"We should return. The next few decades are likely to be turbulent. The Douluo Federation focuses on colonization, and their resources will eventually run dry. Originally, their target was Tianlong Star… But now that we've appeared, it's possible that the Dragon Horse Galaxy and Douluo might even join forces to attack us," Yun Ming sighed.
"Understood. After returning, I will rally the dragon clans and negotiate with the Dragon Horse Galaxy," Di Tian said.
However, he estimated that success was unlikely. Leaving aside the remnants of the dragon clans in the Dragon Horse Galaxy, even the pure-blooded true dragons of the Ten Thousand Dragon Valley would scoff at those half-dragon, half-horse hybrids.
Expecting the Dragon God himself to negotiate with them?
Impossible.
"Young Lady, let's go back."
"Alright! I want to keep exploring the Star Dou Great Forest with Aunt Bi Ji!" Bai Yue said cheerfully, her voice brimming with childlike innocence, free from any trace of worry.
---
Outer Reaches of the Douluo Plane Domain.
A strict space defense system was in place here, guarding against infiltration and surveillance from other dimensions.
But these soul technology defenses were useless against two Hyper God-level powerhouses—especially one who excelled in spatial abilities, the Silver Dragon King. Just like Di Tian and Yun Ming, they descended quietly onto Douluo Plane.
Standing in the outer cosmos, this Douluo Plane was truly magnificent. The oceans and landmasses were roughly equal in size, blending azure and emerald hues. Even before entering, they could feel the overwhelming vitality emanating from the planet—a level of life energy so profound that it could only belong to a world that had undergone multiple evolutions.
"So this is the other Douluo?" Tang Wulin murmured in awe.
"Now I understand why the Sea God Pavilion suddenly shifted its target. If they could devour this place—even just a part of it—it would be enough to elevate Shrek Academy's Eternal Sky City, transforming its life energy into immortal spirit energy…"
Nana did not respond. Instead, her gaze fixed on a particular direction, and Tang Wulin followed her line of sight.
There, an immense draconic aura pulsed…
"The Ten Thousand Dragon Valley…" Nana whispered.
"Then let's go. We'll check it out first." Tang Wulin knew that soul beasts had always been Nana's unresolved burden. In their original Douluo Plane, soul beasts had been driven out, forced to survive on Spirit Planet. The Lake of Life at the core of the Star Dou Great Forest spanned only a thousand meters—smaller even than Shrek Academy's Sea God Lake.
But here… the dragon clans had actually revived. Back in the Dragon Tomb, the remains of dragons had been scattered everywhere. By all logic, pure-blooded true dragons should have been impossible.
Silver light flickered as Nana activated her spatial abilities, carrying Tang Wulin through the void. In just a few minutes, they arrived at the Ten Thousand Dragon Valley.
From high above, they looked down upon a mountain range stretching hundreds of thousands of miles, towering ancient trees rising like primeval forests. Occasional dragon roars shook the heavens, as if great battles were being fought.
ROAR!
At that moment, a dragon detected their presence.
A telepathic voice echoed: "Who… dares trespass upon the Ten Thousand Dragon Valley?"
"A pure-blooded Golden-Eyed Black Dragon! Of the Dark Dragon King lineage…" Nana froze. This dragon's strength wasn't top-tier—its cultivation was only around 600,000 years, likely a regional overlord among the soul beasts, a ranked凶兽 (Beast).
A hundred-meter-long draconic body shot out from a cave, landing atop a mountain ridge. Its black wings spread wide—a display of dominance, a warning to intruders.
Among dragons, the strong preyed on the weak. If a fellow dragon came to contest territory, the only resolution was battle.
Victory or retreat.
But the moment its golden eyes locked onto Gu Yuena's figure—its pupils shrank to pinpricks. In an instant, it assumed human form, crossed the distance in a flash, and knelt before her in submission.
"Subordinate Di Hong, Golden-Eyed Black Dragon, pays respects to the Dragon Sovereign!" Di Hong knelt mid-air, head bowed. "This subordinate did not know of Your Majesty's return. My earlier actions were instinctive—please forgive this transgression."
Gu Yuena was momentarily stunned by this turn of events. After a brief recollection, she realized that the dragons of this world had mistaken her for their own Gu Yuena—the one who had left ten thousand years ago.
"No matter. Where is this place?" she asked, feigning composure.
"The Ten Thousand Dragon Valley—Black Dragon Forest," Di Hong replied respectfully, rising slowly. However, his eyes flicked suspiciously toward Tang Wulin. He couldn't discern the man's strength or even confirm if he was of dragon descent.
"I have been away for a long time. Brief me on the current state of the dragon clans," Gu Yuena commanded.
"As you wish, Dragon Sovereign. Our dragon clans have been revitalized. The Ten Thousand Dragon Valley is now led by the current Dragon Sovereign—Dragon God Di Tian—under whom serve the Nine Great Dragon Clans. I belong to the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon lineage. If you venture deeper into the valley, you will meet our patriarch, the current Dark Dragon King. Beyond that, there are the Jade Dragon King, the Fire Dragon King…"
Gu Yuena frowned. "Tell me—what are the cultivation levels of the Nine Great Dragon Kings now?"
"Reporting to the Sovereign, our patriarch has already ascended to Divine Beast status, having survived the million-year divine tribulation. As for his exact cultivation… I do not know."
"Divine Beast…" A weight settled in Gu Yuena's heart. If they ventured further and their strength proved insufficient, they might not leave alive.
"Dragon Sovereign… may this subordinate ask a question?" Di Hong ventured timidly.
"Speak."
"Where… is that great one now? Please do not misunderstand—this subordinate does not seek to pry into his whereabouts. It is just… that individual is a great benefactor to our dragon clans. Both I and the Nine Great Dragon Kings wish to express our gratitude in person, to repay his act of rebirth."
"Rebirth…" Gu Yuena murmured.
"Yes. Back then, if not for that great one's divine power reviving the dragon clans, we would never have reached this day. Thus, in the bloodline of every dragon—even the current Dragon God—his visage is engraved. Yours as well, Sovereign, so that we may recognize our benefactors upon meeting and repay our debts."
This was why Di Hong had instantly recognized Gu Yuena the moment he saw her.
After a moment's thought, Nana exchanged a glance with Tang Wulin. Perhaps they could play along.
"I… haven't seen him in a long time either. Could you manifest his image? I wish to see him again…"
Di Hong was puzzled but complied.
The Ten Thousand Dragon Valley was usually isolated, with little interaction with the Federation. News of the other Douluo's existence had only just reached the Nine Great Dragon Kings via Di Tian's orders.
Di Hong expanded his spiritual power, sketching the figure in the air. He even recreated the scene—a white-robed man walking through the Dragon Tomb, fingertips sprinkling life, dragon eggs manifesting one after another. This was the moment of the dragon clans' rebirth.
Yet… the face of the white-robed figure remained blurred.
Nana recognized the setting—the man was indeed in the Dragon Tomb. She even saw the massive skeleton of the Mountain Dragon King. But the act of reviving the dragons with a wave of his hand… it was nothing short of miraculous.
"Di Hong! The clan assembly has begun!"
Suddenly, a thunderous voice echoed through the forest—ancient, authoritative, brooking no argument.
Nana and Tang Wulin tensed as a spiritual force swept over them, lingering. The owner of this power was at least…
"Patriarch! I've found the original Dragon Sovereign!" Di Hong exclaimed excitedly.
"!!!!"
ROAR—!!!
Divine power surged, darkness erupted, and the skies twisted. In an instant, black clouds blotted out the heavens, altering the very weather.
A colossal black dragon loomed within the clouds, its golden vertical pupils coldly surveying the trio below. The Dark Dragon King had sensed their bloodlines—Silver Dragon King and Golden Dragon King.
He had just learned of the other Douluo's existence in the valley's inner sanctum. The most critical piece of information was the parallel world's Sovereign…
Now, things had taken an unexpected turn.
"Come with me."
The Dark Dragon King's tone left no room for refusal. He did not kneel to Nana. With a wave of his hand, darkness coiled beneath their feet, carrying them swiftly toward the heart of the Ten Thousand Dragon Valley.
Nana and Tang Wulin, unsure of the situation, dared not act recklessly. After all… this Dark Dragon King's strength was no weaker than theirs. They had only just awakened, their power not yet at its peak. Tang Wulin's 17th Golden Dragon King seal remained unbroken, and Gu Yuena's memories had only recently been restored by Di Tian—her strength still needed time to recover.
Simultaneously, several other terrifying auras stirred, their divine senses sweeping over the duo, further deterring any rash actions.
Eventually, Nana and Tang Wulin were brought to the core of the Ten Thousand Dragon Valley—the Valley of the Dragon Kings.
Nine towering peaks stood here, their bases saturated with the divine power of the Nine Great Dragon Kings, transforming the land. Beneath the Dark Dragon King's thousand-meter-long body, an abyss of black mist churned—a symbol of his authority.
Gu Yuena and Tang Wulin were deposited at the center of the nine peaks—the summit of the Nine-Colored Divine Mountain.
The seat of the Dragon God.
"Dark Dragon… didn't the Dragon God just warn us about imposters from a parallel universe? How did you bring them here so quickly?" A draconic figure materialized from the void, its vertical pupils scrutinizing the pair on the mountaintop. Its words were merciless.
The duo's expressions darkened. The two Dragon Kings before them were no weaker than they were—and more divine senses were awakening, drawn to the disturbance in the Valley of the Dragon Kings.
"The memories engraved in our bloodlines… Original Sovereign, it has been a long time." The Jade Dragon King arrived, her draconic form radiating elegance.
"Indeed, it has been too long… If only the Golden Dragon King beside you were that great one instead…"
More Dragon Kings gathered, their massive forms blotting out the sky. The assembly of the Nine Great Dragon Kings seemed poised to deliver a final judgment.
"All of them… Divine Beasts?" Tang Wulin was stunned. How could this world sustain so many divine-level beings?
"Should we inform the Dragon God?" the Water Dragon King—the only female among the Nine—asked.
"No need."
The Dark Dragon King spoke: "Golden Dragon King and Silver Dragon King… by all rights, we should have no connection. You are not our Sovereigns. Yet you've appeared abruptly on Douluo Plane. Have you come for war?"
"No. We came out of curiosity," Tang Wulin explained.
"You are Tang Wulin, correct? The one from the Federation's history books?" the Water Dragon King asked playfully. Despite her draconic form, her tone was lively.
"…Yes." Tang Wulin was confused. In this world, hadn't he died and been recorded in history?
"Huh?" The Water Dragon King's expression turned odd. She had read those history books. The Tang family's deeds were infamous across Douluo.
Nana's face darkened. She hadn't expected the Nine Great Dragon Kings to be this powerful—each one rivaled her.
She prepared for battle. At the very least… their bloodlines and the Dragon God Core gave them an edge. If they activated Dragon God Transformation…
"Silver Dragon King… we have a question."
"Ask."
"Where is that great one in your world?" the Dark Dragon King demanded.
"I don't know. I've never met this 'great one,' nor do I know his name or appearance," Nana answered truthfully.
Silence.
Absolute silence.
"In your world, the dragon clans fled to the Dragon Horse Galaxy, merging with the Tianlong and Tianma to form a new faction?" The Mountain Dragon King's gravelly voice rumbled—his body the most massive among the Nine.
"What do you intend to do?" Tang Wulin shielded Nana, a golden dragon phantom manifesting behind him. They had been reckless to come here.
Perhaps they couldn't even defeat the Tianlong Star's leader now.
Ten thousand years had passed. This was no longer their era. The two who had once stood at the pinnacle of Douluo now found themselves cornered.
"Judging by her reaction, it must be true. Dark Dragon… without that great one's power, would we even be here today? The old Dragon God's resurrection couldn't have revived us, let alone given us a new beginning. If that other Douluo doesn't appreciate their dragons, then we shall reclaim them," the Fire Dragon King declared.
Tang Wulin and Nana tensed. So, Douluo Plane was indeed targeting the Dragon Horse Galaxy.
"Retrieve the Dragon God's relics and offer them to our Dragon God. If Lord Di Tian reaches God King rank, we will naturally ascend to first-grade deities."
If Di Tian became a Supreme God King, the Nine Great Dragon Kings would reach God King level—the limit of their bloodline's potential.
"No! The Dragon God's inheritance has already been decided. The Dragon God of this universe is Di Tian—why must you seize our legacy?" Nana protested.
Dragon God Di Tian's words that day had been true. The old Dragon God had chosen Lan Xuanyu as his successor. Bloodline alone wasn't enough—the Dragon Tomb still held many relics waiting for him.
"We have forsaken the old Dragon God. The first Dragon God of our reborn clans was Gu Yuena! The second is our Sovereign, Di Tian!"
The Dark Dragon King cut in: "Enough. The Sovereign has arrived."
A colossal nine-colored dragon descended from the cosmos directly into the Ten Thousand Dragon Valley. His thousand-meter-long form loomed over the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings, his eyes flickering with intrigue.
"I return from a Federation meeting only to find you here…" Di Tian assumed human form, eyeing the isolated duo with amusement.
Sneaking in was one thing—but getting caught? A classic case of overreach.
Di Tian could infiltrate freely because he was the Dragon God, a half-step God King. But these two…
"Sovereign!" The Nine Great Dragon Kings bowed in unison.
"The Federation has handed the Dragon Horse Galaxy to us. Since it involves dragon descendants, we will handle the negotiations," Di Tian said calmly, ignoring the nervous pair.
"Jade Dragon King, you will lead your clan there."
"As you command."
"As for you two intruders… The Federation has been troubled by your Douluo's provocations. You've provided the perfect pretext."
