(3rd person POV- One piece world)
The world was on the verge of erupting as the day of Jozu's execution approached. Those allied to Whitebeard gathered and pushed themselves for this final stretch. The marines also drew in their most powerful members from across the sea to Marineford that would serve as the battle ground. The other yonko watched to take advantage of the fight or interfere in the case of Kaido. What none but Whitebeard and his most trusted knew however was that they had gotten a trump card. -
The new potions were as they were told, explosively growth inducing. Unlike the energy steroid that they were made from originally these potions tripled the physical abilities of whoever drank it and did so permanently. The cost was a few measly weeks of their lives being stripped away in trade. A price they were all too happy to accept. There wasn't enough for anyone to double dip the potion but that was fine as from those that drank one a new Yonko level fighter emerged, Marco. He was already the closest to that level amongst all the crew and thanks to the potion he finally crossed that gap even if only just.-
He wasn't as strong as long established fighters of that level but he was definitely there as even Whitebeard agreed on that. Thanks to this the forces of the Whitebeard pirates were relaxed for the most part until the day of the war came. It was a partially clouded day as the marine army stood waiting for the Whitebeard pirates as Juzo sat helplessly on the execution platform. There was only one direction the great pirate could come from and there was cannons, ballistae and nets lining the tall walls of this artificial bay. -
When the time finally came Sengoku(the marine fleet commander) faced the assembled army under live broadcast across the globe and spoke.
"Here sits the notorious pirate Diamond Jozu! Third division commander of the Whitebeard pirates! Do you acknowledge your crimes!?" the afro wearing marine said loudly with the last bit directed at the pirate being executed.
".." Jozu said nothing and remained stoic.
"Tch, can't even defend yourself can you?" Sengoku scoffed. "Begin the execution!" he commanded as he left to stand off to the side.
Two specially dressed marines slowly walked up the platform in brown uniforms that were the signature of the executioners. In their hands were two long handled and long bladed spear like weapons that were the preferred method of execution. As they got up the stairs a commotion started at the edge of the water as a massive shadow began to rise from the depths. The water broke with a loud "BOOM!" as the flagship of Whitebeard's fleet the Moby dick rose from below the water with Whitebeard himself standing proudly at it's front.-
"No one asked me if I agreed to my son being executed!" he spoke up firmly as he set his naginata to the side and held out his arms before seeming to grip the very air.
Cracks appeared where his fingers curled and with a powerful ripping motion expanded greatly all around him as the entire island and the surrounding seas quaked and twisted under his power. The island tilted slightly and the sea rose in massive kilometer high tsunami from both sides of Marineford threatening to wash it away. Aokiji, one of the admirals rushed out and slammed his palms onto the surface of the sea.
"ICE AGE!" he yelled and the seas frozen rapidly and those two tsunami were transformed into icebergs towering over the island.
This move had also forcibly left the bay open for the Whitebeard pirates to leave. More and more ships showed up from further out and crashed into the ice shelf before the pirates on them rushed out to fight the marines. Sengoku got a sudden emergency message that made his face scrunch up in rage as he cursed Whitebeards name and was forced to send Kizaru away while the Whitebeard pirates pressed forward. The war was bloody from the start as while the Whitebeard pirates were outnumbered they had more high end fighting power. -
Much much more power than they should have according to the information the marines had. A fact that Sengoku picked up on immediately with a grave expression. Normally a single admiral could hold two of the division commanders back but it was like the commanders had all grown just as strong as the admirals forcing what should have been a close but marine favoring prolonged fight into an absolute rout of the marines. There was simply too many more division commanders than admirals and one of the admirals was even missing because of a very different type of emergency.-
Of the warlords who had attended the war like they were supposed to only Doflamingo, Mihawk and Kuma were making a dent in the Whitebeard pirates forces. Mihawk was being held back and was holding back Marco, Doflamingo was being held back by Ace and Kuma was being stopped by Vista. The other division commanders were running rampant if they weren't fighting Aokiji or Akainu. Garp and Sengoku were fighting Whitebeard who was at the peak of his power still due to the elixir he drank.-
"Cut the feed! Quick!" Sengoku yelled at the ones broadcasting this war the moment he realized the marines were losing, badly at that.
"You can tell those five they should wait for me to die of old age before getting any more ideas!" Whitebeard yelled as he punched Sengoku with the full power of his devil fruit behind it.
The fleet commander spat blood as the very space he was in quaked till it cracked causing severe internal injuries and taking him out of the fight. Garp didn't bother continuing to fight and called for a full retreat of the marines. The Whitebeard pirates led by Whitebeard himself retrieved Jozu and left like they hadn't just stomped on the marines in full view of the world.
