave transferred from Bardock's finger, through Enel's body, and directly into the geological foundation of the island.
With a deafening, groaning tear... the entire sky island of Birka split directly down the middle. A massive, jagged chasm tore through the city, exposing the 10,000-meter drop into the White-White Sea below.
"Ahhhh! Help!" "Grab my hand! I'm slipping!" "Someone save me! I can't fly!" "..."
Absolute chaos erupted across the crumbling city as several Birkans fell into the rapidly widening chasm.
"Flying Nimbus!" Bardock shouted, instantly shrinking back down to his base human form.
He telepathically commanded the golden cloud to massively expand and dive into the chasm, safely catching every single falling Birkan citizen—as well as the unconscious, battered body of Enel—before they could plummet into the sea.
Despite his pathetic display against Haki, Enel's baseline physical endurance and stamina were genuinely quite terrifying. In the original timeline, he had survived a point-blank Reject Dial to the chest and tanked numerous full-power attacks from Luffy, yet he still remained conscious enough to pilot his Ark Maxim all the way to the moon. Surviving a single, albeit catastrophic, strike from Bardock wasn't impossible for him.
"Cien Fleur: Spider Net!"
Robin stepped up to the edge of the chasm and activated her Devil Fruit. Hundreds of arms sprouted from the sides of the floating Nimbus, aggressively grabbing the terrified Birkans and hauling them back up onto solid cloud.
"Lord God!"
The 53 Divine Enforcers scrambled over to Bardock and immediately slammed their foreheads into the ground in perfect synchronization.
This was the absolute, unquestionable law of Sky Island: whoever defeated the God immediately became the new God. It was just that a Blue Sea dweller had never actually accomplished the feat before. It was their first time worshipping a wingless mortal, but considering Bardock had just physically split their entire island in half with a single finger... they weren't going to argue semantics!
If it had been Gan Fall who defeated Enel, the Enforcers might have hesitated, as the old knight possessed his own loyal Divine Guards. But Enel ruled purely through terror; the moment he fell, his troops instantly defected to the stronger predator.
"Get up. Go help the civilians out of the rubble, clear the collapsed buildings, and use your cloud-crafting tech to stitch the island back together," Bardock ordered casually, fully embracing his new administrative authority. Free labor was free labor.
Looking at the massive, catastrophic fissure he had just carved through the center of Birka, Bardock didn't feel an ounce of guilt. Considering Enel was destined to literally erase the entire island from existence in a few years, splitting it in half was honestly a massive net positive for the locals!
A short while later, Bardock and his crew casually strolled into Enel's massive, luxurious Divine Shrine.
Enel had lost. By the laws of the sky, absolutely everything he owned now legally belonged to Bardock.
Because the invasion had been so sudden, Enel hadn't bothered to hide or secure any of his treasures. With his Mantra blanketing the entire island 24/7, he had never feared thieves.
Truthfully, aside from a massive stockpile of incredibly rare, extinct combat Dials, there wasn't much in the vault that genuinely interested Bardock.
Except for one single item.
When Bardock found it resting on a pedestal in the main study, his eyes lit up. This single item made the entire trip to Birka a massive, undeniable success: the original blueprints for the flying warship, the Ark Maxim.
He already had a master plan forming. These blueprints would be absolutely perfect for retrofitting and upgrading the White Dragon.
But before he could start construction, he needed a very specific, high-voltage battery to power it. He needed a new employee.
"Mansherry, go ahead and heal the four Priests," Bardock ordered, gesturing to the unconscious men piled in the corner.
Ohm and Satori were the most severely injured, but under the miraculous healing properties of Mansherry's Dandelion fluff, all four Priests were completely healed within minutes. They sat up, exchanging incredibly awkward, humiliating glances. Enel, their invincible God, had been completely crushed. Were they supposed to just surrender and join this terrifying pirate crew now?
As Mansherry's healing spores washed over Enel, his eyes snapped open. Panicking, his body instinctively dissolved into lightning, and he teleported to the far corner of the shrine, his memory still frozen on the terrifying image of that colossal, black finger crushing his chest.
"How are you feeling, Enel?" Bardock chuckled, entirely unfazed by the sudden movement. "Ready for round two?"
Enel scanned the room, his eyes instantly locking onto Bardock's hands. His face turned purple with absolute, unfiltered rage, and literal steam hissed from his ears. Bardock was casually holding his most prized possession.
"Be careful with those!" Enel hissed through gritted teeth, terrified of angering the man. "Those blueprints are an ancient, irreplaceable relic! If you tear them, there are no other copies in existence!"
The Ark Maxim was his only ticket to the Endless Vearth (the Moon). Those blueprints were his absolute lifeline.
He was kicking himself internally. If he had known this absolute monster was going to invade his shrine today, he would have made multiple copies or spent the last three years memorizing every single line of the schematics! He had been far too arrogant!
"These are my spoils of war," Bardock said casually, shaking the delicate paper blueprints. "I can do whatever the hell I want with them. I could use them to wipe my—"
"YOU—!" Enel surged forward, his body crackling with electricity, but he forced himself to stop, violently suppressing his rage. "Just... spit it out. What are your demands? Stop playing these pathetic psychological games."
"Very perceptive," Bardock smirked, casually rolling up the blueprints. "According to the rules of the sky, I defeated you. I am the new God of Birka. Absolutely everything in this shrine, including your life, now belongs to me."
Bardock paused for dramatic effect. "However, my demands are incredibly simple. You are going to join my crew. You will become our newest nakama."
"WHAT?!" Enel roared, his pride instantly flaring up. "You, a filthy Blue Sea mortal, want ME to become your subordinate?! I am lightning incarnate! I am a true God!"
Even completely humiliated and defeated, his towering ego simply refused to break. The idea of bowing to Bardock made him physically sick.
"I strongly suggest you reconsider," Bardock sighed, casually tapping the blueprints against his open palm. "If you join my crew and do exactly what I tell you... I will eventually give these blueprints back to you. Your ultimate dream is to reach the Endless Vearth, right? Stick with me, and when the time is right, my crew will personally escort you there. It's an incredibly generous deal. Do you understand?"
You shameless, extortionist thief! You're literally blackmailing me with my own property!
Enel gritted his teeth so hard he almost cracked a molar. But what choice did he have? The man had completely monopolized his only lifeline to his dream. And if he fought back, that terrifying black finger would likely crush him into a bloody paste.
With absolute, soul-crushing reluctance, Enel slowly nodded his head, fighting back tears of sheer humiliation as he was officially conscripted into Bardock's pirate crew.
