Jason Carter's speech ended, and Infinity Media's annual meeting officially concluded. His words had been brief—there were no flowery slogans, no empty promises—but the impact they left behind was deep and irreversible. It wasn't hype. It was certainty.
As the crowd began to disperse, an odd scene unfolded. Nearly every female streamer present wanted to add Jason's contact information. Yet not a single one dared to step forward.
Jason's appearance was too refined, his aura too distant, and his wealth too overwhelming. In front of him, these women—who were usually chased relentlessly by fans and sponsors—felt an unfamiliar emotion: inferiority. The so-called goddesses of the livestreaming world, idols worshipped by countless men online, suddenly felt like ordinary girls standing before someone completely out of their reach.
Still, none of them wanted to miss the opportunity. So instead of approaching Jason directly, they all quietly did the same thing—they added Olivia's contact.
Inside the luxury car, Olivia finally couldn't hold it in anymore and laughed. "Mr… your damnable charm. This is the first time in my life that this many beauties have added my contact."
Jason smiled faintly. "How are you so sure they weren't here for you?"
Olivia laughed even harder. "Because every single one of them did not even look at me like I didn't even exist." Then she added teasingly, "Oh—and not just women. A few male streamers tried to add you too."
Jason replied calmly, "Keep the contacts of the attractive female streamers. Delete the rest."
Olivia nodded without hesitation. "Also, Daniel's team has been almost completely purged. Only one person slipped through. From what I saw tonight, he's already taken the bait. Jay in Cambodia has also responded. He's preparing to return to the US."
Jason nodded, satisfied. The car started and slowly drove away. Behind them, Infinity Media's headquarters remained brightly lit, dozens of eyes following the departing vehicle with awe and reverence.
In a dark corner of the building, a middle-level manager quietly answered a phone call. The voice on the other end was sharp with disbelief. "Is the video you sent real? You're telling me all of that actually happened?"
The manager lowered his voice. "Boss, I wouldn't dare lie to you. It's completely real. No editing. No filters."
The person on the other end cursed under his breath. "This is going to overturn the entire industry. What 'predatory contracts'? That's normal management. Without restrictions, how do you control streamers?" He paused, then added bitterly, "And yet… this kid has tens of billions in assets. In front of absolute capital, all tricks are meaningless."
The manager hesitated, then said, "Boss… I don't think I can stay at Infinity Media anymore. Daniel's people were wiped out overnight. I just hid well enough to survive. But exposure is only a matter of time. Why don't I bring a few streamers over while I still have value?"
He was silent for a moment. "With Infinity Media's current benefits and resources, can you even poach anyone?"
The manager replied quietly, "Ordinary streamers? No chance. But three of them were poached earlier—before Jason acquired Infinity Media. In Jason's eyes, they're probably considered traitors. They're already being isolated. They won't last at either Infinity Media or New Vision Media. The key is—their contracts haven't officially taken effect yet. That means poaching them now costs almost nothing. They're not top-tier, but they're young, pretty, and trainable. If nothing else… they're still useful."
He exhaled slowly. "Bring them over. Let me take a look."
Not long after, Alice, Angela, and the others received calls. They were immediately torn. Infinity Media, now fully controlled by Jason, had unmatched resources, benefits, and future prospects. If they could stay—even at the margins—it would be worth everything.
But reality was cruel. They had offended Jason. They were being deliberately ignored. No collaborations. No conversations. No future. Even if the company thrived—it had nothing to do with them.
Among the three, one made her decision first. After being ostracized at New Vision Media, and then again the moment she arrived at Infinity Media, her resentment had completely hardened. If she couldn't stay, then she would leave. And if she had to burn bridges, she wouldn't hesitate.
After much hesitation, Angela ultimately chose to stay. She thought it through very carefully. First, her current development wasn't bad. While she wasn't top-tier, she had a stable audience and income. Abandoning everything now to gamble on a new company was risky.
Second, Infinity Media's future was simply too tempting. With Jason Carter at the helm, backed by terrifying capital and countless resources, the company's trajectory was obvious. As long as one didn't self-destruct, the ceiling was incredibly high.
Third—and most importantly—Jason didn't seem to have any intention of targeting her specifically. Yes, she had wavered before. Yes, she had nearly jumped ship. But in the end, she hadn't crossed the line. Both Infinity Media and New Vision Media belonged to Jason anyway. Changing companies wouldn't really put her "outside" his sphere. If she focused on her work, made money, and kept a low profile, perhaps Jason wouldn't even bother remembering her mistake.
Right now, there was some subtle ostracism. But storms passed. Once time smoothed things over, and seeing that Jason didn't pursue the matter, others would naturally stop mentioning it. The present was cold winter—but if she endured, spring would come.
Alice's state of mind, however, was far more complicated. For her, it wasn't just about her career. She couldn't accept the fact that she would never become Jason's woman.
She had known Jason earlier than Mia and Grace. She had been closer. She had opportunities. And yet now—Mia and Grace wore multi-million-dollar couture, enjoyed S-tier resources, lived in luxury homes Jason bought, and drove cars he paid for. Even Grace, who once merely drove Jason around, now lived in a mansion and earned a fortune under his protection.
And what did Alice have? A single designer bag. Nothing more. The comparison gnawed at her sanity.
He seemed to see through her thoughts and spoke bluntly. "Jason Carter is someone you shouldn't fantasize about anymore. You had a chance once. You didn't seize it. Now Infinity Media is full of beautiful, young, high-value streamers. Even if you stayed, you'd have no chance."
He paused, then continued calmly, "Why not lower your expectations and change targets? Our company isn't Infinity Media—but it's stronger than New Vision Media ever was. And Boss Wang isn't stingy with women who please him. If you gain his favor, your future is still very bright."
Alice still refused to accept reality. She made one final attempt. That night, she went to the hotel where Jason was staying. She had rehearsed everything—an explanation, a confession, even tears. As long as Jason softened even a little, she would throw herself at him without hesitation.
But reality crushed her completely. After the hotel staff contacted Jason, the response came back cold and merciless: "Mr Jason says he doesn't know you."
The next day, she agreed to join.
Olivia reported the situation to Jason. "Mr, Angela chose to stay. The other two are leaving."
Jason replied calmly, without hesitation. "Let them go. If we can collect liquidated damages, do so. If the other side doesn't want to pay, waive it."
They was irrelevant.
Alice's and the other's contract terminations were processed quickly. They officially left Infinity Media. Once the news spread, reactions varied. Some praised Jason's generosity, saying he was too honorable to retaliate. Others whispered that he was soft—that his kindness could be exploited. A few even began scheming, wondering how far they could push him.
Jason didn't care. Because at that very moment, Jay had returned to the United States from Cambodia. And the real reckoning was about to begin.
