Chapter 366 - Cafeteria

'They're still here?' Alex thought, a cold, jagged amusement settling in his chest.

'Looks like they aren't satisfied with just their mouths being used anymore.'

He felt the weight of their gaze, the desperate, unspoken demand for more.

He didn't give them so much as a nod.

Instead, he leaned back into his role, offering a small, distracted smirk as he deliberately looked away, deciding he would deal with their hunger later.

The group shuffled forward in the queue. They moved with a strange, quiet coordination, a stark contrast to the slumped, tired students surrounding them. When they reached the counter, the ordering was brisk and efficient.

"Four coffees," Mike stated, his voice unusually firm. "Three double-shot lattes and one black."

They carried their steaming cups to a central table... far enough from the corner booth to ignore the two girls, but close enough for Alex to remain the center of the room's gravity.
