As morning light filtered through the lace curtains, Jiang Xinli felt sore all over, as if her body was about to fall apart.
The "culprit," however, looked refreshed and energized, humming a tune as he carried her into the bathroom.
He washed her up, dried her hair, and then, ever so carefully, dressed her.
"Little Bumble, lift your foot." His lips curved into a slight smile as he knelt on one knee and began to put on her shoes.
Jiang Xinli glanced at the fresh, crimson bite mark on the side of his neck and snorted in anger.
'That damn venomous snake... He was clearly doing it on purpose last night!'
'And he said he wasn't jealous.'
'He nearly devoured me, leaving not even the bones.'
