The basketball court was packed.
Students filled the bleachers shoulder to shoulder, buzzing with excitement—not just for the big inter-departmental match but for what everyone was really waiting for.
Would Chi Cheng respond?
Would Wu Suo Wei show up?
Was the love triangle real?
Phones were out. Hashtags trending.
The air pulsed with curiosity.
But only two hearts truly mattered.
[On the Court]
Chi Cheng was already warming up, jaw clenched, silent.
His teammates noticed the tension, but they knew better than to ask.
He wasn't just playing for the championship tonight.
He was playing for his Da Bao.
At halftime, the court lights dimmed for the student performance. Girls from the dance department twirled across the floor but Chi Cheng wasn't watching.
He was scanning the crowd.
And then—
There.
Wu Suo Wei.
Standing quietly behind the barrier, beside Jiang Xiao Shuai and Guo Cheng Yu, trying to stay invisible... but failing miserably.
To Chi Cheng, he always glowed.
Their eyes met.
Suo Wei's heart raced.
Why was Chi Cheng looking at him like that?
Why was his chest so tight?
And then—Chi Cheng started walking.
Straight off the court.
Straight across the floor.
Straight toward him.
The music was still playing, the dancers pausing in confusion, the spotlight catching Chi Cheng in motion as he stepped over the barrier like it wasn't even there.
"S-Suo Wei?" Xiao Shuai whispered.
"Is he...?" Cheng Yu blinked.
And then—
The world stopped.
Chi Cheng stood right in front of Wu Suo Wei. His breathing was ragged, his eyes deep and serious, his hair damp with sweat.
"Come here," he said, voice low but firm.
Suo Wei blinked, stunned.
"Chi Cheng, what are you—"
Chi Cheng didn't let him finish.
He leaned forward, hand cradling the back of Suo Wei's neck—
And kissed him.
Right there.
Under the court lights. In front of everyone.
In front of Wang Shuo.
In front of the entire school.
The crowd erupted into gasps, screams, cheers, and camera flashes.
Wu Suo Wei froze for a split second but then melted.
Melted into the warmth of Chi Cheng's lips, his grip, his boldness.
This wasn't a secret anymore.
He could feel Chi Cheng's heart thudding against his chest, his fingertips trembling against his skin.
Their first kiss tasted like everything they'd been holding in for years.
Fear, longing, jealousy, devotion finally breaking free.
When they pulled apart, the court was roaring.
People were crying. Screaming.
Some still in shock.
Some filming for the fourth time.
Chi Cheng leaned in again, brushing his forehead against Suo Wei's, eyes soft but still intense.
"Da Bao," he whispered, voice cracked and real, "I'm done hiding."
Wu Suo Wei's lips parted, tears welling in his lashes.
The crowd chanted:
"KISS! KISS! KISS!"
Chi Cheng ignored them all except the one boy who mattered.
"I love you," he whispered. "Let them know."
Suo Wei nodded shakily.
Then pulled him in for another kiss.
This time—he kissed Chi Cheng.
No hesitation.
No fear.
Only love.
[In the Crowd]
Jiang Xiao Shuai looked stunned. "Holy sh–"
Guo Cheng Yu smirked, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. "Guess it's our turn next."
Shuai shoved him. "Dream on."
But didn't move away.

🧠 @theorist999:
So the Wang Shuo triangle was just a decoy. These two have BEEN engaged. Mark my words.
❤️ @heartstopper.mp4:
That kiss... wasn't just a kiss. It was a love story with a crowd.
