Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Wife-Whipped Man Emerges

Aiden Grant smiled faintly, but his words were powerful: "Uncle, you must be joking. Lily is my wife, she belongs to me, Aiden Grant. Whatever she does is always right."

After saying that, Eldest Young Master Grant silently added: As long as she doesn't get entangled with other men, anything she does is perfectly fine!

Even Lily Shaw was somewhat surprised by his statement; in her eyes, she had only known Aiden Grant for one day. Even if she was now nominally his wife, she wouldn't have expected him to say something like this.

Who doesn't know that Eldest Young Master Grant never speaks idly? He always follows through on his words.

"Eldest Young Master Grant, with your assurance, I am relieved. I am getting old and my words ramble on. Please, Eldest Young Master Grant, don't mind my chatter," Raymond Lowell said, smiling warmly as he raised his teacup and took a small sip.

The wise and coldly composed Eldest Young Master Grant is famously indifferent to romance. Yet, he didn't expect Aiden Grant to protect Lily Shaw so fiercely. He turned his head and glanced at his niece, whose eyes were red, and sighed lightly.

Back then, Raymond Lowell was dealing with Miles Morgan and was stunned upon hearing that Lily Shaw foolishly got a marriage license with Aiden Grant.

This young girl was daring to an extreme; of all people to provoke, she chose Eldest Young Master Grant of The Grant Family, such a troublesome figure!

While his niece is indeed intelligent, she remains no match for Eldest Young Master Grant, who is like a ravenous wolf.

Lily, a little lamb, sent into the wolf's mouth, and the outcome...

Raymond Lowell regretted it immensely, wishing he hadn't gone to discipline Miles Morgan, for then he wouldn't have let that Justin Shaw cause Lily Shaw and Aiden Grant to get a marriage certificate.

His elderly mother had grumbled at him quite a bit over this, but what's done is done.

No matter how capable he is, he can't change the fact that Lily Shaw and Aiden Grant are already married.

Raymond Lowell's dilemma and fear were all seen by Eldest Young Master Grant, yet he paid no mind to Raymond Lowell's overt and covert threats.

On the contrary, he was genuinely happy for Lily Shaw. After all those heartless people abandoned her one by one, at least she had The Lowell Family to turn to and people like Raymond Lowell to care for and protect her.

"Uncle..." Lily Shaw called out guiltily. Her uncle had always been incredibly kind to her, cherishing her deeply. From a young age, he was her ideal father figure.

Now, seeing him humble himself before Aiden Grant for her sake, she felt uncomfortable.

"Lily, you're really..." Raymond Lowell immediately discerned his niece's thoughts, and with a sense of frustration, he glared at her, ready to scold her a few words.

However, upon receiving Aiden Grant's obsidian-black cold gaze, Raymond Lowell was a bit surprised to see dissatisfaction and a veiled threat in his eyes, forcing him to swallow his words.

It was then that the always silent elderly woman spoke: "Eldest Young Master Grant, Lily, this child, has grown up without parental care. Now that she has married you, please take good care of her."

"Grandmother, please rest assured. Lily is my wife, and I will take good care of her," Aiden Grant respectfully replied, adeptly conversing with the elderly woman before taking Lily Shaw back to the presidential suite to change clothes.

"Husband, I'm going to change clothes," Lily Shaw said with an elegant smile as they returned to the presidential suite, her eyes detached as she spoke to Aiden Grant. Ignoring his expression, she went straight into the walk-in closet to change her clothes.
