Chapter 312 – Kaguya's Past
The Expanding Truth-Seeking Ball—Kaguya's ultimate technique, a power said to be capable of erasing the entire Shinobi World—was swallowed whole by Hatake Yusuke.
And he did it so lightly, as if it took no effort at all.
"Still want to keep going?" Yusuke asked as he looked at Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
Kaguya's gaze was filled with tangled emotions. This man was far too strong. Just as she was about to gather her chakra again, a terrifying aura suddenly burst out from Yusuke's body.
"Woman, don't test my patience," Yusuke said coldly. "I don't have time to keep playing around. I'll show you… my true power."
His hair grew paler and paler, until it turned completely white. The black clothes on his body transformed into white robes decorated with tomoe patterns. Unlike Madara's attire, Yusuke's robe resembled Minato's Hokage cloak. A horn-like crest formed on his forehead, and mysterious markings began spreading across his body.
At the same time, numerous dark blue Truth-Seeking Orbs appeared behind him.
Yusuke's eyes sharpened. One of them instantly transformed into a Tenseigan. Golden chakra wrapped around his entire body, and even more Truth-Seeking Orbs formed.
The orbs began to merge, two by two, until they finally fused into a single, massive Truth-Seeking Orb.
"Tenseigan Chakra Mode," Yusuke said with a faint smile.
Seeing this, Kaguya was completely drowned in despair.
Even when Yusuke had entered Six Paths Mode, she had already been no match for him. And now, on top of that, he had activated Tenseigan Mode—something even stronger than what her son, Ōtsutsuki Hamura, had once possessed.
And the most terrifying part of all—
This still wasn't Yusuke's full power.
"There's… a Kāma on your body?" Kaguya said in shock. That mark was far too familiar to her. It was a technique used by members of the main Ōtsutsuki family.
"You mean this thing?" Yusuke replied casually. "It was left behind by a piece of trash named Ōtsutsuki Urashiki… after I killed him."
As he spoke, Yusuke touched the black mark on his body.
Moments later, a soul appeared in his hand.
"Ōtsutsuki… Urashiki?" Kaguya gasped when she saw it.
In spirit form, Urashiki was completely shattered, barely holding a shape at all. It was obvious he had been tortured beyond imagination. What shocked Kaguya the most was that the arrogant, prideful Urashiki could end up in such a pitiful state.
"Ka… Kaguya? Is that you?" Urashiki turned toward her.
Hatred filled his face.
If it weren't for this traitor, he would never have come to Earth. He would never have suffered like this. But even he knew that Kaguya, now a Ten-Tails Jinchūriki who had absorbed the chakra of the entire Shinobi World, was no opponent he could face.
"Hurry… save me!" Urashiki screamed in panic. "I know a way for the Ōtsutsuki Clan to forgive your betrayal!"
Right now, the only thing he wanted was to survive.
He had originally planned to use Kāma to seize this powerful body. He never expected to be detected the moment he entered—then completely controlled by Yusuke using the power of the Soul-Soul Fruit.
"You've got some nerve," Yusuke said with a smile as he slowly tightened his grip.
"Don't kill me!" Urashiki screamed in terror.
"If you kill a member of the main family, they'll feel it immediately! When that happens, even he will step in!" Urashiki shouted desperately.
"You think I care about that kind of trash?" Yusuke replied in a contemptuous tone.
With a single squeeze, he completely crushed Urashiki's soul.
Watching this, Kaguya's face was filled with horror.
How could she not recognize Urashiki?
He was one of the strongest beings in the entire Ōtsutsuki Clan—someone who could truly be called a god.
"You've killed him. It won't be long before the Ōtsutsuki Clan descends on this world. When that happens, you and I will both die," Kaguya said.
"So what?" Yusuke replied indifferently. "If that trash comes, I'll just kill them too."
He naturally knew about that existence. He had long since read through all of Urashiki's memories. He knew how powerful that being was.
And yet, he didn't feel the slightest fear.
In his eyes, he was the strongest.
Even if the entire Ōtsutsuki Clan came at once, he wouldn't spare them a glance. Besides, not every member of that clan was a true fighter.
"Do you still want to fight, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya?" Yusuke asked.
"I know…" Kaguya said quietly. "But I have no choice. I don't want to be sealed again. An immortal life filled with nothing but fear… I'd rather die."
"You all… why have you never tried to understand Mother?" Black Zetsu finally revealed himself.
Whether it was because of his own will, or because he felt Kaguya's suffering, Black Zetsu had become highly emotional.
"Back then, when Mother descended to this world, she wanted to protect humanity. For that, she turned against her own companions. The humans who once worshiped her as a god betrayed her instead. They feared her power," Black Zetsu said angrily.
"They wanted to kill Mother for their own benefit. But they didn't know that the Ōtsutsuki Clan had already set their sights on this planet. Even if Mother hadn't acted, they would have come anyway. To fight them, Mother created the Infinite Tsukuyomi and used genjutsu to seal the planet, so it wouldn't be detected by the Ōtsutsuki Clan!"
The longer he spoke, the more Black Zetsu's emotions exploded.
"But Hamura and Hagoromo misunderstood Mother's intentions. They sealed her away and called themselves heroes. They even believed they had saved the world!"
"In reality, this planet had already been detected long ago. Their arrival was only a matter of time. The reason Mother sealed part of humanity into the Divine Tree was to fight that wounded companion."
"You're talking about Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, right?" Yusuke asked calmly.
"You know?"
"Don't dress your words up so nicely," Yusuke said flatly. "In the end, it's just because you were too weak."
He paused, then continued.
"But I don't intend to seal you. And I don't intend to kill you either. What I want is a fight that can actually entertain me. You should be able to separate your own will, shouldn't you? Besides, when you ate the Divine Tree's fruit, your body still retained the Ten-Tails within it."
"Y-You… you really won't kill me?" Kaguya stared at him in disbelief. Even Black Zetsu hesitated.
"You're far too naive," Yusuke replied expressionlessly. "With my power, I could kill you whenever I want. Why would I need to lie to you?"
"Besides," he added, looking at her as if she were foolish, "erasing your will completely would be even easier than stripping away Uchiha Madara's consciousness."
"I want you to agree to one request of mine," Kaguya said.
"Oh?" Yusuke raised an eyebrow. "Let's hear it."
"Protect me," Kaguya said quietly. "The Ōtsutsuki Clan won't let me go."
"That's a small matter," Yusuke replied. "Come back to Konoha with me."
"…Very well," Kaguya said after a moment. "Then I promise to release Uchiha Madara's consciousness."
