The first facility had established a framework for what pre-System installations contained—the Harvester, the biological horror of bioluminescent veins and stolen faces, the specific terror of something lethal in the walls.
This place offered none of that. It offered clean corridors and precise geometry and crystalline structures glowing at frequencies that varied by section in a pattern that Whisper was reading as organizational rather than decorative.
A filing system. The installation was organized like a filing system.
"It's not a dungeon," Seris said, quietly, after the first twenty minutes.
