Chapter 474 - Chapter 474: The Creator God

As one of the candidates for High Pontiff, Kuruku Mofus did not care much about power.

As the daughter of the former High Pontiff, she only wished to live her life quietly—attend worship, serve the gods, and carry out divine works.

After all, in her heart, Goddess Alice was a great deity who guided and saved the world. The gods had created the world and lovingly protected humanity… this was what all believers of the AL Church thought.

Indeed, the Creator God Ludasam had created this world and the gods. The gods then created humans, Kara, dwarves, demon kings, demon lords, and monsters.

But this was not out of kindness. It was merely so that the Creator God would not feel bored—beings created as toys.

To the gods, what they pursued was never the peaceful and benevolent world humans longed for.

On the contrary, they preferred watching humans hate each other, slaughter one another, and sink into utter despair.

And what Goddess Alice sought was not to guide humanity toward peace, but to provide entertainment that pleased the gods—and to amuse the Creator God.

To make humans suffer, she deliberately brought chaos and war. Under the pretext of "maintaining balance," she sealed away technologies and inventions that would make humanity stronger.

All of it was to make humanity endure suffering, to struggle in despair and pain—for amusement.

When she learned this truth, Kuruku should have fallen into despair.

But now… she felt nothing at all.

The reason was simple.

"Bang!!"

Goddess Alice was slammed heavily to the ground. Her shining golden hair was now stained with dust. The once cold, aloof smile on her face had twisted into terror. She desperately stretched out her hands, trying to crawl forward.

A steel hand reached from behind her, grabbed her leg, and dragged her back.

Like a dead fish, Goddess Alice was flipped over—and then kicked brutally in the abdomen.

"Ah… ugh… uuuu…"

Her bloodshot eyes widened. Snot ran down her face. Her mouth gaped open as filth spilled onto the ground.

Ah… so even a goddess can vomit.

As a believer of the AL Church, seeing her revered goddess in such a disgraceful state, Kuruku should have rushed forward and sacrificed her life for her faith.

But she merely stood there, watching without the slightest emotional fluctuation, as if what unfolded had nothing to do with her.

Duanmu Huai clearly had no intention of stopping. He grabbed the goddess, whose body was curled like a shrimp, lifted her high, and smashed her against the wall. One hand seized her throat while the other clenched into a fist, hammering down onto her face.

Bang! Bang! Bang!!!

With every iron punch, Goddess Alice's face twisted and deformed. Her delicate nose broke, teeth shattered and scattered, her face bruised and swollen, blood streaming. Yet soon, her ballooned, battered features regenerated and returned to normal.

Duanmu Huai did not care. He lifted her petite body high and slammed her down against his three-foot blade, pressing hard!

"AAAAAAAAAA!!!"

A scream like a pig being slaughtered erupted from Goddess Alice. Duanmu Huai launched attack after savage attack. Her small body bulged grotesquely, eyes wide, mouth agape, pupils unfocused. Her arms flailed instinctively, clawing at him. She looked less like a sacred goddess and more like a mouse being toyed with by a cat.

Bang!

"Ugh… uuuuuugh!!!"

Under another merciless strike, her mouth hung open, eyes rolling back, tongue lolling out. Thick, murky white filth spewed from her mouth as she howled like a wounded beast.

Then Duanmu Huai grabbed her by the head, lifted her high, and slammed her face down onto the ground.

"Speak. Who is your master, you lowly bitch?!"

"It… it is you… great God of Destruction…"

Goddess Alice had long since lost all dignity. She trembled like a bullied puppy. Anyone seeing such a beautiful girl treated this way might feel pity.

But to Duanmu Huai, she had no value. From the moment she revealed her true purpose, she was nothing but an evil god that had to be eradicated.

The Inquisition's creed: eliminate all that threatens humanity.

Aliens, demons, even evil gods—it made no difference.

Any being that dared threaten humanity would receive no mercy before the Inquisition!

"Take me to the Creator God."

"Yes… yes…"

Trembling, Goddess Alice pressed her hand against the ground. In the next instant, the scenery shifted. They arrived at the edge of a cliff.

Across the abyss floated an enormous whale—so vast it seemed to reach the heavens—radiating brilliant white light.

It hovered in the sky, a massive eye gazing down coldly at the scene.

"Hmph. Finally found you."

Duanmu Huai snorted. He stepped forward, grabbed Goddess Alice by the head, and squeezed hard.

"You're useless now, bitch!"

Squish!!

Her head burst like a watermelon. Her headless corpse collapsed and was instantly consumed by black flames.

Kuruku watched the goddess's body burn to ashes without reaction.

Duanmu Huai drew his warhammer and glared viciously at the white whale.

"That's it?"

At his question, the ghostly girl emerged from his ring, looked at the enormous whale, and nodded.

"Y-Yes, Lord Inquisitor. It's the white whale the Tech-Priests used for psychic experiments…"

"Damn it. I knew those grease-monkeys were up to no good!"

Duanmu Huai cursed.

Back when he had been transported to Monster Tamer Island and discovered fragments of Adeptus Mechanicus facilities, he had suspected psychic biological experiments gone wrong. It seemed he had been correct. The white whale had mutated during experiments, triggering a Warp storm that hurled the research base into this world.

With the Tech-Priests dead, the whale gained freedom. Somehow it obtained core permissions to this world fragment, creating a customized MOD version of reality—and declaring itself Creator.

"Heehee…"

The whale's massive eye rolled, revealing a strange expression.

"I never expected you to kill Alice…"

"Next, it's your turn, filthy beast."

Duanmu Huai gripped his warhammer tightly.

"A lowly animal daring to farm humans for pleasure. A crime worthy of death!"

"Heehee… heehee… and what of it?"

The whale's voice was twisted and cold with delight.

"Were humans not the same? Locking me in a cage, torturing me, taking pleasure in my suffering? If so, why can I not do the same to humanity?"

"The reason is simple."

Duanmu Huai raised his warhammer. Black flames erupted around him.

"Because you are nothing but a filthy, lowly psychic beast! Die, scum! In the name of the Inquisition, I will annihilate your body and soul, and you will howl in endless fury as you repent your foolish sins!"

The whale lifted its head.

"Then let us see if you have the ability, human!"

They stared at each other.

Then pure white radiance and black flames expanded violently and collided.

The battle began.

The whale shrieked. With its roar, countless monsters surged forth, rushing Duanmu Huai. He swung his warhammer. The black flames of destined death erupted into a roaring vortex, devouring the creatures utterly.

"Lowly beast! With such power you dare call yourself Creator? Laughable!"

He spun the warhammer and leapt toward the whale.

Psychic waves surged like tidal fury, crashing down upon him. Against such overwhelming force, Duanmu Huai seemed like a tiny bee—

But that was illusion.

Wrapped in black fire, he became a near-invisible streak, piercing the psychic storm. By the time the whale realized the danger, Duanmu Huai was already before it.

"Repent, scum! This is the price for angering humanity!!!"

Charging through the storm, Duanmu Huai swung his thunder hammer at the whale's eye.

Boom!!!!

The eye—large as a lake—shattered under the blow. Blood gushed like a torrent. The whale screamed deafeningly and recoiled.

It thrashed, trying to shake him off.

But Duanmu Huai had already plunged into the shattered eye.

Facing massive blood vessels and tunnels, he chuckled and drew his chainsword.

"Next… time for cranial surgery."

He spoke.
