MHGA Chapter 297: The Assembly That Left a Deep Impression on the Girls

Before he even made it halfway out the gate, he was flying dropkicked to the ground by a green-caped youth beside him.
"Oi!!!! Just how much do you love magical girls, you maniac!?" Kazuma yelled at the collapsed Kairo Retsu. "How the hell did you find that outfit and put it on so fast?! You're gonna scare the new members, dammit!"
For once, Kazuma stood on the side of justice, berating the magical girl fanatic Kairo.
After his scolding, Kazuma flipped his hair and struck what he thought was a dashing pose, turning to Madoka and Hibiki. "Welcome to the Hunter's Assembly. I'm your senior—Satou Kazuma—OW OW OW!!"
Kazuma hadn't even finished his line before Kairo caught him in a leg lock and began applying increasing pressure.
"I'm the Guildmaster!" Kairo roared. "Kazuma! Are you trying to rebel by stealing my moment to greet the newcomers!?"
"This is tyranny! Tyranny!! I, Kazuma, will never yield to your gorilla brutality!!" Kazuma wrestled with Kairo on the ground.
Meanwhile, the bewildered Madoka and Hibiki were politely ushered inside by the more respectable members of the Assembly—Tanjiro Kamado and Shirou Emiya.
Inside the Assembly, the girls saw bustling Felynes moving back and forth, with a massive Alchemical Cauldron set up at the center.
Standing on the rim of the cauldron was a kind-looking elder Felyne—Granny Felyne—stirring a brew with a giant ladle.
All around, Felynes were busily working: some carried heavy loads, others weighed ingredients, and still others tossed prepared materials into the cauldron.
"What… is happening here?" Madoka murmured, dazed.
Before they could process it, a masked Felyne rushed up to them and began a medical checkup on the spot.
"Oral cavity: normal. Pupils: normal. No irregular heartbeat. No signs of Frenzy Virus infection, nyah!"
After completing the checkup, the Felyne ran off to assist others. More Felynes passed by, some carrying sealed medicines toward the gate, others flying off into the sky on wyverns.
"Where even are we?!" Hibiki shouted in shock. "Why are there so many cats that can walk and talk!?"
Madoka's eyes spun in dizzy circles. She seriously began wondering if this was all a dream.
"No good… nothing useful from Sakura's side!" a bizarre man wearing a blue bird-head helmet suddenly emerged behind Madoka and Hibiki, then flopped down in defeat. "Dammit! Even the Scoutflies couldn't find a trail… Is Gore Magala really in these worlds? This is harder than unlocking EX scenarios in perfume-drenched dungeons!"
"I did manage to collect blood from some Frenzy Virus-infected youkai…" Laios, returning from the Magical Girl Ore world, flipped through a book while holding a vial of purple liquid. "If it is Gore Magala, what's with this repeated virus dispersal? Is it part of its ecology? Or is it reacting to a new environment using scale dust as a sensory mechanism…? But that would waste too much energy…"
"Hmm?" Joseph, who had just landed from a wyvern with a Light Bowgun strapped to his back and a pack full of Nulberries, spotted Madoka and Hibiki standing dazed. "Isn't that Madoka and Hibiki? Didn't the Guildmaster go to greet you two? That's weird… he was really looking forward to meeting you."
"Guildmaster…?" Madoka and Hibiki exchanged glances. Both had question marks written all over their faces.
"Hey!! Kairo Retsu! Get out here and explain!" Joseph shouted toward the gate, then gave the girls a nod. "I'd love to chat more, but the Assembly's in peak busy mode right now… I need to head back out and gather more Nulberries."
"If you have questions, best ask the Guildmaster."
"Thank you." Madoka and Hibiki politely bowed. "We will…"
"YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME IN A GROUNDED TECHNIQUE SHOWDOWN!? GO BACK AND EAT TWO MORE YEARS OF FELYNE MEALS!!"
From the direction of the gate, Kairo's furious roar echoed. Thus concluded the 27th installment of the Guildmaster Ground Combat Series featuring Kairo Retsu vs. Kazuma Satou.
At last, Madoka and Hibiki realized that the crazed magical girl fanboy they'd seen earlier was the "Guildmaster" Joseph had mentioned.
"I'm your biggest fan!" Kairo exclaimed, shaking hands with both Madoka and Hibiki with great enthusiasm. "Actually…"
He quickly gave a concise explanation about their anime worlds, their future roles, and the situation surrounding the Frenzy Virus and the Hunter Assembly.
"You're both super powerful in the future!" Kairo clenched his fist in excitement. "I love your stories!"
"Me? A magical girl? No way!" Madoka frantically waved her hands. "I'm just an ordinary second-year student… I've never even heard of magical girls!"
"Well, I can transform! But I only just learned how two days ago!" Hibiki added, also waving her hands. "I don't even know why I can transform yet…"
"Ah, no wonder Granny Felyne said we were just in time!" Kairo's mind clicked as he quickly deduced the timeline from their words. "In that case…"
He offered directly: "Would you like to see your own stories? Also… I'd like to speak with you in detail about the future of your worlds—and the Frenzy Virus."
While Kairo was inviting the two girls to watch their own stories, Tanjiro, who had disguised himself to investigate the Frenzy Virus in Altair's world, made a discovery in a remote rural area.
A massive footprint—clearly from something not of this world—and scattered scale dust lay around it…
