Chapter 6 - chapter 5

Lima POV

I was completely lost in his eyes until Becca's voice snapped me back to reality.

"Lima! Zone in," she teased, a hint of mockery in her voice.

"Yeah... sorry," I mumbled, as if I'd been caught doing something embarrassing. I quickly stepped away from the blue-eyed stranger and brushed imaginary dust off my clothes.

The smirk never left his lips. He looked at me with quiet amusement before bending down to pick up my suitcase. He held it out to me, but I barely noticed.

My attention was fixed on the way his Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed.

Holy moly... who created this god of a man?

"Bryan," he said, releasing the handle once I took it.

"Lima," I replied softly.

"Gonna see you later."

With one last smile, he turned and disappeared into the crowd.

"Sooooo..." Mum dragged out the word with a dramatic grin. "I think this is exactly how I met your dad."

She laughed and hurried into the hotel.

I followed behind, but an uneasy feeling crept over me. It felt like someone was watching me.

A piercing gaze lingered on my back.

I turned around immediately, scanning the area.

No one.

"Looks like someone's living in a fairytale," Becca teased with a knowing grin.

"quit yapping and help me unpack. We've got a forest to explore."

She rolled her eyes before following me inside.

Lycan POV

Everything felt different this year.

New faces.

New students.

New opportunities.

Looks like a lot of guys are going to be chasing girls this year, I thought with a quiet chuckle.

My amusement vanished the moment I noticed the spark between Lima and Bryan.

Bryan.

My childhood friend.

Before we became enemies.

I hated that bastard with every fiber of my being, and I wasn't about to let him anywhere near my sister.

I knew that look in his eyes.

The moment Bryan looked at a girl like that, it meant he wanted her.

Maybe Lima felt the same way.

Maybe she didn't.

Either way, I wasn't giving him the chance to break her heart.

Still...

One thought made me smirk.

Lima still hadn't gotten over John Maya cause I caught her crying the other night in the kitchen over his broken mug .

Could this become a love triangle?

Now that would be interesting...

Unless she'd already moved on.

I tapped Logan, who was sitting in the front seat.

"C'mon."

We climbed off the bus, walked through the hotel's reception, collected our room keys, and headed for our assigned room.
