I wasn't idle as the days went by, trying to find more information on this mystic arts university took more effort than trying to ask my female colleague on a date
*Sigh.. this is so frustrating.*
I wasn't sure how to explain this to the lady in the central library.
Hey can I get books on mystic artists?.
I decided against it for now. I have no idea how to tell mystic artists apart from normal people.
Having no idea how other mystic artists will react to me probing about their world, I'll keep my mouth shut for now.
"So sir which book would you like to read."
The library clerk greeted me with curled lips.
I glanced at the woman who had light blue hair tied up in a pony tail, and round glasses that took up half her face.
I drop a kronen note on the counter.
"Umm... I would like to go to the non-fiction section please." I almost stammered, that would've been embarrassing.
I wasn't sure If I would find anything of value, but it was worth a shot, I arrived at the non-fiction section and began to blast thought the books, with my eyes
My memory great, not "exceptional" but enough that most people would notice.
As I browsed the non-fiction part I began summarizing everything I knew from the pieces of info I've gathered so far.
There are bastards called {Mystic Artists} in this world, and each of them posses in their knowledge one of the seven Orign laws.
Which are {Ocean, Storms, Blood, Chaos, Steel, Sun and ground.}
Each of this Orign law posses different elements, I suspect ocean is water, storms is some sort of lighting, chaos Orign law might be some sort of chaos energy?. I wasn't sure.
Anyways, steel could be metal, sun would be light or fire then ground would be earth.
How you advanced through the ranks is through studying your Orign law.
If I were to put myself in their power system I would be at the mortal rank, the only words I know is the one miss beyfong threw at me.
I realized I stated calling her miss instead of Mrs.
I tried to think of it but a splitting headache prevented me from doing so.
Anyways, I don't know much about the 13 classes, or was it 14?.
As I browsed through the books I saw one that caught my eye.
I grabbed the hard cover and read it. {"The Unseen realm"} I saw some torn pages in Mrs beyfongs secret library that mentioned something about the {Unseen realm.}
I sat on one of the chairs and skimmed the pages.
The author was writing in Frist person past tense, almost like he was narrating his experience.
I turned to the back of the page.
"By Rudolf Alfred, historian of the mystic arts university of Orign laws and arcane sorcerery"
"This guy again? "
I tried to find out the date in which the book was written. Fortunately at the back of the page a date was written on it, "1848."
It was written over 50 years ago. I began to speculate If this Rudolf guy would have past away by now.
"Yes, he definitely would have, he writes like an old man, so there's no way he would have survived till the nineties."
I sighed in deafeat
But at least the I have assurance it is true given it was the same person that wrote the last one.
I flipped the the Frist page.
–Would you believe me if I told you there is a parallel world that exist from ours?–
"Parallel world?. Sigh.. just how much more complex can this thing get."
–Off course you wouldn't, it sounds unreal and absurd–
"Not gon lie, it kinda does. But I've already seen enough. Even if it's revealed right now that I'm in a dream, I'd definitely believe it."
–It all started when me and my crew were cruising in the North east of Europe, the Atlantic–
*Huh.. a foreigner?. And most likely a pirate.*
Pirates were rare in this time and age, but they weren't impossible to encounter.
I flipped the page.
–it was on a Saturday evening, I was stationed at the deck of the 'Cerberus f..N 12' lovely girl, we were part of a private Rais crew–
*Rais crew, was that some sort of Pirate crew"
–The sky, a deep blue reflecting the ocean, turned grey, as if the world was covered in black and white, like an ink painting–
–And that's when I saw it,
I imagined the voice on the other end grew loud and frantic.
–Monsters, with tentacles as massive was our ship surfaced, at the time I thought a the revelation had befell opon us, The crew member scattered, some grabbed butchers knives and some started praying to their lords–
"Wait, this guy was a literate?, then why did he join a pirate crew?"
Zach recognized the sophisticated writing style.
A literate could basically work anywhere, once people knew you were educated you were basically guaranteed a job.
–The tentacles rocked our boat, and the vessel trembled blasted open violently–
Zach looked up to see the other tables of the library had began filling up.
–I was at the brink of death as our ships started sinking, tentacles picked us off one by one, the screams of my comrades driving me to the brink of madness–
–But then I saw it. A massive island floating above the skies, I knew the lord had come for me.–
–I cried in regret, I should've taken the bible seriously, I should've prayed.–
–But then an angel decenden upon me.–
*An angel?, is that some sort of metaphor cause he was about to die?. *
She was beautiful like the sun, and her face was flawless, her thighs looked like a mirror, her ass was the roundest thing I've ever seen, she had the shape of a goddess and immediately, the man inside me got excited-
I smiled awkward, the virgin inside me rattled a little bit.
The next three lines still described her breasts and how he got to glace at her inner thighs for a moment.
From that alone I could tell this guy was a creep.
–On with the story.–
–She took me to heaven, and I learned that where I was, was called the unseen realm–
–I spent a long time in this place, the infrastructure was unlike anything I've ever seen, and all the people who studied here where called {Mystic Artists}–
"Mystic Arts... could this be.."
The next sentence confirmed my theory.
–This place wasn't called heaven, it was called something strange. It was called...
"{The mystic arts university of Origin laws and arcane sorcerery}"
I repeated.
That was the end of the book.
It had another line at the end, –Those who perceive the unseen realm will never be able to unseen it.–
*I think that was actually directed at me. He he.*
I shut the book, head spinning as I tried to calm the pain by rubbing my temples, trying to digest this new piece of information was like being forced to swallow a piece of rock.
"So basically the place I'm looking for is located in a realm you can only enter by mistake. Of All the ridiculous conditions..."
The afternoon was at its peak as I stood up and walked over to the library keeper.
"Do you have any other books like these" I put the book on the table.
The lady with glasses examined it.
"I'm not quite sure, I'll inquire from my manager."
She put the book away and bowed.
"Please do, and write to me if you can" I bowed back.
Feeling weighed I walked out of the library, hand in my pocket, I took out a cigar and stuffed it in my mouth, lighting it up I exhaled a puff of tired smoke.
So the mystic arts university is located in the unseen realm...
I pressed my lips.
"Another dead end.."
******
Emily the library keeper glanced at the book Zach returned to her.
"So he's interested in this too?" She asked herself caressing the book.
"But I'm much closer to my goal than he is" her lips curled slightly in a self proud smile.
A young man in his 30s walked into to building and Emily stood up to greet him.
"Good morning, sir Jace."
The white-haired man glaced around with a bored expression.
"Mr Roudlf has been expecting you, right this way".
Both of them disappeared behind the library.
