"Mr. Lockwood, don't you think so?"
Serena smiled and questioned back. Old Master Lockwood was known for his upright and stubborn nature. If he found out his eldest son had an illegitimate daughter, one could only imagine the fury! He might even kick Felix Lockwood out of The Lockwood Family.
With those words, Felix's smile became forced.
"Serena, you're too concerned about other people's affairs."
"I also wonder why I'm so worried!"
Serena's smile faded as she stared at Felix. "But Uncle Lockwood, you and my mom clearly had nothing going on, yet you let others misunderstand; why is that!"
"Didn't you say you were childhood sweethearts, that you liked her?"

Serena finished speaking, unwilling to hear Felix's explanation, and turned to leave.
Watching Serena merge into the crowd, Felix's expression hardened as he turned his head to watch Serena go towards Claire Sullivan and Simon Sterling. Then he saw Claire looking over in his direction.
