Bai Yao tilted his head back slightly, his snow-white hair sliding from his shoulders to reveal a handsome face as elegant as a painting.
His emerald eyes rippled with tenderness as he softly called out, "Little Li?"
A blush crept up to Jiang Xinli's ears and her fingertips trembled. Just as she was about to pull her hand back, his pale, slender fingers gripped it tightly.
He lowered his head, pressing a kiss to the back of her hand before helping her lie down on the sofa.
"Get some sleep," he said, leaning down to gently nuzzle her forehead.
Jiang Xinli secretly took a deep breath. "Mm," she agreed.
Once she had closed her eyes, Bai Yao rose and walked over to his desk.
Jiang Xinli slept for a little while before waking up.
She turned slightly onto her side and peeked at Bai Yao through half-closed eyes.
The wide desk made his figure seem all the more tall and imposing.
