Obito let out a slow sigh after a long moment of silence, then said,
"Is that really what you think of me? I came here for serious business."
But seeing the disbelief written all over their faces, he only sighed again and started walking toward Tsunade.
She stayed where she was, rooted in place, not moving even an inch as he approached.
Then, in one swift motion, Obito pulled her in and dropped into the Hokage's chair with Tsunade seated on his lap as though the office belonged to him.
Shizune's face turned red instantly.
What made it even stranger was that Tsunade did not immediately resist. Her body only stiffened in his arms, her expression growing colder instead.
Obito looked at her with clear amusement.
"What's this?" he asked lazily. "Did you actually miss me enough not to start acting like a tsundere the second I showed up?"
Tsunade gave him a disdainful smile.
"No," she said flatly. "I just know you'd enjoy it more if I fought back, you bastard."
Obito laughed under his breath.
"Wow, you really do know me that well now… should I reward you right here and show my appreciation?"
He wasn't about to let that slide and teased her back as his hand moved around and grabbed one of her soft ass cheeks, his fingers digging in.
"Don't… don't mess around… I won't…"
"Hm?" Obito hummed lightly, clearly amused, and Tsunade instantly stopped before finishing her sentence.
She knew very well that if she threatened him, then whatever little chance she had left of not getting pounded would disappear completely... so she shut up in time.
"Tch... when did you figure me out this well?" he muttered. "And here I thought you hated me."
"Knowing you well doesn't mean I don't," Tsunade shot back without hesitation.
The way they were going at each other left Shizune standing there helplessly, her face burning. From where she stood, the whole thing looked less like an argument and more like some bizarre kind of flirting.
So in the end, she awkwardly cleared her throat.
"Um... didn't you say you had something important to talk about?"
At that, Tsunade suddenly turned and looked at her.
Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly, and the thoughtful look on her face made Shizune stiffen in place.
Shizune's gaze shifted nervously.
Tsunade's expression did not change, but inwardly, she could only sigh.
What an idiot.
Obito, of course, noticed that little exchange too.
A grin spread across his face.
He leaned back in the Hokage's chair like a man completely at home, then casually gestured toward Shizune. She hesitated, blushed even harder, but still stepped forward when he motioned again.
Then, right in front of Tsunade's helpless stare, Obito propped his legs up and raised an eyebrow as though expecting to be attended to.
Shizune froze for a second.
But under the pressure of both their gazes, she still awkwardly moved closer, doing her best to ease the tension in the only way she could.
Obito let out a satisfied sigh.
"It really has to be you, Shizune," he said in a tone full of lazy amusement. "You really are the perfect maid. Why don't you just resign already and come work for me full-time?"
Shizune flustered immediately.
"U-Uh... I'm sorry... I can't leave Lady Tsunade."
"Tch..."
Obito clicked his tongue, though it sounded more playful than annoyed.
Tsunade's brows twitched.
For some reason, that answer irritated her more than it should have.
What does that even mean, 'can't leave me'? she thought with a faint scowl. So if I wasn't here, you'd actually consider it?
She refused to admit why that line bothered her.
Shizune was still young, after all. And this bastard, no matter how awful a man he was, was still—actually pretty handsome, and... ahem, all in all, he was... cough...
Tsunade realizing her thoughts were going in the wrong direction, stopped herself.
Her expression hardened at once.
Obito noticed the shift in her mood and smiled faintly, clearly entertained.
The atmosphere in the Hokage's office turned strangely embarrassing.
And Shizune, stuck in the middle of it, could only wish the floor would open up and swallow her whole.
As much as Obito wanted to fuck the soft ass in his arms, he had really come this time for business and serious business at that.
So Obito carefully lifted Tsunade up, then, while she still wore that slightly forced look of composure, he set her back down on the seat before straightening up and stretching his body.
Tsunade secretly let out a sigh of relief. For a moment there, when he picked her up, she had thought he was going to...
Shizune was stunned as well. She had still been frozen in that half-massaging posture, but then she quickly pulled herself together and stood up, her face slightly red.
Obito walked over to the window of the Hokage's office, looking down at the village below.
Time really had flown by.
During that time, while amusing himself, he had not neglected either of them. Tsunade and Shizune had both experienced some of his finest "treatment." Even he had to admit Tsunade had been the toughest one to break.
Her willpower had been on a completely different level.
But in the end, it hadn't mattered.
At the end of the day, they were only human.
No matter how strong someone was, there was always a limit to how much they could endure.
What had surprised him, though, was that when he had taken off his mask, neither Shizune nor Tsunade had recognized him.
That had made the dramatic face reveal he had prepared completely pointless.
Honestly, that had been one of the most embarrassing moments of his life, and not something he wanted to dwell on.
Stopping his thoughts there, Obito spoke without turning back, his hands resting in his pockets.
"I'll be doing a few things in the village tonight. Don't panic, and don't interfere."
After that, he explained in detail what he was going to do and how he intended to handle it.
"So that's the situation," he finished calmly. "You two just need to act like nothing happened and keep doing everything as usual. It'll be over after a while. During that time, you don't need to worry about anything. I've already considered the possibilities."
Then he turned around.
Instead of anger, what he saw on their faces was confusion.
"What exactly are you trying to gain by doing something like this...?" Tsunade finally asked, her expression serious, though the slight twitch of her brow made it obvious how complicated her feelings were right now.
Even Shizune kept trying to think it through, but no matter how much she racked her brain, she couldn't figure out what he stood to gain from this.
"You only need to understand one thing," Obito said, his tone turning serious in a way completely different from his usual playful attitude. "This is important. And no mistakes are allowed."
Tsunade's eyes narrowed.
She leaned back slightly in her chair, one hand resting against the armrest while the fingers of the other tapped once against the desk beside her.
"No mistakes, huh..." she repeated, her voice low and edged with annoyance. "You barge into my office, toy with my patience, dump a mess like this in my lap, and then expect me to sit quietly and play along?"
Obito looked at her for a second, then gave a faint nod.
"..."
Seeing him nod so naturally, as if she should be glad he had even come here to tell her all this, made her want to punch him on the spot.
But because of the difference in strength, she held herself back and took a deep breath, her huge chest rising and falling.
"You always do things in the most annoying way possible," she said, rubbing lightly at her temple. "Couldn't you just explain it like a normal person for once?"
"If I used a softer tone with you, Tsunade, you'd be the one overthinking it all night," Obito said in a matter-of-fact tone.
Tsunade's brow twitched. "You narcissistic bastard."
Shizune looked between them, still trying to sort through everything he had just said. "Lady Tsunade's right. If you've already thought this through, then at least explain the important part properly. What exactly are you trying to prevent?"
Obito was quiet for a second.
Then the faint trace of amusement left his face.
"There are a few things moving tonight," he said. "If even one of them slips out of place too early, it'll create more trouble than necessary. That's why I'm telling you in advance. To keep you from reacting to the wrong thing."
Tsunade snorted at that. "There it is. That's the part that pisses me off. Acting all mysterious."
"You really are a pain in the ass."
Obito chuckled and said in a slightly mischievous tone, "That's nothing new... by now, you should have adjusted."
"..."
"Fuck you!!" Tsunade instantly understood the deeper meaning behind his words. She blushed furiously and threw the pen in her hand at him, which he dodged easily. The pen embedded itself into the wall.
"If that's an invitation, you're being way too aggressive about it."
Obito slipped his hands into his pockets again.
Tsunade scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest, making them bulge out more from how worked up she was. "You really don't know how to say anything in a likable way."
"I'm not here to be likable."
"No," she muttered, "that much has always been obvious."
Shizune let out a small breath, feeling like the conversation had at least settled into something less explosive than before.
Even so, she still looked at Obito with concern. "Just... be careful."
Obito glanced at her and gave a faint smile.
"I'll be careful, but you really set a flag for me right there..."
"Well then, see you next time... next time, I hope you agree to my offer..."
Shizune blushed, then turned to Tsunade and signaled her with her eyes.
Tsunade crossed her arms and looked away with a faint huff, not acknowledging his departure at all, which made Shizune feel helpless.
Lady Tsunade is always so stubborn...
Obito didn't care and simply used Kamui. Space twisted around him, ready to engulf his figure, when Tsunade suddenly spoke.
"Just don't do anything reckless… I don't have the patience to deal with the aftermath."
"Don't get the wrong idea. I'm only saying this because I don't want trouble in my village… not because I'm worried about you."
"..."
"…Haha…"
What answered her was a low chuckle as his figure disappeared from the office.
A moment of silence fell over the office as Tsunade resumed work mode as if nothing had happened, but her eyes were unfocused.
For some reason, her heart was beating louder than usual.
