"Huh?" Ye Ming asked.
Hearing his words, Raiden Mei froze for a second before immediately turning around, grabbing her makeup box from a corner, and checking her reflection.
"Are your legs injured, too?" Ye Ming asked, watching her with some confusion.
"Miss Raiden, have you been wearing makeup more often lately?" she asked. "I remember when we first met, you didn't seem to have any interest in it."
"It's because a certain someone's daughter is very beautiful, and a certain someone else got greedy after hearing about it," she teased with a smile. "Of course, maybe it's just a sense of crisis. I only became interested in makeup after a sudden shock. Miss Raiden, the things I'm saying..."
"Nonsense!" Ye Ming interjected.
As they spoke, Raiden Mei's face had already turned beet red. She quickly finished checking her makeup, snapped the box shut, and turned her head stiffly, looking like she wanted to be angry but couldn't manage it.
Just then, a clear and crisp laugh echoed as Mobius jumped out from the side.
"Big sister! Miss Raiden! What are you two doing?" she chirped, walking out from the base. "Little Mianbei came crying to me and said she was being bullied! I'm here to get revenge for her! Big sis, help me!" she begged loudly.
"What? This is bullying? Miss Raiden, you've gone too far!" Raiden Mei exclaimed in mock surprise. She grabbed her sister's wrist with one hand, her expression stunned.
"Miss Raiden, are you an oven? Why are you holding my hand? To stop your sister from causing trouble? My legs are getting sore!" Mobius complained, then turned her attention to Ye Ming.
"And you, Ye Ming! You're really something else! Your old lady is bullying my big sister, and you're just going to stand there and watch? Are you just here to eat? Are you not a man? Aren't you going to come help?!"
"Huh?!" Ye Ming was completely stunned by his own sister's reaction.
"Who's whose old lady? Mobius, don't talk nonsense!"
Hearing her words, Raiden Mei's face turned an even deeper shade of red. She couldn't bring herself to look at Ye Ming, and just stood there stiffly for a moment before turning to leave. "I'm going with Raiden Mei," she mumbled. "I still have my freedom."
"Big sis, I know you were in the right today, but whose side are you on?!" Mobius called after her.
(The scene shifts to the livestream commentary.)
Sparkle: "Ah! The life of Ye Ming!"
Acheron: "Kekeke... I suddenly understand why I keep watching this livestream, even though it's so heartbreaking. The warmth in the background of all this tragedy makes it all the more precious, memorable, and comforting."
