The secret was soon known.
Natsui threw the Ultra Ball high into the air. A flash of blue light followed. In the next second, a long, black Pokémon appeared. It looked like both a dragon and a snake. Its body was as dark and shiny as ink. It stood tall in the high sky!
Shelly, Maxie, Archie, and Matt all recognized it immediately. Even Courtney, who was still on the ship, knew what it was. The Team Magma and Team Aqua members who had fallen into the water also knew exactly what it was.
They stood with their mouths open and their eyes wide. They looked at the Pokémon and could not believe it.
"Ray... Rayquaza!!!?"
It was impossible to believe and very crazy. No one thought this man would actually release a Rayquaza!

The real fight was just starting!
"Deoxys, Rayquaza, work together and attack Primal Kyogre!"
"That's it! Deoxys, keep attacking Primal Kyogre's belly—that's its weak spot!"
"Rayquaza, don't attack Primal Groudon! Focus on eliminating one opponent first!"
"Rayquaza, come back! I said ignore Groudon and deal with Kyogre first!!"
Because of his orders, the four Pokémon started to fight.
The Difficulty of Command
On the outside, Natsui looked calm. He looked like he had everything under control.
But really, only Gardevoir knew how tired he felt!

When Primal Kyogre went to fight the black Rayquaza, Deoxys became Groudon's main target.

When Primal Groudon tried to attack Deoxys, Natsui told Deoxys to use Teleport. It moved to the other side of Primal Kyogre. This put Primal Kyogre in the middle again.

This was the power of a Trainer!
A Trainer can see everything and make the best choices. A wild Pokémon might just move to avoid an attack. It would not move to make the two Primal Pokémon fight each other!
Because of this, Deoxys was safe. Also, Primal Kyogre had enemies on three sides. It was surrounded!

Primal Kyogre cried out in pain when Primal Groudon hit it.

The group ran to the other side of the island. Natsui looked back. Deoxys had used Teleport to leave, but the black Rayquaza was still there! It was still attacking the two Pokémon!
It was a very brave but dangerous choice...
It did not know what was going to happen. Or maybe it knew the danger but thought it was strong enough to survive!
But maybe this was a good thing. After it learned a lesson, it would follow orders better.
After a few seconds, Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre were ready. They moved at the same time!
Two columns of energy appeared. They were much bigger and brighter than before. They hit each other in the middle!

A red column and a blue column of energy shot up into the sky. There was a huge explosion. The sound made their ears hurt. A strong shockwave reached them. It knocked Maxie and the others down!
Gardevoir made a psychic shield to protect Natsui, Shelly, and Misty. They were almost a thousand meters away, but the shield only lasted seven or eight seconds. Then, the shockwave broke it. The strong wind knocked the three of them over!
The shield had blocked most of the power. Natsui and the girls only fell down.
They got back up and looked at the center of the battlefield. The energy was still there. It looked like a huge cloud of smoke.
Natsui looked for his Pokémon.
Deoxys was safe because of Teleport. It was not hurt at all.
Natsui looked many times, but he could not see the black Rayquaza. The explosion had blown it away.
Natsui believed Rayquaza was strong enough to survive. It was a very powerful Legendary Pokémon.
It might be hurt, but it was not going to die.
He stopped worrying about it and looked at the sky.
The shockwave was hitting the Legendary Birds. The three birds were trying their best to block it. Inside their triangle, the water had huge waves. But outside, the water was calm.
However, they were very tired. They could fail at any moment!
