Chapter 112 - Ahmed will not abandon Honoka(part111)

(The three gradually moved away from the school's noise. The students' voices, the whispers, and even the echo of the video… all began to fade behind them, but their impact lingered deep within them.)

The road was silent. Uncomfortably silent.

Honoka walked between Ahmed and Misaki, but this time, the sense of safety wasn't as complete as it had been in the morning. There was something heavy in her steps… something pulling her inward. She was walking… but she was thinking. Thinking about the video. About the people's gazes. About that moment… when she was on the edge.

(Her eyes lowered slowly.)

Honoka (in a faint internal voice):

"Now… everyone knows."

She lightly gripped the edges of her clothes.

"It's no longer a secret…"

She looked at the ground for a moment, then lifted her eyes slightly toward the road ahead.

"But… will this change anything?"

Silence prevailed. Misaki looked at her from time to time, noticing those small, unspoken details: the slowness of her steps, her broken gaze, and that exhaustion that words cannot describe. As for Ahmed… he walked quietly, but his eyes never strayed far from her. He wasn't searching for words; he was searching for the right moment for her.

Minutes passed. Then, Honoka stopped suddenly. Her footsteps halted… as if something inside her had reached its limit. She turned to them slowly. Her eyes weren't tearful, but they held a question. Fear. And hesitation.

Honoka (in a low voice):

"If… I go home…"

She stopped. It was as if the words were too heavy to come out. She looked away for a moment… then continued:

"Do you think everything… will be normal?"

A brief silence followed. Her question wasn't simple. It wasn't just about the house… but about her place within it. Misaki looked at Ahmed, then took a step toward Honoka.

Misaki (in a warm, sincere voice):

"We don't know what will happen…"

She gave a slight, yet embracing smile:

"But we will be with you."

Ahmed looked at her, then added calmly:

Ahmed: "Whatever happens… you won't face it alone."

Honoka paused. She looked at them. For a few seconds, she said nothing. But something inside her moved. It wasn't a full healing… but a beginning. She nodded slowly, then said in a faint voice:

"Okay…"

They resumed walking. Their three-way steps became more synchronized. But the road ahead… was not clear. And at the end of the street… there was a door waiting. A door… that might open to a warm embrace… or shatter what remains.

(Advice: Never underestimate the power of your presence in someone else's life; sometimes, simply staying by their side is the greatest rescue you can offer.)
