At the declaration Hani had just made, Xian could not help but frown. Leslie watched Emma as she bit her lip, trying not to say anything that could hurt Hani. It was not the time and place. How could she stop Hani after all she had been through? And since Stella is one of her closest friends, Emma could not do anything.
Unlike Emma, Xian had no filter, nothing stopping him from speaking his mind.
"What the hell do you mean?" Xian gripped onto Hani's shoulders, "You are a kid. Let the adults do their jobs. It's not your place to do this. Why would you sacrifice yourself for her? Is your life not important to you, Hani?"
Hani frowned at Xian. There was a clear implication in Xian's words and tone. The grip from his hands is getting tighter.
"How can you say that, Xian? Stella is our friend! Do you not want to help her?" Hani fought back.
