Chapter 32 - 32 Beneath the Mask, a Fighting Spirit Revealed

"What if we made a spirit tool to create a spirit ring from natural energy, one that is crafted to match the recipient's body, soul, and fighting style?" Arthur said to the Master Dwarf with great enthusiasm.

"A fine idea. But do you know how many creation slots it would consume, how long it would take, and how much space you'd need to place it in the outside world?" the Master Dwarf replied calmly.

Though Arthur and Jing Liu didn't answer, their expressions already made it clear that it would take a long time, consume a huge portion of their available slots, and that was before hearing the Master Dwarf's next explanation.

"To make it, you'd need 90 slot quotas, ten years of construction, and a space as large as a medium-sized castle. And even then, it would only create spirit rings that last up to 900,000 years. That's assuming the user can withstand the pressure from the spirit ring itself. Because even if it's made with a spirit tool, the quality and lifespan of the ring ultimately depend on how well the person attempting to absorb it can handle it," the Master Dwarf continued calmly, after having calculated and analyzed the project that might be built in the future.

Upon hearing this, Arthur and Jing Liu felt as if struck by lightning, shocked by the requirements from the Master Dwarf. But Arthur didn't give up and proposed another idea—a tool to extend the lifespan of an absorbed spirit ring through meditation or other methods. That way, perhaps one day there might even be a technique for humans to forge their own spirit rings.

"Interesting. If that's the case, perhaps a soul-type spirit tool. What about a simulation spirit tool that can draw a person's soul into a separate dimension? Inside that dimension, there would be an array formation to increase the lifespan of the spirit ring. The space could also serve as a discussion room, as well as a means of self-defense. While inside, the user's body would be protected by a barrier that can only be broken if the attacker's soul energy level exceeds your own by 20. Each member's identity would be concealed by a special mask that reflects the true nature of the person beneath it. However, the owner of the spirit tool would still be able to see the face behind the mask," the Master Dwarf said, beginning to sketch out the form of the spirit tool. In its inactive state, it would take the shape of a disc. When activated, it would release nine slips of paper; once infused with soul power, they would instantly transform into tattoos on the user's hand—serving as entry tickets to the space within the spirit tool. Once inside, the dimension would first manifest as a room with nine chairs, initially displaying only the silhouettes of the masks. After deciding to proceed or to leave, the space would transform into a garden, its perimeter lined with runes designed to gather natural energy to extend the lifespan of the spirit ring. And of course, the tattoos could be dismissed or reappeared at will.

After hearing this, Jing Liu didn't immediately grow excited, but instead asked what the requirements would be. The Master Dwarf replied that it would only take three slot quotas and two years to craft, with the spirit tool itself being no larger than a standard throwing disc.

Hearing this, Arthur found the conditions acceptable and decided to have it made in the following two years. For the current year and the next, Arthur still needed to use his slots for other matters. After concluding their discussion, Arthur began to explore his abilities by granting Jing Liu a buff from the skill of his second spirit ring—"Solaire's Blessing."
