Chapter 59: Huiyi's Punishment Time~
Huiyi's meticulously planned celebration was ruined by Kitahara's sudden summons. On the way back to the academy, she wracked her brain but couldn't think of anything she had done wrong in front of him.
The only thing she could think of was perhaps her habit of gaming until the early morning and then going to class and training after only two or three hours of sleep. But she had plenty of energy, right? Normally, Kitahara shouldn't be able to tell she'd only slept for a few hours.
Deep Impact sat next to Huiyi, her gaze falling on Huiyi's occasionally furrowed brow. It was already strange that Huiyi had suddenly changed her plans after taking that call, and now, seeing an expression that rarely appeared on her face, Deep Impact grew even more curious about what that call was about.
During a red light, Deep Impact finally asked, "Huiyi, who was that on the phone just now? You've been on edge ever since you took the call..."
Huiyi turned her head, her expression serious. "It was Kitahara! He suddenly called me back. Although he said an American horse girl wanted to see me... I just feel like if it were only that, it wouldn't be so urgent. There must be something else!"
"But the problem now is that I can't think of anything I've done in front of Kitahara that would warrant a punishment!"

All she could do now was pray that it was nothing serious.
The bus stopped at the Tracen Academy station. Huiyi got off first, while Deep Impact slowly led Crown and the other two towards the training room. Along the way, the three little horse girls asked all sorts of questions, some of which, like why Tracen Academy had so many urban legends, left even Deep Impact speechless.
After all, maybe those things really did exist...
Huiyi jogged to the training room and pushed the door open, saying meekly, "I'm back. Kitahara, what was so urgent that you needed me for...?"
"Yo? You're back?" Kitahara put down his teacup, a kind and warm smile on his face.
Gulp. Although it was a smile meant to bring warmth, at this moment, it sent a piercing winter chill through Huiyi's heart. She nodded like a pecking chicken, gently closed the door, and sat obediently on a stool.
Kitahara spoke as usual, "I didn't call you back for anything major. Just don't stay up so late anymore."

Most trainers had to deal with their horse girls' lack of sleep at some point.
