"You seem tense Daeron and it's unlike you," Seraphielle murmured quietly as they descended the marble steps leading toward the royal section.
Daeron hummed and scanned the crowded hall carefully before answering.
"Yes. And with good reason."
Seraphielle smiled faintly.
"It's of no use being so tense, everything will work out just fine. You think too much."
"And for a high priestess, you think too little which is precisely why I am appalled and worried at the same time," Daeron countered calmly. "Which is precisely why I am forced to think for both of us."
She clicked her tongue softly.
"Oh how charming of you."
Daeron ignored the sarcasm entirely. He knows that it's of no use arguing with her. He reminded himself never to put himself in such a situation with a stupid witch for the matter. And one who thinks she's actually smart.
For all knows, his brother might already be aware of her and is already prepared for whatever scheme she thinks will work no matter what.
