In the Coiling Dragon Universe, Sadius suddenly sensed something. It was Hongmeng sending him a divine transmission.
Orloff actually intended to shatter a newly-born subsidiary universe—to see what lay beyond the universe itself.
That lunatic!
Without hesitation, Sadius mobilized all the surrounding Aether origin energy and began to compress the Fate origin energy within the Coiling Dragon Universe.
Orloff's form materialized—but no avatar of his could exist in this universe any longer.
"Orloff, you actually dare to think of shattering an entire universe? I never should've let you become an Overgod!"
Among the seven Overgods, aside from the final Overgod of Life, the other five had all been secretly aided by Sadius to reach their current positions.
"Haha, looks like my avatar has already succeeded in the other universe. Sadius, I should thank you…You gave me the chance to glimpse what lies beyond the cosmos."
"You won't get that chance!" Sadius immediately activated the Aether origin of the Heaven and Earth, trying to erase Orloff's consciousness.
But Orloff was still an Overgod. Though over half his Fate origin had been taken away by his avatar, as an Overgod, his strength was nearly invincible. Erasing his will would not be easy.
Orloff immediately resisted. The two Overgods clashed.
Orloff's Reincarnation Golden Body and Transcendence of Reincarnation were the two greatest ultimate techniques of the Heaven and Earth, rendering him temporarily equal in might to Sadius.
The other five Sovereigns, sensing the battle, quickly arrived on the scene.
Since the Coiling Dragon Universe and the subsidiary universes were isolated, they had no idea what had happened in the other universe.
None of them knew why Sadius and Orloff had started fighting.
"Sadius, I just want to glimpse what lies beyond the universe. Even if it means death and soul annihilation, I'm willing!"
"You're too selfish. For your personal desires, you would endanger an entire universe?"
"If the universe is destroyed, that great being can remake it. But if I die, I can't be revived. I don't care anymore!"
"Linley, Olivier, help me! Let's suppress and seal Orloff together!"
"Father, what's going on?!" Linley rushed forward without hesitation to assist Sadius.
Olivier unleashed the River of Time. The origin of Time surged to suppress Orloff.
The remaining three Overgods also acted immediately.
"Don't you all want to see what lies beyond not just one universe, but all universes?" Orloff's trump cards were powerful—but he was no match for six Overgods acting in concert.
"Ultimate Temporal-Spatial Barrier!"
"Ninefold Seal of Life and Death!"
The Overgod of Time and Space unleashed their ultimate moves. The Overgods of Life and Death did the same.
Under this dual-layered seal, Orloff could no longer resist.
"Orloff, I too wish to see the place where that great being resides beyond the universe. But I won't go insane and destroy a whole universe. Ever since I became an Overgod, I've been researching methods of transcendence. Do you think I don't want to transcend?"
Sadius desired transcendence more than anyone.
He even wanted to leave the Hongmeng Realm and return to Earth—his home in his past life. Not to give up his power, but to transcend even Hongmeng.
How could he not want to see his old home?
But the setup of the Coiling Dragon Universe was utterly absurd.
To transcend, one had to mutate their soul into the Water–Wind–Fire–Earth four-element variant and refine four Sovereign sparks of the same level. One missing element meant failure. Having more than four wasn't optimal.
After the Coiling Dragon Universe ascended to become a main universe, transcendence required a Water–Wind–Fire–Earth–Aether five-element soul mutation and five sparks.
But in the Coiling Dragon Universe, achieving a five-element soul mutation was nearly impossible.
In the original work, only Linley had a four-element soul mutation.
After Sadius reincarnated, he managed—with great difficulty—to attain a four-element soul mutation. But not the Water–Wind–Fire–Earth combo.
Of course, as an Overgod now, Sadius' body contained only Aether origin.
"I've waited over a thousand grand kalpas. Do you know how long that is? Nearly ninety sextillion years! If I wait any longer, I'll go insane!" Orloff cried out hysterically.
Many present had existed since the dawn of creation—they understood Orloff's feelings.
"You don't want true transcendence? I've found a lead!"
Yes—Sadius had discovered a new path to transcendence. But it still needed refinement, and there was no guarantee of success.
Transcendence!
Orloff's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Can you tell me how to transcend?" Orloff asked.
"According to the original rules of our universe, we need a Water–Wind–Fire–Earth–Aether five-element soul mutation and must refine five Sovereign sparks. But since our universe is a main universe, the cultivation system is all-encompassing. Even if we lack the classic five-element mutation, we can still gain similar soul enhancements from other systems. As long as the five fundamental energies—Water, Wind, Fire, Earth, and Aether—are gathered across cultivation systems, transcendence is possible."
Only Ignis grasped the implications.
"Sadius, you mean to integrate Dao Bodies?"
"Not just that. The subsidiary universes should also have special beings with unique mutations and fusion Dao Bodies. If we can cultivate the systems of all four subsidiary universes and achieve major accomplishments—even if each one only gives us a dual-element variant—we could still transcend."
Everyone was excited. Orloff felt sudden clarity.
"Sadius, is there still time to make up for my mistake? Has my avatar already destroyed the universe?"
At this point, Orloff no longer just wanted to see beyond the universe—he wanted to truly step beyond it.
"Hmph, you've lost that chance!" Sadius unleashed his most powerful method to erase Orloff's consciousness.
If Orloff's mind were erased and his avatar didn't return from the subsidiary universe, the Sovereign of Fate would revert to a soulless embodiment of universal law.
"No, Sadius, you can't!" Orloff activated his Reincarnation Golden Body.
He couldn't die yet. He hadn't glimpsed what lay beyond the universe!
But Sadius gave him no chance. He pressed on with full force to erase Orloff's consciousness.
"Aaagh! NO.."
Before long, Orloff's mind was completely extinguished. His body dissolved back into Fate origin and dispersed.
Unless his avatar returned from the subsidiary universe, Orloff would never revive in this cosmos.
"Let's hope our avatars can stop him…"
In the newly born subsidiary Magic Universe.
With Olivier's help, Linley had been training; hidden in the River of Time, trying to create a Dao Body beyond innate talent—a daunting task.
But he hadn't given up. It was the only way to defeat Orloff. Within the seal binding Orloff, Sadius also focused on developing his Dao Body.
He originally had Earth affinity. Though now he wielded Aether origin as a Sovereign, his Earth affinity hadn't disappeared.
Sadius began forming his Dao Body. The Earth Dao Body was the first to manifest.
But he wasn't in a rush to transcend with just Earth. He aimed to cultivate Water, Wind, and Fire Dao Bodies as well—to create a Fusion Dao Body.
This process was extremely difficult, and incredibly dangerous. But Sadius had no other choice—no one else could stop Orloff.
Orloff continued attacking the seal. At his current strength, it wouldn't last much longer.
Seeing this, the Overgods of Life and Death reinforced the barrier to buy time.
Time passed.
Neither Sadius nor Linley had succeeded. Orloff was about to break through the seal.
"You can't stop me!" Orloff roared, using Transcendence of Reincarnation to shatter the barrier.
He then turned on the Overgods of Life and Death—intent on killing them.
Ignis tried to stop him but was no match. Orloff, without hesitation, used Fate origin to destroy their bodies.
Since these three had been manifestations of the Coiling Dragon Universe's laws, they had no divine authority in the Magic Universe. Their avatars died instantly.
Orloff flew toward Sadius.
"Sadius, I'll kill you first—then your son and disciple. No one will stop me!"
He raised his sword to strike. Just before his blade landed, waves of universal law pulsed around Sadius.
He slowly opened his eyes. Then, he manifested an Overgod Sword and blocked Orloff's blow.
"You—!" Orloff stared in disbelief.
"I was lucky enough to create a four-fold Fusion Dao Body."
"So what? You still don't have the Immortal King Throne. How can you transcend?"
"Oh?" Sadius smiled faintly.
"Linley, you succeeded too, didn't you?"
Just then, Linley and Olivier stepped through the void from the River of Time.
"Father, I succeeded."
"Good. Let's fight together, father and son!"
Though neither had yet transcended, both now possessed the potential. Their power had grown so dramatically that even Orloff might not match them together.
They attacked in Euniceon. Orloff used his full power—but to no avail. Together, they unleashed a move to strip origin.
Fate origin flowed out of Orloff's body until only his consciousness remained.
"Orloff, I've already learned from that great being—your main body's mind has been erased. If your avatar's consciousness is destroyed too, you'll be completely annihilated!"
Orloff didn't care.
"Haha! So what if I die? It's just…I never got to see what lies beyond the universe."
Sadius shook his head. Orloff's obsession ran too deep.
"This was your choice."
Sadius raised his hand and erased Orloff's consciousness. Thus, the first Overgod to ever fall was born. After dealing with Orloff, Sadius led the group out of the subsidiary universe.
He no longer dared venture into subsidiary realms with others. Who knew if another lunatic like Orloff might appear?
Once back in the Coiling Dragon Universe, Sadius' main body and avatar instantly reconnected. His true body was overjoyed. He had successfully formed a Water–Wind–Fire–Earth four-fold Fusion Dao Body.
Combined with Aether origin…He could now transcend.
Of course, he still had to await the descent of an Immortal King Throne from the main universe. Without hesitation, Sadius and Linley spread the cultivation system of Immortality.
Years passed.
Then tens of thousands of years.
Cultivators of the Immortal Path multiplied in the Coiling Dragon Universe.
But the Immortal King Thrones had yet to descend.
Until one day…Seventy-five rays of light suddenly appeared.
Everyone knew—the Immortal King Thrones had arrived. Sadius didn't hesitate. He selected four that matched his attributes.
Linley chose an Aether Immortal King Throne. Unlike Sovereign sparks, Immortal King Thrones had no rank. Among Immortal Kings, strength alone defined status. As an Overgod, Sadius was naturally the strongest.
In an instant, he refined all four Immortal King Thrones. The powers of the four Immortal Kings fused with his Aether origin.
At first, there was conflict. But after suppressing the Aether origin slightly, balance was achieved.
His Aether origin's essence level was too high, but as an Overgod he had complete control over it, so suppressing it to form balance was easy.
A strange new energy emerged—misty gray with hints of golden divinity.
This strange energy spread through Sadius' body, merging soul and flesh. He began a complete metamorphosis. Before long, he would possess a Hongmeng Body.
At the same time, Linley refined his own Aether Immortal King Seat. His soul origin, previously transformed into Space origin, now reverted to Water–Wind–Fire–Earth.
Then, those four and Aether blended together. Linley's body was also transformed.
At this point, neither Linley nor Sadius were Overgods anymore. They had transcended—though they had not yet stepped beyond the cosmos.
In that moment, all laws and mechanisms of the universe were intimately familiar to them.
"Father, let's go. Big Brother has waited long enough," Linley said.
Naturally, "Big Brother" didn't refer to Luoshen—but to Hongmeng.
"Mm. Let's send a message so they won't worry."
The two sent divine transmissions.
Soon, father and son gathered together.
"Let's go. I have many questions."
Sadius pulled out the sword he'd once confiscated from Linley.
"Now you understand the sword's power?"
Back then, Hongmeng had secretly infused a wisp of Hongmeng Aura into the sword as a life-saving measure for Linley. Now, as Linley held it again, he could tell—the energy in the sword was the same as what filled his own body.
Or rather, his own energy was even more advanced.
"Go ahead and open the universe."
Linley nodded. Gripping the sword, he drew a massive circle. A black void opened. All matter and energy vanished within.
"Let's go."
The two stepped through. Outside the void, a middle-aged man in plain robes with a disheveled appearance stood before them.
"Haha! I never imagined the two of you would transcend together. Looks like we'll each walk our own paths now…Second Brother, Third Brother."
THE END.
