The magic that flowed throughout the battlefield was visible to Thane's eyes. He could see the energy beneath the Dungeon Core drawing out the lava from beneath.
It was not a clean and efficient flow of mana. It was violent, wasteful, and desperate. The mana moved like wild veins beneath the broken ground, dragging lava upward through the cracks and forcing the dungeon itself to obey through sheer rage.
"Luckily, it doesn't have the mana to bury this entire place in lava. " Thane analyzed. But he knew that this meant the battlefield's landscape would change right after that attack.
The cracks that were forming were not random. Thane could tell that the Dungeon Core was trying to turn the entire battlefield into a weapon. If it could not drown the Red Chains completely, then it would make every step dangerous, every formation unstable, and every retreat path broken.
