MHGA Chapter 380 – Homura and Felyne Meal!

Although she had already met Kairo Retsu—the not-so-reliable Hunter Guildmaster—Homura Akemi still felt that someone like him might just be an exception.

Surely, actual Hunters would be more serious when it came to hunts… And yet now, she was seeing several people in the canteen playing cards—with their faces covered in sticky notes…

"Eh? Madoka, you're back?"

As Homura stood there in confusion, a female voice called out from behind them. "This must be… Homura, right?"

Homura turned around—and was immediately hit by a dazzling array of colors. Standing there was a woman whose style was completely different from the Hunters'. Beside her was a young man built like a gorilla.

But what caught Homura's attention most was the peculiar circuitry-like lines on their faces—almost like they were some kind of cybernetically enhanced humans.

Noticing Homura's confusion, Madoka gently explained, "Homura, this is Mr. David and big sister Lucy. They're…"

"Cyberpunks," David finished the sentence and continued, "You're Homura Akemi, right? I've heard of you."

He paused to think, then said, "I really admire you. So… if you ever need help, just come find me."

David gave a wide, bright smile. "I haven't been a Hunter for long either, but I can bring over some weapons from my world."

Clutching Lucy's hand, David added with a grin, "If it's just firepower you need… well, even a tactical nuke isn't out of the question."

David thought about what weapons were still within his reach now.

Though his Hunter combat skills weren't quite up to par yet—he definitely still needed to eat more Felyne Meals—thanks to Arasaka Corporation's backing, obtaining some overkill-level firepower was still doable…

He was even preparing to discuss with Kazuma whether combining large-scale cyberpunk weaponry with things like Explosion Magic might just reset the upper limit of Hunter firepower entirely…

"…?"

A question mark slowly popped up over Homura's head.

What had she just heard?

A what?

So just what kind of world was David from, where mentioning "tactical nukes" sounded like casual small talk?

If only she'd had something like a nuke in the previous loops… Homura would've seriously considered stuffing one into Walpurgisnacht's stomach to see if that would finish it off for good.

Despite looping countless times, Homura was still a middle schooler, busy with matters concerning Madoka—and thus had no real concept of megacorporations, let alone the supercorporations of the Cyberpunk world.

The girl's heart was, in that moment, slightly shaken by the sheer weight of capitalist power…

But her shock didn't last long. Madoka led her over to a seat in the canteen, and soon after, Homura felt as though someone was watching her.

She looked around cautiously—and finally noticed, at the kitchen window, a plump calico cat who looked like an elderly granny squinting at her. After a good long stare, Granny Felyne disappeared from the window.

"Madoka, are we…" Homura started to ask what they were doing here, when a wave of heat wafted out from the kitchen.

And Shirou Emiya—who had been playing cards—suddenly seemed to find new purpose in life. He tossed his cards aside and rushed to the kitchen window, gleaming with excitement.

Shirou Emiya was a man who could never lie to food! He had to learn from Granny Felyne how to make the most delicious Felyne Meals!

Still stunned, Homura sat there as Madoka gently took her hand and said, "Granny Felyne's food is really tasty. She must've seen that you arrived and is making a special Felyne Meal just for you."

"For… me?" Homura blinked in confusion. Just then, several Felynes slid out from the kitchen on mechanical trays—each carrying a huge, covered serving platter.

"That fast?!" Homura stared blankly as the Felynes placed the dishes in front of her and Madoka, then, in perfect unison, lifted the cloches.

A rich, savory aroma instantly burst forth from the platters before them.

Homura swallowed instinctively as her eyes landed on the food laid out before her.

A steaming hot plate of chargrilled tenderloin, sizzling with an irresistible fragrance. Homura couldn't tell what kind of creature the meat came from, but from the sliced cross-section, she could see juices oozing from within—intermingled with glistening fat—triggering every carnivore's primal appetite.

At the corner of the tray, several unidentified fruits had been peeled and artfully sliced—clearly meant to cut through the richness mid-meal.

In a wooden bowl nearby, a faint scent of sake lees wafted up. Inside, vegetables and what looked like chicken meat were stewed together—the meat so tender, it couldn't possibly have been cooked in just a few minutes.

And at the center of the tray sat three piping-hot rice balls. Homura was sure Granny Felyne had just made them by hand—because at the center of each was a tiny paw print indentation…

"This… is for me?" Homura asked, trying to resist the urge to dig in.

"Yup! It's lunchtime for us, right?" Madoka smiled brightly. "Besides, I really want you to get proper nutrition, Homura."

She then looked at Homura with gentle concern. "Your health's always been fragile, hasn't it? Even though you became a magical girl, I still worry about your illness…"

"I…" Homura opened her mouth but couldn't say anything. Ever since becoming a magical girl, she hadn't paid any attention to her congenital heart disease. But Madoka's concern made her feel like… maybe she was dreaming.

No matter what, she decided to treasure this time together with Madoka as much as she could.

"Thanks for the food." Homura solemnly picked up her utensils, brought a bite to her mouth—then her eyebrows shot up.

Homura instinctively began eating faster.

From the kitchen, Granny Felyne wiped her hands as she emerged, watching the girl eat with a kind smile.

"Don't rush," she said kindly. "Eat slowly, okay? That's how you'll get strong and healthy."
