Chapter 356 - Chapter 356 Discussion Among Group Members

"Based on the clues you've gathered, I think it's a Greater Daemon of Khorne," Alex said in the club, his hands clasped under his chin. After listening to the consolidated clues from 32, Gutierrez, Mai Mai, and Twilight's investigations, he still stuck to his original judgment.

He scanned everyone's faces, seemingly observing their reactions.

The others actually agreed with this assessment.

32 nodded silently, his fingers unconsciously stroking the cat; Mai Mai flipped through her investigation notes, drawing a thick line under the words "blood sacrifice ritual," her pen making a soft rustling sound on the paper.

Only Gutierrez spoke with some concern, "We also know that it should be a Greater Daemon of Khorne behind this, after all, the two Daemon Princes that The Unseen Brotherhood pointed to are from Khorne's faction, and the Greater Daemon of Khorne summoned by the Blood Oath Society earlier was also from Khorne."

He spoke with his hands crossed, looking somewhat anxious.

"The way the skulls are piled at the blood sacrifice sites, and the method by which the victims were torn apart, are all too characteristic of Khorne." Gutierrez paused, his brows furrowed. "But who can guarantee that there isn't a shadow of Tzeentch behind this? If it really is Tzeentch causing trouble, anything is possible, right?"

This is the characteristic of the Warhammer World; no matter what happens, it's always right to blame Tzeentch for bad things first.

Twilight couldn't help but laugh when she heard this, then quickly covered her mouth, afraid of interrupting Gutierrez's train of thought.

Alex merely shrugged, then said, "If you deliberately presuppose the existence of a Tzeentch Daemon, then all clues will point to that result. Just like I am now prejudiced into believing it must be a Greater Daemon of Khorne."

His tone was calm, but his eyes revealed a thoughtful expression.

At this point, Alex looked around and saw a few other group members chatting about something nearby, so an idea came to him.

"This kind of judgment can easily lead to problems," Alex said, looking at his friends in front of him. "But from the current situation, what we're saying isn't wrong. Why don't we find someone who's not in the know to judge? Listen to other people's opinions?"

Alex's suggestion intrigued the other four, and since they were already in the club with other group members around, the suggestion was approved.

Mai Mai had already gotten up to call over a few acquaintances from the next table.

Mai Mai quickly brought over a few group members who were chatting, and everyone sat in a circle.

Alex concisely explained the clues they had investigated, deliberately omitting the true situation, only saying that it was for designing a story background for a Warhammer role-playing game.

"Uh, I don't think Tzeentch has anything to do with it, right?" Old Meng said nonchalantly after listening, twirling his explosion-like curly hair with his fingers. "All the clues you're providing now are too Khorne-like: blood sacrifices, skulls, violent slaughter… If those Tzeentch cultists were really causing trouble, they'd at least leave behind some strange runes or contradictory information, right?"

He stretched and yawned, crunching the soda can on the table. "Besides, Tzeentch followers aren't so straightforward; don't they all prefer to hide in the background and play dirty tricks?"

A ripple of laughter went around, and several group members nodded in agreement.

Although they usually loved to say "it's all Tzeentch's fault" when chatting, when it came to actual analysis, everyone knew that a Tzeentch Daemon wouldn't act so simply and brutally.

"That's not entirely true," another group member with black-rimmed glasses disagreed, shaking his head as he analyzed. "If Tzeentch really wanted to cause trouble from behind the scenes, it would be normal for It not to let you discover It."

He pushed up his glasses, his eyes behind the lenses glinting with thought. "If it's a Tzeentch Daemon causing trouble, manipulating a Greater Daemon of Khorne from behind the scenes, or those two Daemon Princes you mentioned, it's not impossible!"

His words also drew a lot of agreement, after all, Tzeentch's domain is schemes and tricks; the God of Cunning might not have been involved, but it's unlikely that those involved were not the God of Cunning.

The discussion grew louder, some began flipping through books for corroboration, while others pulled out their phones to search for relevant information.

"I think you seem to have fallen into a misconception," Liu Yi interjected at this point, interrupting their debate. "The key now isn't to determine whether a Tzeentch Daemon is involved, but rather to find the mastermind, to find evidence. Only with evidence can a judgment be made."

His voice was steady and strong, and his perspective and judgment seemed different from the others.

Hearing Liu Yi say this, Alex suddenly became interested, turning to him and asking, "What you said makes a lot of sense. Can you tell me how you see this problem?"

He leaned slightly forward, adopting a posture of focused listening.

"I don't know much about this issue," Liu Yi shook his head slightly, his tone calm. "But when I was in the military, we also encountered situations where we didn't know where the enemy was or who the enemy was. In such times, the most taboo thing is to make hasty judgments or take action."

He paused, seemingly recalling something, then continued, "Instead of locking onto a target too early, it's better to gather enough intelligence first."

Hearing Liu Yi say this, Alex pondered for a moment, then said, "Your approach is indeed safer, but what if the enemy misleads you? For example, deliberately leaving false clues?"

"That requires the Commander to make the judgment," Liu Yi's answer remained steady. "How to extract effective intelligence from incorrect information, and thus make the correct judgment."

Liu Yi did not directly provide a specific course of action but instead emphasized the Commander's core position in intelligence analysis.

His tone was steady, and his eyes revealed a deep understanding of the military command system, clearly having firsthand experience of the importance of command decisions during his time in the military.

Alex merely nodded slightly at this answer, neither expressing agreement nor raising objections.

He remained silent, his gaze thoughtfully directed out the window, as if weighing something.

Ultimately, he chose not to press further.

Alex knew very well why Liu Yi would give such an answer—after all, Liu Yi's position during his military service was only that of an ordinary soldier.

This realization caused a flash of understanding in Alex's eyes, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously turned up slightly.

In the military system, the division of responsibilities between soldiers and officers has always been clear: soldiers are required to obey and execute, while officers must bear the heavy responsibility of judgment and decision-making.

Subsequently, Alex turned to the other group members, continuing to solicit their opinions.

Although everyone expressed their views and offered many valuable insights and suggestions, and the discussion atmosphere was quite lively, Alex's gaze gradually became firm.

Amidst the diverse voices of discussion, his mind had already reached a clear conclusion and made the final decision.
