『Nejire Hado』
Nejire slurped her spaghetti as she watched her junior in front of her devour his burger like a lion would devour a deer. It looked comical with how utterly stoic he was at almost all times and how little his expression changed despite eating. Some might think it was a bit unnerving, but she was used to Tamaki, so it felt more charming to her than not.
Staring at his sharp and handsome face she couldn't help but think about why she came here. Though she could be pretty airheaded, inquisitive and oblivious at times according to her friends, to the point of pushing people away, she was not stupid.
Hakari hadn't been the first person that had asked her out, in fact, quite a lot of people had asked her out over time. She rarely accepted them, and the ones she did never lasted long. But she just felt something from Hakari that drew her in, beyond his amazing quirk and good looks.
He had good vibes was how she would describe it, which was also why she called him Lion-kun, beyond him looking like a lion with his mane of hair and sharp eyes of course.
He had this protective but aloof vibe around him, he definitely cared, but did his absolute best to seem like he didn't, which she adored. Despite his stoicism and lack of expression, he was actually a rather good listener, and despite being younger than her, he felt really reliable and safe. Like a Lion, which was why she dubbed him as such.
Truthfully, even if he had failed his bet with her, Nejire had still planned to take him out to eat as a treat to get his spirits up. But she was very satisfied with the date so far, they had walked around the park. Gone to the aquarium and looked around there, visited the Hero Museum and toured around, most of which was her dragging him but he seemed to not mind at all.
Boop.
Nejire reached forward and booped him on the nose as he took another bite, making him furrow his brows and her smile in response.
"What's up?"
He quickly chewed his bite and asked but Nejire just tilted her head.
"Nothing, just wanted to boop your nose."
"...Alright."
She snickered slightly, she could almost see the lion ears on his head. And he was somehow confused about why she called him a lion.
Above all other reasons, the reason Nejire accepted dating him was because he actually seemed to like her. She was quite a touchy person, and she was quite bad at reading social clues, but he seemed to find those and her constant questions and chatting charming instead of annoying. Normally, with boys, they found it intrusive or something to look past because of how she looked.
Yes, she knew what boys liked. Her friend made sure to drill it into her head after a few failed dates with some boys.
She really enjoyed this date, and being with Hakari, so she found no reason to not go on the date. And so far she has not regretted a single second of it.
Boop.
She poked his cheek this time after he swallowed his bite, making him raise an eyebrow before he reached a hand forward and unexpectedly he booped her back, making her giggle.
"I have to say, I think I get the appeal of booping people."
"Right?"
Yeah, he was totally on her wavelength.
"Can we go to buy shoes next Lion-kun?"
"Why shoes? I'm not exactly a fashionista."
She rested her cheeks on her palms.
"Well, I'm dating you right now, so I want to buy something you'll enjoy looking at. Isn't that obvious?"
He cradled his chin in thought, as if considering her flirting in a serious light before nodding.
"That does make sense, alright, let me pay, I'll be back in a second."
With that, he got up and paid for their meal, he insisted on paying for everything during the date, while she initially objected at first since she was being paid an actual wage at her internship and ads; He said he wanted to pay and had plenty of money so she agreed. She was not going to say no to being pampered.
After paying for the meal they left the restaurant and started walking together, though seeing the distance between them, she couldn't but frown for a minute second before grabbing his arm and hugging it, staying close to him.
He felt warm and soft, like a Lion. Honestly, she couldn't fathom why he would ever question his own nickname. His lips monetarily curled upwards at her act, making her smile slightly too before his expression returned to neutral.
She still remembered the shoes shop her and her friends bought her current pairs from, so she started leading him there. But as they were walking, Hakari suddenly stopped. making Nejire tilt her head in confusion.
"Lion-kun?"
All of a sudden, Hakari looked serious and focused, putting her on edge, his eyes were glued to the ground, as if reading something before he gently dislodged his arm from her grasp.
"Nejire, get ready."
Crash!
She did not get to question why he said that for more than a second before a large crash resounded through the street. Without hesitation she instantly got into position and summoned her waves, and from the corner emerged a large figure encased in a large humanoid form of plastic made from posters, asphalt, figurines, clothes, cards, plastic bags and such melted into a shell of plastic that was vaguely shaped into something like an armor. A storm of plastic objects circled around him like a whirlwind.
"Ahahaha! All bow before the power of the Macro Plastic! I am the king of the modern world!"
Nejire exchanged a look with Hakari and saw his eye twitching and she shared the sentiment, she was very annoyed at their date being interrupted by this villain but she had a job to do and people to protect.
"Lion-kun, back me up."
"Got it."
She took to the skies with her waves and flew towards Macro Plastic who saw her coming and spread her arms like a showman.
"Ah! Another victim dares confront the Macro Plastic, the bane of the modern man!? Foolish woman, do you not understand that most clothes are polyester!? Suffer the woes of a plastic world and PERISH!"
With a wave of his hand, she felt her clothes tighten to a suffocating level, but she gritted her teeth and raised a hand towards the villain.
"Nejire Wave!"
Boom!
"Gyaah!!!"
From her position above him, she released a large surge wave, aiming to disable him, the surge struck his position and sent him flying and made him fly into a concrete wall, and she felt the pressure on her body go lax. Letting out a sigh of relief she was about to unleash another wave when a cloud of pens, phone cases and trash bags filled her view, she let off another wave to throw the cloud of trash aside, but what she saw afterward made her blood boil.
"Not another move Energy Woman! If I feel like you glow even a lumen too much, I shall execute this."
Due sounding like a rather unassuming villain at first, Nejire had underestimated him, which was her mistake, because the villain had taken advantage of her blindness to drag a young boy into the fight, the boy was struggling for air as he was held aloft by a plastic bike lock wrapped tightly around his neck, kicking and wheezing.
Immediately, Nejire lowered herself to the ground and held up her hands with a grim look, her quirk was not precise enough to hit the villain without injuring the child.
"I have, please let him go now."
The despicable and dastardly villain shook his head and snarled.
"You think I'm stupid!?! Everyone thinks I'm stupid! I'll show them!"
Nejire felt her blood go cold as the bike lock tightened further around the boy's neck. She was going to try and stall until another hero who could assist arrived but-
...Where was Hakari?
Just as she was thinking that-
Bang!
A line of crimson instantly streaked through from one of the buildings to the side, through the concrete wall and precisely ripped through the wrist of the villain, but not only that, the slight yellow arcs surrounding the blood coursed through the man like livewire and dropped him to the ground.
Crash!
"Guah!"
Nejire was not one to miss the chance, she closed the distance between her and the villain, using a wave to boost herself before kneeing his head and knocking him out. She immediately moved over to the boy and ripped the bike lock to shreds with a small wave, but scowled at the dark purple bruise around his neck.
Around the same time, she saw Hakari walked out of the building the red line came from, she recognized that it was his Piercing Blood move just now. Shrugging his shoulders, he approached her and the boy before extending hand towards him. She watched as his hands glowed a bright yellow, the same one that healed Mirio heal the boy next to her.
A light smile graced her lips as she watched him work without a second thought like a real pro. She really hadn't been wrong about him.
"There kid, you should be fine now."
"Sniff! Thwank you mwister!!!"
The young boy could barely get the words out between the tears and Hakari sighed before reaching into his bag and pulling out a lollipop and handing it to the boy.
"You're a big boy, don't cry now. Here, have this lollipop, it's my favorite flavor."
Hearing the promise of sweets, the boy seemed to be momentarily distracted from his brush with death and grabbed the lolipop and stuck it in his mouth. Nejire couldn't help but feel hot watching this caring side of Hakari. Feeling mischievous she crouched and poked his side too.
"Hey mwister, can I have a lollipop too?"
He let out a weary sigh and pulled out a lollipop before smirking and putting it in his own mouth, making her pout and pound his chest playfully.
"Ah! Hey- mph?"
Just as she was about to voice her complaints about the denial of sweets, he pulled out his lollipop and stuck it in her mouth instead, she didn't know how he tasted like, but she felt like there was a slight hint of his own taste in the lollipop and she couldn't help but blush.
An indirect kiss.
Nejire kept sucking the lollipop shyly while Hakari rubbed his head.
"Haah, this is a mess. What are the chances we could call Nezu-sensei to clear this all up? Nejire-senpai?"
She did not reply and averted her eyes.
For once, Nejire did not know what to say.

『Hakari Kotaro』
I had seriously considered just aiming that man's neck when he interrupted my date with Nejire but I managed to hold myself. Unfortunately, after that villain attack, our great date had to come to an end as we had to give our testimonies to the police and the vibes were kinda ruined.
Which was a real shame, I really enjoyed my date with Nejire, she was very fun to be around. And she was like a trivia machine when she was talking about the quirks of heroes and interesting quirk mutations.
She was also very touchy feely which while I did not say out loud but I enjoyed. What man wouldn't want to be touched by Nejire?
Too bad it was cut short by that fucker, at least I managed to cripple his wrist, which did get me in trouble with the authorities until Nejire resolved the situation by revealing she was Ryukyu's intern and we managed to shift the problem to Nezu instead, he knew how to handle this situation better than we did anyway.
Anyways, at least I managed to end off the date on a good note by getting to see the rare flustered Nejire and managed to do a live test of my newest move. Crimson Arc Overdrive, where I loaded my hamon into my Piercing Blood, which already required concentration anyway so I did not lose much, and hit the opponent with it. While Hamon was mostly harmless to humans in the doses I could produce, it could still paralyze and knock them out. Which was what gave me the confidence to snipe him through the inside of a building using piercing eyes.
So yeah, overall, I'd say today was a good day.
Feat Achieved! Defeat the Instant Villain: Macro Plastic
+1x Silver Ability Gacha Ticket
...What the hell is an Instant Villain?
A/N: Writing from Nejire's PoV felt more appropriate for this date, you guys already know very well what Hakari thinks about Nejire, but not what she thinks about him. Hopefully this PoV did her justice, she is a very fun partner to write. Her and Hakari are cute together.
Of course, even with Hakari's fraud luck trait, dates cannot ever go as planned. It seems like there are Instant Villains here now, somehow? Isn't that interesting? It seems like a certain someone is starting to make some moves. What did you guys think about this chapter and date? I'd love to know.
