Chapter 500 - Gardevoir is angry

Chapter 500:

Time passed slowly. The feed from the satellite showed that after the blue Pokémon finally chose to leave, most people in the room let out a sigh of relief.

Because one of the battling parties was that blue, quadrupedal Pokémon.

And the Pokémon that emerged from the ocean later, along with the Latias and an unfamiliar small Pokémon, were clearly there to help Lugia, the Sea Guardian.

Now that one side had left, it indicated the battle should be over.

With the matter settled, the tension in the room gradually eased.

Information from the intelligence department hadn't arrived yet, and people in the room slowly began to wonder anew.

Who was this human?

Not to mention what the Pokémon emerging from the sea was, even Lugia, the Sea Guardian, after being freed from control, went over to this human's side along with the remaining Pokémon.

It was impossible to say they weren't acquainted.

Just then.

Someone in the room shouted, "Found it!"

"Their first energy clash occurred in Shoshu Province, in Aogiri Town, at a place called..."

He was about to relay more information, but Kazephyr's voice was faster, "That's enough. No need to say more."

Actually, the moment he saw that figure earlier, Kazephyr had already had a premonition.

Now, hearing the location, he was sure of the person.

It was that kid again, as expected.

What was he doing?

Kazephyr felt a headache coming on.

For a region's Champion and League Chief, the responsibilities were actually quite heavy, but they always revolved around two premises.

Seek development.

Seek stability.

Developing under the premise of stability was the principle Kazephyr always followed.

When it came to Legendary Pokémon, he was always extra cautious.

But now, in less than a year, Kaede had encountered several Legendary Pokémon and had already made the entire League jumpy multiple times.

Yet, no major incident had ever actually been triggered.

Finally, looking at the sea surface returned to calm, Kazephyr could only issue orders helplessly.

"If no incident was triggered, then do not publicize this event. The intelligence department should continue searching for information regarding these Pokémon."

"Yes, sir...."

...

Returning to the Breeding House reservoir via the Distortion World, Kaede first released Serperior and Gardevoir.

Actually, Kaede felt this shouldn't have caused major issues, but not bringing them would have left them worried at home.

As for Mew, Victini, and Lugia, they didn't take the Distortion World route and would probably need a while longer to get home.

But even so, after Gardevoir emerged, it couldn't help but remark to him.

"Gardevoir..." (That was really bold talk.)

Clearly, this referred to Kaede's words when facing Dialga, which sounded almost like provocation.

Serperior, without a sound, left his side and headed for the tree orchard.

"Hmm..."

Kaede rubbed his head, not knowing what to say, and could only smile at Gardevoir.

After it left too, he began handling the remaining matters.

Although it seemed Dialga had left, in reality, Dialga probably had a somewhat strong reaction to his words.

This could be seen from the Friendship value. Upon first meeting, it was 0. After he spoke those words, the Friendship dropped to -3.

Hmm, not a big drop, but it truly showed Dialga remembered him.

With a -3, at least Dialga probably wouldn't come seeking revenge at night... right?

But it seemed Gardevoir was a bit upset...

Oh no...

As Kaede walked, he pondered how to properly discuss things with Gardevoir later.

Returning to the villa's courtyard, Zoroark was already waiting.

Seeing Kaede return, it felt relieved internally.

It had been wondering if its matter had caused significant trouble.

From its few days here, it was clear that in this courtyard... or rather this entire place, this human was the core. If something happened to him because of its matter, this entire courtyard, even the ecosystem, would slowly collapse. It would be like a building whose foundation was destroyed, toppling over instantly.

If that happened, even if what it wanted to do succeeded, how could the others here be anything but innocent?!

This line of thought made it hesitant again, even causing its conviction, held for years, to waver once more.

But upon seeing Kaede return safely, its conviction grew firm again.

Kaede didn't pay attention to the changes in its expression. "Come, Zoroark."

Zoroark followed him without a word.

Arriving before the Time Ripples, Kaede pointed at the spot where the "Time Ripples" were and said softly, "This is where the Time Ripples are. Since you have eyes that can see the future, you should be able to see them. With this, in the coming days, Celebi will come to this place. When that time comes, just explain the situation to it."

"So, for the next few days, you need to guard this spot. Don't miss it."

"Zoroark..." (Understood. Thank you.)

"Hmm, if anything comes up, let me know." Kaede thought about reaching out to pat this Zoroark but felt it might be improper. In the end, he just smiled, left a final remark, and departed.

He needed to hurry back to "appease" Gardevoir.

Probably Serperior too... maybe.

But just as he walked from the tree orchard into the courtyard, the first Pokémon he encountered were Alolan Ninetales and the others.

They were returning from outside, clearly unaware of what had just happened, still chattering.

"Ninetales?" (Charizard isn't a Dragon-type? How can that be?)

"Sylveon..." (Yeah, yeah, it's obviously a Dragon-type. His Charizard clearly can't beat us.) Little Nine chimed in from the side.

Kaede interjected with a question, "What are you guys talking about?"

Alolan Ninetales quickly explained, "Ninetales!" (We're discussing Charizard's typing. That person we mentioned earlier told us Charizard is Fire/Flying-type. We don't believe it. It clearly looks like a dragon!)

"Sylveon!" Little Nine chimed in from the side.

His Charizard couldn't withstand its Hyper Voice, so it must be Dragon-type.

Kaede: "???"

He suddenly realized he had never actually taught his Pokémon about type matchups, which is why they didn't even know what was super effective against what.
